Loop and merge based on text entry

Hey there,
I have a very specific use case with loop and merge:
So I have this question and people can enter text into the text entry boxes on the left. It's a basic matrix with statements that all allow text entry and I have hidden the statement text so only the text entry box can be seen.

Now in the next step, I have a loop&merge question based on the question above, but only for those that ticked privately. So far, I've tried any combination but Qualtrics only gives the option "selected choices - entered text" which then gives me all entered texts instead of only those that selected privately. If I choose "selected choices - privately" then of course Qualtrics does not return the entered text but the statement text above.
