Constant Sum where the maximum TOTAL allowed is 1500

I have a list of 10 items with individual prices in a constant sum question and I want to set-up a custom validation so that if someone picks items that total more than 1500 an error message informs them they have exceed the maximum allowed and to choose items that total 1500 or less. I tried the 'custom validation' option and entered '<1501' but that doesn't work. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

How to remove the numbers under the stars in a slider question?

I created a slider question using the Stars slider type. Qualtrics is showing a number under the first and last star (it does not appear when building, it  only appears when taking the survey or in preview mode). I would like to remove the numbers but cannot figure out how to. I tried using the code which I found on a similar post, but it did not work for mejquery("ul.numbers").hide();

Matrix table with constant sum

Hello!I have a matrix table of the type “constant sum”, where each row has its own total. I am looking for JavaScript code that does the following:Any totals that equal 100 are shown in black font colour (if the total does not equal 100, I would like it to show in red font colour) If any total is greater than 100, disable the next button (or, alternatively, show an immediate custom error message next to the corresponding total box). I do not want an error message that shows after the respondent has clicked on the next button.I have managed to get this to work for a “constant sum” question, but not for a matrix table of type “constant sum”. I would be very grateful for any help! Recovering embedded data from seed value

Hello! I recently re-ran a conjoint experiment using code from 2021 which seems to be no longer compatible with Qualtrics (see post here). Unfortunately, the embedded data for the traits within my code did not save (although this has previously worked with the same survey code in the past). The embedded seed values did save (seed1-seed5). I believe I can still recover the randomized attributes provided to respondents given the seed values and javascript code. However, I am not sure how to do this. The code is below. Any insight on how to recover these values would be greatly appreciated.The code below is just a sample of for the 5th conjoint profile. This was run five times, with five different seeds, and correspondingly five different trait pairs (traits1a + traits1b …. traits5a + traits5b)Further, any insights on how to properly save this embedded data in the future would be great as well. Creating Calculation in Matrix Table Column

Hello! I am trying to do something that seems a bit complicated. Basically have a matrix table question and I'm trying to insert a column which automatically calculates and displays a number, based on the values inserted in other columns. Just as an example, column 5 would display the math operation (column 3/column 4).Could someone help me do the coding for this, especially when I need the table to be formatted according to carry forwarded items on the left hand side of the table? Script disappears once I click on it.

I'm attempting to add a round slider to one of the questions in my survey using the roundSlider jQuery plugin (https://roundsliderui.com/) but I'm encountering a problem with the script. Whenever I click or try to adjust the slider, it disappears. Javascript not working with survey in different languages

I have a survey translated from English to multiple languages. The survey uses some javascript. Now, the javascript does not seem to work when taking the survey in a language different from English. Any idea what’s going on here/how to correct this? Cheers

Forcing participants to listen to a sound file before answering the question

I am trying to make a questionnaire in which participants have to listen to a audio piece and then choose one of the two multiple choice questions. I want to have the audio file and the answer options on the same page. But my problem is, I want the participants to be forced to play the audio file before answering to avoid people answering without listening. For example that the answer options grey out before listening.  Is this something I can do? I can’t figure it out. Can you please help me?

Add Maximum or Minimum Requirement

Hello,I have a Text Entry Question and would like to add a Min & Max Requirement. However, I have four values for the requirement of which it should either be the lowest or highest that is taken as the reference value. So I would like to enter four Piped Text fields of which either the lowest or highest value should be taken as the requirement.  Is that possible? Thank you very much in advance.

Allow respondents to deselect their answer for side-by-side questions with single answers?

Hey all,I have a block in my survey that uses the side-by-side (SBS) format where respondents can only select a single answer within each of the seven columns (i.e., there are seven separate questions). I have asked respondents to leave the question blank if it is not applicable. However, if respondents accidentally select an option (that is, they select an option when it does not apply to them), then they are not able to deselect the option - within the data, it looks like they intentionally selected the option. I don't want to make the questions multiple-select because then respondents can select more than one answer in each of the columns. And as far as I know, there is no way to enable the "mutually exclusive" option when the questions are in the SBS layout. Is there a way around this? A Javascript code, perhaps? Any help/suggestions/etc. would be much appreciated!Edit: My supervisor does not want me to alter the scales in each question by adding an N/A option.

Automating creation of a side by side question by referencing values created in Javascript on a previous question

I am using Javascript to dynamically change the text of the first cells of the first column of a side by side question to values extracted from an array of objects. I have used code before to render tables based off of selections in side by side questions in the past that have been modified in this manner, but am attempting to trigger creation of a side by side question referencing values added in Javascript on the previous question that will include only the values selected with new selection options. I could use carry forward the values if I entered them manually in the first question, but there are potentially thousands of values and this would would be tedious. I’m not sure if what I’m seeking to do is possible using the Qualtrics api or custom code and appreciate any help.

Add Multiple Min/Max Requirements to Text Entry

Hello, I have a text entry question and would like to add a warning that if the entered number in this field is not between a certain range.Specifically, I have the following:        var initial_judgement = parseInt("${q://QID21/ChoiceTextEntryValue}");        var algorithm_advice = parseInt("${lm://Field/14}");        var second_judgement = parseInt("${q://QID24/ChoiceTextEntryValue}"); The requirements should look like this:second_judgement < initial_judgement && second_judgement > algorithm_adviceOR second_judgement > initial_judgement && second_judgement < algorithm_advice If these requirements are not met, then I would like to display a warning on the same page as second_judgement is entered. Such that one does not get redirected to the next page but sees the warning and can either change the second_judgement or click next again and then gets redirected. Is this possible?

Customized slider tooltip with underlying equation (constant sum)

Hello!I have created a constant sum question with 8 sliders. When moving the slider handles, the outcome is updated live and based on a calculation in the next text question. Now I added a tooltip box to the sliders, which I want to fill with the following: The previous question QID37 is a text entry question (number), I want to use the number inserted there to be multiplied with the slider value and the result to be divided by 100 (basic rule of three). The resulting value should be shown in the slider tooltip box, changing dynamically depending on the handle position (maybe even a “km” added behind the number). I tried using a mutation observer, but when I included it in the js code, my outcome was not updated dynamically anymore (and the tooltip box stayed blank).I am really grateful for any help with my code! Conditional Formatting of Piped Text?

I am trying to build a survey in which participants will play the popular game Wordle.To summarize the rules, players have six attempts to guess a five-letter word. After each guess, the letters that are in the right place will turn green while letters that are in the word but belong somewhere else will turn yellow. So for example, if the correct answer is STUDY, a guess of GUIDE will have a yellow U and a green D.I currently have my survey set up as follows: Question 1 is the participants’ first guess on Word 1. Javascript not working with loop and merge

Hello,I’m using a multiple choice question to display a series of randomly ordered pictures. Change embedded data based on which choice is selected

Ive made an embedded data in the survey flow, now i want to change its value based on which choice was selected in one of the questions. The choices are  (Yes, Maybe, No). i want to change the embedded data value to “text1” if they choose Yes or Maybe and change it to “text2” if they choose No.This is what i tried so far. Randomization of question with different probabilities like 10% , 20% and 40%

I have a requirement to show a set of embedded data in question with different probabilities like 10% , 20% and 40%  , selected at random .Is it possible to implement this using Qualtrics base features?One more thing , since the respondent will be asked to choose from two options where embedded data will be piped is there a way to exclude "Dominant option” so as it forces to rerandomize the option again?. For example: If option A will have all the dominant criteria's that if shown respondent will choose this only?

Continuous Enjoyment Measure

Hello, I'm a complete JavaScript newbie, but I've been relying on this forum for help for years! I've think I've finally stumbled across a question you have not answered. I want to create a continuous measure of enjoyment using a slider. Survey takers will watch a video and continuously move a slider to tell me how much they are enjoying the video in the moment. How to dynamically display data as answer choices in Qualtrics?

All, I need help. I have use case where I have to dynamically display the names of sites choices so that user can select a particular site. The site list is dynamic and change based on the project. The site list is maintained in Salesforce. For example, for Project 1 the listed sites may be Site A, Site B, and Site C and for Project 2 the list Sites may be Site X, Site Y, Site M, and Site Z. I want to display dynamically the Site choices to user based on the Project. Any help is appreciated!!
