Data migration for Close the loop / Ticketing: from Medalia to Qualtrics | XM Community
Skip to main content

Hello Community,
I hope you can help us.

We currently have tickets on another platform (Medalia). And we need to migrate the tickets that were created in Medalia to the Qualtrics platform.
Of course, preferably tied to the survey that generated them. Now there are a few hundred tickets but soon we will have to migrate thousands.

Please, is there a way/process to do a mass migration of Tickets to the Qualtrics system?

Thanks in advance for any Idea,

Sael

Hi,

Maybe you can import surveys response to a survey, via API or STFP, and populate the survey with the full response and the full ticket data, and create a workflow that create a ticket after every survey response import, the only thing i see is that the tickets are going to have as a “created date” the day that the workflow run.

I have thought of a similar idea.
Since when asking the support team they told me that there is no way to import them directly as in the surveys, we had to think of alternatives.

The alternative is similar to what you @mpossob propose:

  • Take the survey in Qualtrics.
  • Create a ticket creation workflow for the responses to be migrated
  • Migrate the responses that generated the tickets.
  • Trigger the ticket creation WF only for "imported" responses, with the information necessary to link the old response and survey to the ticket to be uploaded.
  • Create another WF for ticket modification.
  • Load the ticket information, with an imported data project, when loaded, another ticket data update flow will be created.

Let's hope everything goes well and I'll let you know.

If anyone can think of something better we are still open to better ideas.

Greetings!
