I am suggesting that Qualtrics file failure errors be more specific. When you get an error, it would be nice to have more specific identification with where the error was throwing in the processing of the file. Also, it would be really helpful if Qualtrics could compile a troubleshooting guide for common errors that happen when running files in an automation. Overall, I’m looking for Qualtrics support to have a dedicated resource specifically for troubleshooting automation file failures.
Thanks for leaving your comment here! Having set up many automations myself, I know what you mean. But there are some prompts the platform gives you if you put yourself in the final screen of the Automation to receive “Run Reports” that tell you why the Automation failed. Check out this link to see where to add your email to receive these Run Reports.

I think you will find that helpful. Also this article shows you how to view history which can also give clues as to why the automation failed.

If after reviewing these links you still feel the documentation needs to be better, you should submit this as a Product Idea. XM Community members can now do this pretty easily using the “Ideas” page on the top of the screen for the XM Community.
I hope this helps.
