I have an experiment where we would like to vary the time a blank inter-stimulus 'slide' is shown for. My stimuli will be words entered in Loop&Merge fields. I was wondering if it is possible to use code (html? java?) on my blank inter-stimulus 'slides' (question pages) to get the timing on those pages to be controlled by another field in the Loop&Merge. Ideally we want timing to vary between 250ms and 1,250ms, so in a field in the Loop&Merge I would psuedo-randomly assign timings of 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1250 to different stimuli.

Hi - I have two numeric questions, but I would like to force the second question to have a higher number than the first one. For example:Q1. Age of the youngest person in the group? Q2. Age of the oldest person in the group? obviously, if someone enters '15' in the first box, they shouldn't be allowed to enter anything under 15 in the second.Is there any way of doing this?

Hi there! I've been building an experiment on Qualtrics. Basically I am looking for participants to repeat a phrase a number of times and I'd like to count the number of times they retype that one phrase. I had originally done this through a text box, but that would leave me to count it manually after the experiment, which isn't ideal. So I have three possible solutions that make sense in my head, but I'm not sure if Qualtrics would allow me to use any of them. Counting the number of times a phrase is repeated. I don't like this option because I want participants to be able to make a few mistakes in their typing and have it still counted. Having the participants press "enter/return" and move to a new line in the text box with each repetition, and then counting the total number of lines used. This feels the simplest to me in terms of what I've already built, but I'm concerned may only be solved through JS, which I don't have experience with.

Hi everyone,I created a form field that is using javascript from the community link below. It is working great when I tested it on the original question. I am re-using this question multiple times in the survey and so I just duplicated the question. When I checked the response data I noticed that the additional questions are displaying what was recorded in the 1st question. I assume there is something I need to change for each question so that the response data, piped text, and future embedded data knows what was in the field of each question and doesn't reference the 1st response choices. I'm still a pretty new person to javascript, so any guidance would be appreciated. I'm using Javascript to add a drop down list to a form field question. It's working fine for the most part -- it records my selected choice, and I can see my selected choice still if I use the Back button. However once my response is submitted, if I retake it the selected choice isn't there anymore. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Below is the JS that I have on that question. Am I missing something? I'm also trying to make it read only on retake and I don't know if that's messing with it.

We switched to the new GitHub qualtrics-digital-ios-sdk and integrated it with SPM as described, but it don't work as described by the Readme.md. The reason we found: the sdk still do not support arm64 (= M1 processor architecture). After more than one year M1 architecture is available - completely unexpected!As a workaround you might switch whole Xcode to rosetta compatibility mode, but in our case it slows down our build times by 60sec. So it is no option for us. Please also note that every new MacBook is an M1 now, so every developer face that issue sooner or later.Please fix this!BTW: Currently it is not possible to add issues at GitHub. Please fix this too.

We're asking for numeric responses and this only shows about 4 digits at a time. Makes it difficult to correct errors when the last few digits were entered incorrectly.I've seen some posts showing a code to enter in the Custom CSS in "Look and feel", but they aren't working for me

I use a web intercept to trigger a customer feedback survey in six languages. The customer wants the survey to be displayed in the webshop language by default. As far as I know, Qualtrics sets the default language using the browsing language which is not what our customer wants. Can I tell the web intercept to pull the language information from the webshop (which uses ISO codes somewhat different from those required by Qualtrics) instead of the browsing language (which may or may not be the same)? In another survey on the same webshop, I simply created one link for each of the six languages which was then implemented behind a CTA for every language version of the webshop, but this seems impossible when using an intercept. Would it also be possible to use JS to pass on the language in this instance, given that I do not have the option to simply create six different links in this case? Many thanks for your help!

Hi all,I believe I'm in need of some custom code here, although please point me to the source if a standard way of doing this exists already.I have a rank-order question, with 4 statements and I want to use the radio-button option for the subjects to rank them (see pic attached). The choice options are 1/2/3/4. I want to add the phrase "most important" on top of 1 and the phrase "least important" on top of 4. I wasn't able to create/locate custom code for this purpose, and I was hoping if anyone here can help me out with this.Thanks in advance!

I have a matrix question with several groups of statements. I would like to collapse each statement group, so you can expand just one group at a time. Is this possible? I don't have a lot of experience using JavaScript.

I'd like to pipe answers from previously answered matrix likert questions e.g. from Question A to Question B. I don't think I can do this with Default Choices, so assume I need to use JavaScript to "tick" the options that were selected at the previous question. What's the best way to do this? I have about 5 questions each with about 8 statements x 100+ scale points.

For my survey, I used Javascript to insert a 'Withdraw from Study' button into the Footer of my survey. Right now, when that button is clicked, it automatically redirects to one seperate Qualtrics survey link. I am trying to fetch selected answer choices recode value of a checkbox question on the same page for a validation on onReady. I tried fetching this in an array and if that answer is unselected then it should also be removed from the array. I tried assigning span class to each answer list, not able to fetch that too. Can anyone please help me with this.

Hi there, we use react-native-qualtrics to build our enterprise app, and we noticed that the package does not ship with support for iOS Simulator ARM builds, which basically means that if we want to run our app on Mas with M1+ chipsets we cannot build for the simulator, we are limited to only building on real devices, which not all our employees or contracts have access to. This is a major problem and basically means that we will always have to run our app under Rosetta which is significantly slower for development and for our build server. Please help!!

I'm new here, from the University of Minnesota. I use Qualtrics in my role, but am not a developer. Recently one of our survey's has stopped working (at a certain point in the survey) and we are looking for a developer that would contract to go through all of the original custom code and survey to help us do any maintenance or if need be build off the existing survey for it to work under any platform updates since the survey was created (back in 2015 I'm told).It's an open source tool we use in the community and internationally at this point, also currently being used for a research study so not great timing for it to have issues.Can anyone help or point us in the right direction with recommendations of developers?

Hi all, I'm currently trying to import ~10k survey responses (from the same survey) into Google Sheets (using =importdata). I have two issues I'm trying to work through (#1 being the priority issue): 1. Define an embedded data field as a parameter in the URL. For example, if I have an embedded data field called 'Group' that has values A-Z, I would like to add '&Group=D' to only pull responses where Group = D. Is this possible? 2. Remove some embedded data fields from the initial API pull. I know I can use Google Scripts to do this securely (I'll end up using scripts to manipulate the data anyway), but was wondering if I could limit which embedded data fields before initially pulling in the survey responses. I'm only using ~20% of the embedded data fields, so it would help with how many rows I could import. I'm only able to bring in ~1500 responses before the =importdata function in google sheets tells me the dataset is too large. I need to eventually filter by this Group field anywa

How do I specify the size of text box in the 'Allow text entry' section using CSS?

We like the way each statement in a Likert Matrix collapses the accordion, after a scale value is selected (on a mobile device). However, the last statement never collapses after a selection is made. Our client really wants the behavior to be consistent, with the LAST statement also collapsing on selection. How can we force the last statement's scale to collapse upon clicking a radio? For example, in the graphic below, a pain rating is given per body segment. As each body segment is rated, it automatically collapses and expands the next body segment's rating scale. It would be great if when selecting the last body segment (e.g. Legs) it would also collapse that rating and display the text of the selection (like on all the other body segments). Is there a way to force that with CSS or jquery?

HelloI believe what I need may require some coding/programming. The question type is a "Form Field" and one that has three labels (company name, customer name, email address), then there is the field to enter the data. I need to increase the spacing between these labels so they are completely horizontal and not layered. I attached a screen short, This way it is easier to read and not so cramped together, thanks.
