Hello!I am having some issues with Text IQ and hoping someone has an answer.Can someone help me understand - should Text IQ use the topics I have created to automatically tag all responses with those words in the data set? Here’s what I have done so far:I have created a series of topics and sub topics, some based on the qualtrics recommendations (which have 70+ responses within them) I have manually tagged about 200 out of 1400 responses Hit review and publish Only the manually coded responses appear Am I missing a step here?Or does the tool not automatically code the data and its all manual? Thanks,Tim

Hi all! I am creating a longitudinal study that spans 7 days. The day 1 survey will ask some demographics questions, and based on a participants responses to these questions, I would like the following surveys to display specific questions.  For example, in survey 1 if a participant states that they have 2 siblings, in surveys 2-6 they should be showed questions about having 2 siblings; if they stated they have 3 siblings, they should be shown questions about having 3 siblings.  Thus, I would like to create survey flow/logic based on answers from previous surveys. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! I just had a couple of people pilot my study and I can see that they.’ve taken it but I cannot see the results. In the results section, for each question, it is saying an “an unexpected error has occured” (see below).And when I go into the Data & Analysis tab, the two latest pilots show no results even though all of the questions are mandatory.Does anyone know how to fix this ?

Dear all,  I’m currently setting up a discrete choice experiment study, where the respondent will be given 8 different choice sets, over 8 different questions. I want to display a question if the respondent has selected the same option in at least 5 of the 8 questions.  With display logic, I currently displayed the follow-up question if the same option is selected in each of the 8 questions. I was wondering if it is possible to work with an If-Then logic, so that the follow-up question is displayed if a certain option is selected in at least 5 out of the 8 questions? This is my first time posting, so I am happy to provide more information or be referred to other resources. Thank you for your help! 

Hello,I'm working on building a survey that allows participants to resume from where they left off each day. I've implemented an authenticator based on the 'ExternalDataReference,' so each participant can access their survey using a unique code.However, when I test the survey, it restarts from the beginning every time I enter the code. I need the survey to resume from the point where the participant last stopped. Could you help me resolve this issue? If this is not the right way, please feel free to propose different solutions as well! I suspect this issue might be due to opening the link in incognito mode. However, since I'm entering the code, linked to only one participant it should still work correctly, but it restart every time. How can I solve that>? Thank you.Best regards,

I have 3 different URLs in my survey that users can click if they want to learn more information about something. How can I make it so the links open a new tab or window so the user can go back to the survey, and also be able to track whether people click any of the 3 links.

HiI am using Positly to recruit participants and the Qualtrics integration information they have doesn’t work and is in fact out of date, because they have changed their screens.They say I have to set up embedded data in qualtrics to capture the Positly panel user id, however when I go into Qualtrics to do this it has no understanding of Positly and so I am stuck. As I have said the stuff on their website is out of date and lacks details, so is useless.Any ideas or suggestions?

Hello :)We are trying to establish a Case Management system in Qualtrics to track our functional/technical issues from submittal to closure. In the end we’ve decided to try to leverage Qualtrics itself and embed a spreadsheet into a Data uploade template. This provides us with the benefits of having a single shared collaborative space to focus and track our issues. We’ll be able to prioritize based on case priority, case status etc..I thought I’d reach out to see how everyone else is doing this and maybe there is a better way?Scott

I have a weird thing happening. There are three questions in my survey that need to have a response in order to determine future branching logic (each at a different point/different blocks in the survey). Two of them are working properly and one is broken -- it is displaying the error state (red background and red-letter error message) immediately after the page loads rather than only showing that state if someone clicks Next without answering the question to meet the validation requirement. I’ve tried both force response and custom validation (where the validation requires any answer to be selected to continue) and the same thing is happening. The one that is broken is a Multiple Choice, single answer allowed question. The answer choices are a grid of character names/images (images inserted using the Rich Content Editor, not Insert Image from the answer choice menu). The choices are displayed in column format, but I also tried shifting to vertical format and the error was still happen

Hi everyone, I have not seen if someone has asked this already, and I am having trouble figuring it out on my own: I have a longitudinal research study where participants take 3 surveys over the course of a month. I have a main mailing list with all of my participants and their embedded data. I have the set up where as the participants complete each survey, the mailing list updates the participants’ embedded data column to show how far in the process they are (so, when a participant completes survey 1, they receive embedded data marking that they finished survey 1. then their survey 1 column will update to say “yes” using this embedded data, and the same will happen for their survey 2 column when they finish survey 2, and so on).My issue is, I want to drop (or opt out) participants from the study if they don’t complete the surveys within a given time frame. So for example, any participants who do not have their survey 2 done by X date are dropped from all contact lists.I tried to do th

At the end of the survey, there is a question that asks something like, Do you have a second submission? If yes, then they will do the survey for a second time (not overwriting the 1st submission). If no, then it will be the end of the survey. My user's question is how do you set up the survey to allow the respondent to fill out the survey the 2nd time without having to start over by clicking the link again?

Hello!We've been testing our surveys with visually impaired users. Our company have spanish-speaking and portuguese-speaking users.When testing a survey through using iPhone's accessibility software, we found out VoiceOver reads the radio button as "botón circular" which is a literal translation and far from ideal (we'd much rather use "casilla de selección"). Is there a way to change it through javascript or something similar?Bonus challenge: we also have surveys in portuguese that share a few Themes with the ones in spanish, so it would be great if we could do something that worked for both languages.Thanks in advance!

I want to add a dollar sign ($) before some text entry boxes, and a percent sign (%) after others. What html code can I add within the question to do this? I don’t know html code, so something I can copy and paste would be very helpful!

As I enter the survey builder, the browser screen goes blank and nothing displays.  It is the same in pre-existing surveys and also new ones.  What would be the problem?I’m using Chrome (updated) under Windows 10 Pro. Best,Yun-Oh

Hello all! I am currently creating a study where I want it to seem to the participant as if they have just received a real-time message from a fellow participant simultaneously taking the survey.  I have tried a couple options to achieve this (exploring pop-ups in Qualtrics, photoshopping graphics/media to add into the survey, and trying to utilize the rich text editor) but none seem to be quite convincing enough.  Ideally, I believe an ideal way to solve this would be to create a large pop-up where I could perhaps add in photoshopped media that mimics a chat interface.  However, any help or guidance in this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hello,I have two surveys. Survey #1, a consent form, is shared via an anonymous link on our website and includes personally identifiable data (name, email address, phone number). Upon completing Survey #1, participants are directed to Survey #2 through a redirect link, which includes the Survey #1 response ID as embedded data in Survey #2. Additionally, contact list triggers operate post-survey in Survey #1, capturing name, email address, phone number, and Survey #1 response ID. This response ID serves as the data linkage variable. Both surveys enforce a 4-hour response recording time, regardless of completion status.Currently, I manually send retake links for incomplete Survey #2 responses. However, due to the study's scale, I'm seeking an automated solution. I've explored Qualtrics resources and found a potential solution involving email triggers for "Progress < 100," utilizing a specific query string at the end of the anonymous link: "?Q_R=${rm://Field/ResponseID}&Q_R_DEL=1" 

I have response summary at end of survey and it have download pdf by default. But when donloaded pdf comes in multiple pages which cause questions breakdown between pages. How can i make sure downloaded report is a single page pdf.
