I have a form field question within a survey that has two text entry values for first help date and last help date (both include Date validation yyyy/mm/dd). With the help of other discussion threads, I implemented the following JavaScript code on the survey question and added an embedded data field in the survey workflow called, Days. When testing through survey preview, the "Days" field does not populate as expected.

I have a multiple choice question and for two answer options I want to add text entry boxes.My problem is that per default the boxes are shown beneath the answer, but I want them right next to the answer. I have this question setup of Form Field question type. I want to show “Character Remaining” functionality on Event Name and Event Description. The Event Date has validation on it already so the user enters data in the Date format only. For Event Name and Event Description, I want to show the Characters Remaining  when user starts typing in the textboxes. Dear all, I have a problem with branching using embedded data. Even if in the example I set two embedded variables with the same value when I try to use this in a branch it does not trigger the branch (see screenshot). Can you see what I am doing wrong? The flow I am working on is much more complex than the example I provide. However, since even this simple example is not working I am feeling like I am missing something fundamental. Thank you for your help. Enrique  

Hi All, I have two date selection questions in my survey where I would like one of them to only have respondents be able to select Saturdays and the other to only be able to select every other Sunday. Is there a code for this? And how would I input this code? Also, can I add quotas so only a certain number of respondents can select each day? I appreciate your help as I am relatively new to Qualtrics. Thank you in advance!

I have two mutiple choice questions (Yes/No) that shows in a same page. Based in if they are rated yes or not I created a embbeded variable that get a specific value. Then I want to use this embedded data to pipe in a next question. I can do this with a hidden question, but I want to create the embedded data in the same page that are the questions and then use this embedded data in the following page. Unfortunatenly, this is not working. I want to include a thank-you coupon at the end of my survey. This would be at the end of the survey, and each coupon will be linked to a particular participant. I have a contact list ready in Qualtrics to make sure that I can authenticate the participant using their email address. How can I display a particular code to a participant once they authenticate their email? 

Right now, I have a survey with a multiple choice question with text entry for each question (this is so the participants can elaborate). If the participant selects ‘No,’ writes text, and then selects ‘Yes,’ reenters text, their previous text from the ‘No’ question is still present. Is there a way to ensure that text is only allowed from the one question they select and it would delete the text if they selected another choice?   

Hey, im trying to make a survey but having problems. I will describe my problem as good as possible. What I want is that when participants click on next page button they immediatly see a sentence without the last word. I want to have a button they can click so that the sentence completes itself, I would like to have it in the same place but it is okay if this doesnt work. Then I want also that the multiple choice options true and false come in the screen.  So: sentence without last word → click → last word & multiple choice answers.  Im trying my best but can’t get it to work, does anyone have any ideas to do this?

I have built a survey with over 2000 blocks which are each set with survey flow logic to be displayed relative to the RecipientEmail of the respondent the survey is sent to. Each block has a unique url for an excel file holding phone numbers that have been pasted into the first questions added to each block, a list of numbers a respondent can check options for in a side by side question, and carry forward question which is populated if a respondent would like to keep a number and provides inputs for new owners of numbers to be entered into. I was looking into piping values in from excel sheets for the questions but can’t find a reliable way to loop and add. Are building an external api or using selenium. Here are example shots of the survey -

We want to use the constant sum question with ‘bars’ or ‘sliders’ as answer type, but with bars draggable in vertical rather than horizontal direction. Is there a way to achieve this using Javascript? 

I want to run an experiment where the participants have to click on the right boxes of a matrix question in the right order. The first approach that came into my mind was to track the timestampts of each click and if (suppose that the right boxes were clicked) time_1

Hello,I’m trying to sticky the text of a question stem so that it follows you while you scroll. I’m pretty new to HTML and Javascript, so I’m not entirely sure how to do it. I’ve tried using the solution presented in this thread, but it’s giving me the error message "Invalid JavaScript! You cannot save until you fix all errors: Unexpected token ILLEGAL". I’m not sure what’s causing it, but I tried putting the '); on the same line as ('afterbegin', '. That got rid of the error, but then the code then didn’t seem to be doing anything. I also tried using custom CSS to accomplish it. Hi everyone,I would like to ask you a Question about constant sums.I would like to distribute 40 points (among 4 options) in a Constant Sum.The respondents should drag the slider to the desired position.Since educationally disadvantaged groups should also be surveyed, the slider should only be movable in steps of 10. If the slider is closer to 0 than to 10, it should jump to 0. If it is closer to 10 than to 0 or to 20, it should jump to 10, etc. If it is placed exactly in the middle (5, 15, ...) it should be rounded up and jump to the higher 10 step. So the options would be 0, 10, 20, 30, 40. Optionally it would be perfect if the steps could be 0, 10, 20 and 40.I think there is a similar question already, but it is not available (anymore) - I have already informed the support of the site about it but so far the problem has not been solved.I am grateful for any tip! Ok so I am new to development on Qualtrics although I have been using it for some time. Not new to JS/HTML/CSS but the below code is pretty wonky I know - trying to get this right for a reach goal of a supervisor! My question is this: Why is my height not applying? I was able to test that I am actually adjusting the CSS related to the Matrix table I am attempting to work with by changing the background-color which I was able to do. In fact I can adjust other CSS properties, but not the height. Why is this? In the survey I’m currently working on, we have our users upload a receipt. I’d like to have that receipt in an iframe later on in the survey so they can reference it for other questions. However, when I try to set up the iframe using embedded data (<iframe src="${e://Field/receipt}"></iframe>), it loads a blank frame and opens the file twice in new tabs.Is it possible to load it in the survey itself, rather than a tab? I feel like I must be missing something obvious.
