How do I change variable labels after data collection without causing any data loss?
I would like to change numbered variable labels to sustantive labels that do not start with any numeric characters in order to upload data to stata more easily and recognize variable content more quickly but I have already collected responses. I have tried renaming variable labels post data collection and it deleted recorded responses for the renamed variable. Is there any way to change labels without causing data loss?

Hey, @LNEllyne! You should be able to add/edit variable names at any point during your survey duration without causing any data loss. I'm sorry to hear that this is not what you experienced and recommend that you reach out to our Support Team so that they can look into this with you!

+39Better you change the labels in export file say SPSS or any other format, rather than changing in survey.
