Randomisation in Qualtrics

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

I’m fairly new to embedded data in Qualtrics and am having trouble trying to randomise 3 variables (let’s call them A, B, and C) for my study.

I have 18 stimuli per variable. At any one trial, all 3 variables will presented in a fixed order (e.g., A, B, C). All participants will be going through 18 trials. However, I do not want participants to see repeated stimuli from either A, B, or C (hence the use of embedded data). This means that participants could be seeing very different combinations.

Is there a simple way to do this?

Put the stimuli of each variable in separatre blocks. Use a randomizer to display only one block.

Hi Ahmed, wouldn’t that put all variables separately? In one page, I would need say A1, B3, C5 to appear together.
