How many surveys should a team run? Engagement, wellbeing, onboarding, exit, pulse, adhoc, facilities etc, etc. How to avoid survey fatigue and how you make sure surveys dont overlap.

The trends I’ve been seeing in Higher Ed have been onboarding and exit (for students) c/o the academic programs.

As far as fatigue keeping it short, sweet, and to the point.  Students are notorious for not reading their email but I’ve heard programs have had success with the QR codes and allowing class time to complete important surveys.

Only collecting the data you actually need and intend to use depending on the purpose of the survey to prevent overlap.

I don’t think there is a single right answer @PeeyushBansal 😉

Before we explore which and how many surveys will accurately measure EX it may help to remind ourselves what EX is. And XM has a neat definition, namely the perceptions that employees have of their collective interactions with their employers.

Now we have this guideline explaining what EX is, surveys can be designed to measure those things that affect & impact those perceptions. I think this link can help guide you based on the best practices that XM has summarised.

Curious to your thoughts!
