Hi all, I am building a survey that requires two people working on the same form. Currently I am using the Retake Survey method mentioned here https://qualtrics.com/community/discussion/1812/2-part-survey-that-needs-to-be-completed-by-different-people, and it's working well. There's only one issue, can I stop the second survey taker from making any changes to the first survey taker's responses? And preferably, the second survey taker is still able to see the response. If I simply hide the first person's block from the second person, the responses in first block will be deleted after using the retake survey link. For example, a teacher will grade a student's performance on a form, then a retake survey link will be sent to the student asking if he/she agrees. Obviously, the student can leave comments but shouldn't be able to change the teacher's respon

I have 4 images randomly presented for 15 seconds in the previous question with all radio buttons removed. In the next question, the 4 images are carried over in the same random order, but two additional answer options are added below. How do I remove radio buttons from just the 4 images, and randomize the two additional answer options? I found https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/comment/5371#Comment_5371with the solution of using: :eq(6) instead of jQuery('input[type=radio]:nth-child(7)').hide(); but was unsuccessful with that -- I have no idea how to modify that jQuery code correctly. Hello Qualtrics community and team,I have a couple of questions regarding the Qualtrics Survey Response file through export API:I exported the survey response files, but it only pulled one month of data. Does the response export file only capture one month worth of data? If yes, is there a way to pull the historical data? If a person takes the same survey again on different time (whether to complete the survey or to begin new survey), will the ResponseID remain the same for that person?Thank you

Hello,I'm pretty novice at coding and was wondering if it's possible to set up the following:Survey question is a multiple answer multiple choice question that has a list of different office names.An email trigger is set up to email the respondent with the office names and information about the offices such as location, phone number, etc.Each office location and information should be bullet pointed in the email.I think I know the general theory in terms of needing to set embedded data, but I don't really know how to begin to execute this code and where to put the code. Do I put the script in the question itself? If so, I believe I should be using the functions: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnPageSubmit and  Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData but where do I go from here?Thank you for your consideration.

Hi All,I have the following survey flow, were I record a person's willingness to pay from a slider (WTP_Subject) and generate a random number in the same range (WTP_Random).I'd like to show different branches depending on some logic based on the values as pictured below, but can't seem to get it to work. The embedded data fields are saving, but for some reason the logic isn't working.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I am trying to set-up a timer that will be initiated upon starting a certain block within a survey. The timer should appear on the top of the screen regardless of scrolling and continue to count down as the participant clicks through different pages within the block. Upon the timer reaching 0, I want the survey to progress to a final question (a pseudo-end screen, it can be in the same block or in its own block if that helps) and upon this question loading the timer would no longer be visible.I have very little programming experience so I am mostly just grabbing code I can find online and trying to adapt it. The code I have found is able to make a timer appear when the block starts and remain on screen despite scrolling but upon reaching 0 it just displays text and doesn't advance anything. It also persists at the top of the screen when at my "pseudo-end screen" as well as when the actual survey termination end screen appears.The following code is added onto

HI Is there any api that support adding email type to the survey and fetch email type question from the survey. this api is required for qualtrics integration.

Regardless of how many times we tell people to leave a field blank if they have nothing to add they continue to write in "No" which is also found in other comments along with other words. Is there a way to add a category for when someone only says the word no instead of the category picking up other sentences that have the word "no" along with other words?

I have inserted the following code into two survey questions to allow the respondent to add more "Other" rows to a matrix table, using a "Add Other" button. It works beautifully when I preview the individual question in survey builder, but does nothing when I preview the survey as a whole or use the anonymous link for distribution. We create a registration page where the business owner goes and selects the questions they want to ask their clients, which we have pre-populated. Once they have selected their questions, custom links are generated for the number of clients (links) they have requested. They then send out these links and each customer sees the questions the business owner selected. I think I accidentally erased some custom code in our survey because the links aren't being generated anymore. How do I get the links to generate?

I would like to make a homework assignment (and eventually exams) using features qualtrics has such as logical trees and blocks. The thing is that the text of the questions needs to be generated using Overleaf or SciWord or some other mathematical writing platform. Is there a way to integrate into qualtrics files of such nature in a way that will be easy to update when the question texts are changed?

Hello, I am creating a survey in Qualtrics but have 1-2 questions that I need to use javascript for in order to customize. Specifically, I am trying to add a question in which the respondent will start typing a response and the survey will auto-complete the response (or pull from a very large drop-down menu). I am hoping for respondents to be able to include multiple answers. It seems like I need to use the Select2 feature but I can't figure out from the site how to do this. Where is the "header" that I need to put code into in order to use the select2 (probably using the wrong words here- I'm a newbie!)? Thank you!

I'm trying to do an object location test survey so it is important pictures of objects and the answer boxes have options in the same order.For this participants must look at a group of objects and then drag and drop them, on the next page, in the same order they remember seeing them in.The problem is that I made the drag and drop so it was in 3 rows and so made sure the answer boxes were also 3 rows. However, when previewing the question it shows only 2 rows. This wouldn't work for an object location test as the order wouldn't be the same. (I've attached pictures for reference). So, just wanted to know if there were any custom codes to allow the actual survey question to end up looking the same as the one I made on Qualtrics (so 3 rows). Thanks.

I have a set of matrix questions (Max-Diff) and when viewed they are aligned on the left side of the page (see image). I am hoping to align these in the center. Is there css or java code to achieve this?

I have loop and merge block with one Text Entry question. The question should display as field 1: text box, as shown in the picture below. I used javascript to place the field 1 text (in this case, swim : ) just before the text box. I also added some javascript so that once someone types their answer, they can press ENTER to continue (the next button has been removed). I would like the cursor to automatically appear in the text box such that individuals can start typing without having to use the mouse to navigate to the text box. I found a solution that almost works. It works on every loop in "Preview" mode but only on the first time through the loop in the actual published survey

Hi, I am creating an experiment in which participants must watch films and hit the space bar at certain times. I have managed to disable controls of the video and register the space bar presses. However, as I am interested in the timing of the button presses I want to prevent the video from having to stop to buffer. Is it possible to add custom code to force the video to be loaded completely before play?I am hosting the videos on server of my own, as I assume that will give me the most flexibility.Thanks for any advice!

We have a number of lifecycle surveys and we need to regularly update the Text Models based on new responses. Is there a way I can do this via the API or some other way that is automated?
