Topic: Response Rates

Low response rates can be caused by a variety of different factors including respondent motivation, survey length, and even invitation email wording. Although high response rates alone don’t define the quality of your data, generally, the higher the response rate, the more representative the sample and the less likeliness of non-response bias.

Generally, companies report having response rates that fall between 20% and 30%, if your rates are lower than 20%, it is essential that you review your survey and take actions to improve your respondents' survey experience, whether that be reducing the survey length or simplifying complicated wording.
