Stats iQ shows no significant relationship

Hi, I have created a survey test on Qualtrics and, after running a test survey with 100 participants, I am trying to analyze the data. When I go in the Data & Analysis tab and I select 2 different variable and try to relate them, as result I get the graph but with the title: "There is no statistically significant relationship between Q11: Are you male or female? and Coffee". How can I make the correlation significant? Should I run the test with more participants or should I use different questions? Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards, Alessandro

Is it possible to do a chi-square test / cross table analyse in qualtrics?

Hi there, I would like to make a chi-sqaure test / cross table analyse to see if there is a significant difference between two variables (the variables in this case are: respondents of 17-22 years and respondents of 23-24 years)| I want to avoid having to switch over to SPSS, only because of this. Would be wonderful if anybody can help me with this question.

How can I create a dummy variable to run a regression analysis?

Hello everybody! I want to run a regression for my NPS with other variables as CSAT(numeric) and another variable but is a categorical variable. Someone told me something about creating dummy variables to run this analysis taking all the variables as numerical. Does someone know how to do this? Thanks!! :#

How to prepare data for a Regression Analysis

I have a set of data including a 10 point rating scale (overall satisfaction) and about 20 service rating questions (measured using a 5 point satisfaction scale). What I would really like to do is to run a regression analysis to measure how well correlated each of the satisfaction statements are with the overall rating question (and ideally to be able to order them by ‘importance’ / key drivers). Are there any suggestions out there on how I should prepare the data and use stats IQ / Regression to best achieve this. I have statsIQ and have tried running with the full data (using the 10 pt and 5pt scale data) but not confident in the results. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Alternative types of regression analysis

I'm trying to do some regression analysis and historically we've used the Kruskal approach but the standard approach in Qualtrics is different. Is it possible to offer multiple types of regression analysis so that users can pick the one that is most appropriate for them?

Hello I wanted to see what is the best way to count the final page that a user has visited on a survey. A little back ground. I have created an assessment page that uses page logic to determine what final page will show up for individuals based on their selected answer. I need to see if there is a way to pull the data on the last visited page.

Scores not showing up correctly as embedded data - why not please?

I am using scoring and scoring categories to link responses from multiple questions into 'groups'. I have then created embedded data fields that correspond to each category and linked each to the Piped Data Scoring element in the hope of being able to use scores in dashboards. However, despite getting all this set up in what I think is the right way, the embedded data fields seem to be showing a count of the number of times a response has been selected and not the cumulative scores of all the responses. What am I doing wrong please?

Analysis Create new variable

I have two variable one for Gender contains Male and Female and the second variable for Age contains age up to 50 and age more than 50. Now I have created a new variable called Ban1 contains Male, Female, Age upto 50 and Age more than 50. I wish to use the variable Ban1 for cross tabbing with other variables. But created new variable (Analysis -> Create new variable) not showing any value for Age column though showing value for Gender columns. Please note the age variable showing its value when describing as an individual variable. Can you please help me out to solve the issue.

How can I analyse variables in SPSS which were randomised in Qualtrics?

For my Honours dissertation I am using a 2x2 experimental design with four treatments. I have conducted a pre-test survey on Qualtrics to test the images which I will use for the four treatments in the main study, and respondents were randomly allocated to one of the four conditions. I am measuring the sustainability and aesthetic design of delivery packaging and I want to check the images are having the intended effect using a one-sample t-test on each condition to see if there was a significant difference in the perceived sustainability and aesthetic design of the delivery packaging from the neutral value (4) for EACH experimental condition. I have exported my data from Qualtrics to show the randomisation but how can I now analyse the measures for the the different randomised groups? Thanks in advance!

I've conducted a conjoint analyses and first looked at the total results. After refreshing conjoint clustering, the totals have changed and I can't seem to get back to the total results and the feature importance changed. How is this possible and how do I return to the total results? Thanks!

I built a survey with 26 questions, a number of them I put basic scoring logic into them. I am able to export responses and the associated scores for each individual question which is perfect and I need to maintain BUT I also would like to on the back end have the survey group a number of questions together and return the max score within the questions grouped and return that as a separate score. In total I need to be able to group questions and arrive at a category score for 6 separate categories and based on the category score I need to come up with an overall score using a weighted formula for each of the categories. Is this possible and how best to accomplish?

How to add percentile to a report

This should be a very simple question to answer. For a particular question or variable, how do I add the participants percentile to a report? For example, I responded 5.0 on a scale of 0-10 for this item, I fall within the X percentile of respondents to this question. Thank you.

Is there an easier and less manual way to recode categorical variables into numerical variables?

I tried to use the toggle functionality in the variable settings menu to change categorical scales into numerical scales in Stats IQ for running analysis. For some reason, it lets me toggle between the two, but in practice it does not work. When I try to run a regression analysis on those numerical variables it errors out. The only way for me to currently fix this is to create an entirely new clean variable where I recode the variable into numerical values. This wouldn't be a pain on a smaller survey, but I am trying to do this on a larger relationship survey that has several variables which need recoded. Anyone find a more efficient way to do this?

How to analyze thousands of open ended text responses?

Hi Community, I have thousands of open ended text responses from my survey. What is the best way to analyze those responses? Reading about 100 or 200 responses is possible, but reading thousands of responses is not possible. Please suggest some good ways to analyze the responses effectively and efficiently. Thanks, Tan

How to link multiple surveys based on the participants ID?

Hello Qualtrics community! I know someone has already asked a similar question. But my question is slightly different. I want to link multiple surveys so that they filter into the same database according to participant ID. However, I won't use the "RecipientID" that provided by Qualtrics as I don't want to identify them by their actual names. I will ask participants to create their own unique ID with 4 digits and 2 characteristic (in the way that they can remember). I will use anonymous link. Anyone know how to do it?

include all results (and not just a sample) in statsIQ analyses

I have a survey that, so far, has garnered ~6200 responses (I'm expecting between 8K-10K). I've set up some basic analyses in statsIQ to be able to see the data as they come in. However, only about half of the responses are selected, as statsIQ has automatically taken a sample of the results in order to load the analyses more quickly. While this might make sense for some inferential statistics, it presents a problem for basic descriptive statistics, such as breaking the data down by a specific answer. I sent the survey out to about 60 sites and I'd like to be able to see how many responses I've gotten from each site (each site was given a specific link and I use embedded data to ID responses from that site). Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate the option to report on the entire population rather than just a sample. Any ideas on how to turn this 'feature' off?

Can I upload an excel database to store in Qualtrics?

Hi there, I have an excel database that stores specific project information for a number of projects (not survey data). This includes things like project title, funder, client, year start, year end, etc. I would like to transfer this database to be stored/edited in Qualtrics (like one might store a contact list). I would also like to be able to run quick analyses (for example, how many of our projects started in 2015). I can run these quick descriptive analyses by Creating Project > Imported Data Project and uploading the file. However, I can't see all of the data in a table ot edit the data (or I just don't know how to). Does anyone know if a way where I might be able to do this? Thanks!

Data prep for StatsIQ: how to properly set up a column with multiple categories (multi-answer)

Hi all, I'm using an imported spreadsheet of NPS survey results in Stats IQ. I have categorized the NPS comments in a column in the spreadsheet. Originally, I had the different categories listed in multiple columns, since sometimes a person will talk about multiple topics in a comment. However, that wasn't a useful way to have the data coded to bring into Stats IQ, so I created (with a formula) a column that is a semicolon separated list of the topics in the original topic columns. Stats IQ isn't parsing that column as I'd like. Same issue with a comma separated list. Here's an example of one cell in my spreadsheet where the respondent mentioned multiple topics in their response: Product quality; Support quality Stats IQ sees this as a single value instead of two values, so I have a sample size of 95, but 74 distinct categories. Any cell with multiple categories like the one above is being treated as a whole and is not split into the proper categories. Is there a better separator

Show stats on pivot table

I have a pivot table that shows how boys compared to girls on a self-rating scale of 0-10. Stats-IQ shows me that several of the differences between the two groups are statistically significant. I'd like to be able to show the p-values in the same table so that the degree of significance is a little clearer and allow the readers to see and judge for themselves about the level of significance. But I can't seem to find a way to show the statistics in the same table. They're obviously available, since Qualtrics based it's decision on whether to mark it significant or not would have been based on running those stats. It would also be nice to be able to change or at least report which test was run. here's a screenshot of the table: ! Is there a way to show the p-values alongside the other data in this table?

Mean values for matrix items

We have set up a matrix question. In order to make it mobile friendly, the likert scale is designed as drop-down and the scale values have been coded as numbers (1-5). After we collected some test responses, it is impossible to calculate means in Stats iQ, even by changing the variable settings. Can anyone support?

Using topics in Stats IQ

We have a load of text responses that have been tagged in Text IQ. Is there any way to use them as a variable in Stats IQ? I feel like I'm missing something! Thanks.
