I'm hoping to make a custom slider with images as the different choices, but with an option in between each of the images (see attached draft). I've been looking at a few different help threads to try to make this work, but it seems like most of them are using gauges rather than slides, which makes the images shift as the person moves the slider. I would like the images to remain stagnant if possible. Does anyone know how to (1) make the slider vertical with JS and (2) make the choices images? I've tried using this help thread for a vertical slider (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/15935837/how-to-display-a-range-input-slider-vertically/27108716#27108716) but it doesn't seem to be specific to Qualtrics.

We want to make the question scale display horizontally on mobile so it can be the same as PC mode. We tried to use NPS question type and hide the unnecessary points, but when we embedded the question in our email survey invitation, it still shows 10 points scales. Any ways we can make email inline questions shows same scale point (7pt scale) and mobile device can display the scale set horizontally at the same time?Thank you in advance for suggestions!

We would like the respondents to be redirected to the public report at the end of a survey. This process is working as expected in any browser, including in incognito mode. However, when I put the survey in an iframe in a different website, the survey shows up, but the redirecting step to the public report fails. After some poking around, the problem seems to be coming from the third-party cookie blockers in the browsers. Ideally we wouldn't want the users to have to open the report in a different tab, or give them instructions about allowing 3rd party cookies. Is there a work around? Am I missing something obvious? I've tried Chrome, Safari and Brave -- all them have the same behavior.Many thanks in advance for your help!

So I have a question that ask about current apps installed (rows) across 3 devices (columns). My last option is an "Other Specify". How can I make it so I can collect a unique other from each column or none, if left blank. For instance they might have an app that isn't listed installed on their phone but not their tablet, and have a completely different app installed on their smart watch. So I would like to collect the open-end for the phone, allow the tablet to remain empty, and collect the open-end for the smart watch. Is this possible?

Hi Everyone,Background:I am trying to programm a semantic word association questionnaire, where people get a limited time to respond (e.g. 8 sec) per question where they have to type a word for each question.I want to exert enough pressure that the entire task is limited and that they do nor result to internet search strategies or of the sort while they are filling in the questionnaire. However, I do not want to exert so much pressure that they have difficulties finishing the whole questionnaire.The problem:I would like to include a practice block where I time the average response duration (practice block duration/ question).I would like to take the average response time variable and implement it as a display timer for all subsequent questions during the test block.Solutions?I am new to JAVA so help would be much appreciated!Thank you in advance :)

I am trying to get rid of the name, watch later and share buttons on the top of the YouTube videos I am presenting. I have included the showinfo=0 bit in my code but it doesn't seem to work. I also want to get rid of the YouTube logo and have included modestbranding=1 but this also doesn't work. This is my code:I am wondering if there is maybe something in YouTube's settings that doesn't allow this?

When I send out distributions that have an inline question attached, the last answer choice is being cut off when opening the email within outlook. Is there a way to ensure that the entire set of answer choices display? For the record, it's a simple NPS question, pre-written module. I also do not have much experience with coding!Attached is a screenshot of the embedded question as it appears in my outlook inbox. You will see that it says 0-9, the actual scale is 0-10!

Hi! I am creating a matrix with a Likert scale that has anchors for some but not all of the answer choices. I would like to make the width of all answer choice columns equal rather than adjusting to the width of the text. See below for an image of how the answer choices are appearing currently.I've searched the forums, and none of the solutions provided have worked for me. Does anyone have thoughts? Thanks!

Hi, I'm currently block 1,500 participants who participated the previous similar study, using their participant's ID.When I tried to use custom validation e.g., "If [PID] is Not EQUAL to [their 1,500 PID]" then passHowever, to do that I need to copy and paste 1500 times e.g., "If [PID] is Not EQUAL to [1st PID number]" AND "If [PID] is Not EQUAL to [2nd PID number]" AND ... AND "If [PID] is Not EQUAL to [1500th PID number]" . Is there any possible way to do it easily?

Hi,I am trying to include some code into my survey whereby I need to hide the "Next" button until a participant selects a 'Yes' or 'No' response. I need to ensure eg Request type New Request (the answer text is visible) for people who maybe having issue with eyesight. It's kinda blurry. I'm trying out the Division API's.I have a division for which I can make a GET call.It then lists the permissions of that division.However, there are a LOT of permissions that I cannot find in that list.For example:I CAN find "allowProxyLogins"I CANNOT find anything related to Bots.On the UI with Inspect, I can find that the Bots permission is called "botDetectionRecaptchaV3".When I try to add that in a PUT Request, the return is "Invalid Permission".Are not all of the existing permissions available to the API?

Hello,I'm using loop and merge to randomly display images and participants have to make a response by clicking buttons. After each response I would like there to be a 500ms delay between presenting the next stimuli. I'm guessing this would be a JS script?Any help would be greatly appreciated!Polly

Hi there,My knowledge about java script is very basic; but I found this very cool java script online where participants can move two circles to indicate how close they feel to another person. I have put the java script into the question and in the preview it works fine. However, if I activate the survey and then click on the link, it does not work anymore. When i try to put this question with the circles at the beginning of the survey it works well for some reason.Can someone help?Thanks a lot!

Hi, I'm trying to create ranking questions where there are lowest and highest values that do not move, e.g. 1. Sentence A (cannot move) 2. Sentence B (can be moved) 3. Sentence C (can be moved) 4. Sentence D (can be moved) 5. Sentence E (cannot move) I need these top and bottom values to act as anchors for the inbetween sentences but I don't know how to make this. Does anybody know? I need to increase the gap between choices in a multiple choice question. The default version in Qualtrics show choices very close to one another and I need to increase the gap (attached screenshot). Thanks. !

I'm trying to increase the difference between the 'left' and 'right' response buttons for my participants to click on: ! I would like the left and the right to be the uttermost respective corner (left and right) and to be slightly more square shaped. At the very least to be less long and have a larger horizontal gap between them. Is there a way to create a timing question and modify the options while importing a questionnaire in txt format? Hello!I'm new to Qualtrics, and working on a survey that collects respondent information and then displays data based on this content back to the respondent. The survey company that I'm using will already have respondents' zip codes, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to link the zip code to my data spreadsheet so that later in the survey I can tell them the information that's linked to their zip code using piped text (I.e. the amount of money their zip code spends on pre school). I've tried using both a contact list and embedded data, but I've had trouble getting the data to display or figuring out where to store the spreadsheet that links respondents' zip codes to the spending data. Hi - I am trying to change the label on the progress bar from "Survey Completion" to "Survey Response Progress". I have verbose text selected and have placed the following into both the header and footer fields to try to get it to workjQuery("table.ProgressBarContainer tbody tr td:eq(0) label").text("Survey Response Progress");The issue is that "Survey Response Progress" will show up on the first page but the remaining pages of the survey revert back to "Survey Completion". How do I change the script so "Survey Response Progress" shows on the progress bar on all pages of the survey?
