I am asking respondents to input a price in a text entry (form) type question, but I want a separate entry box for dollars and for cents, with the two boxes appearing side-by-side, with a dollar sign in front of the dollars box and a decimal point in between the two boxes, and I need to be able to do custom validation separately for the allowable values in the dollars box entry and the allowable values in the cents box. Then I need to assign the combined price to an embedded data field. Any advice on how do to this would be much appreciated.

Is it possible to only display the 3 text boxes to the right if 'Used service?' has been ticked for that particular row? !

I've created a mailing list and uploaded contacts to it using the API. However, I haven't been able to figure out how to share it with a specific Group using the API. This is possible through the UI either by using "Create Shared List" or by dragging an existing list into the Group folder. Is there also a way to do it with the API?

Hello all. I am trying to accomplish 2 fairly straightforward tasks that I can do individually, but I am having problems combining the logic. Goal: To hide the Next button on a specific page AND have the page auto-advance when an answer is clicked (radio button). Background: The page contains 3 questions. 1 question will always show (radio button question), but only 1 of the remaining 2 questions (descriptive text) will show depending on display logic. I also use display logic to hide an answer choice, but that shouldn't cause any issues. This is the code I am using on my radio button question (which is the first question on the page). I have a text entry (form) question as I want my respondents to enter a percentage for four different things (4 form fields). I want to add a % sign after every box. I use the below code to add the % sign. I have a Text Entry > Form question on a survey, with about 10 component questions in it (e.g. Name, Project Title, Phone, Email, etc.). They all require text response. I want to convert two of those component questions to drop down lists, because the responses should be limited to pre-determined values. Is it possible to use JS on the form question to target those two components and convert their response types to drop downs? Or is there a non-coding possibility that would make this possible while still maintaining the form question type? Or should I just remove the form question and make all the components their own questions (assigning MC > Drop down to the two in question)? Thank you!

I want to create an embedded data field for a sales region without manually adding each in a branch, but can't work it out. I uploaded the list of counties with the region as a reusble choices, but can't get the resions to show. I would rather not have to create this manually without branch logic and manual selection.

Hi all, I am new to the Qualtrics. I could not find the solution for my question. So here is my scenario.. I have a survey with 10 responses and there is an embedded field "Score" which holds a value for all these responses. Is there a way I could add the "Score" field for all the responses? Also if I have new survey response I would like to add the "Score" field to the cumulative total from the previous 10 responses. Please help me out with this. Thanks!

I have a bank of selections to drag into boxes, but I want the bank options to remain full - if I select Bank A to go into Box A, I also want to have Bank A available for Box B/C/D/etc. Is there a way to eliminate the default option of the bank disappears once it has been dragged into a box?

Hi there, I spent a good deal of time looking for this answer, but I apologize if it's already been answered elsewhere. I'm looking to create a SFDC case based on a set of criteria from a survey response. I'm quite sure this can be done, but can't quite get my head around it. Let's say that the criteria is that the person gave an NPS score of 0. How do I then go about this? I should mention that I'm pretty new to this integration and SFDC both. I've created an action with a Survey Response event, with the conditions I need, then I get a bit stuck on the Tasks. Do I just do response mapping to insert a new record into the case object? Or should I be doing something else? Thanks so much for any help.

Hello. The survey I am creating asks participants to rate how similar or different they find 2 designs to be on a sliding scale from 0 (completely different) to 100 (identical). The respondent is asked to rate 20 or so pairs, and I am trying to figure out how to pipe/carry forward the slider question and answer on which they ranked the pair the highest (or most similar) in order to ask them another question about how similar they found that pair to be. Is there a way to embed logic to execute this--I understand this would require Qualtrics to internally analyze the responses to all pairs then identify which was scored the highest? Thanks.

Hi, I am using a survey to schedule appointments and want to have an email trigger that sends out a reminder 48hrs before the appointment. Support told me the only way to do that is to set up a quota for each and every day we would have appointments (roughly 300 days a year) then the email trigger would send when there were appointments on those dates. Does that sound right? Not really practical to set up 300 quotas. They said it might be possible to write Java Code to do this but I barely know enough to cut and paste Java into my questions (I got a custom calendar to work, yay.) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a large list of contacts (~175,000) to upload to a mailing list. Even when breaking it into small chunks (only 1000 contacts each), I'm running into API errors. It successfully uploads about 4 chunks of 1000, and then I get the following unhelpful error: {"meta":{"error":{}}} I've tried adding 30 seconds of wait time in between API calls, which slightly helps but doesn't entirely resolve the problem. The documentation states that the API can handle 50 concurrent requests, so I'm not sure why it's failing after about 3 or 4.

Background: I have a survey that is heavily modified by JavaScript (very much Frankenstein-ed together). I have a loop and merge set up (like 50 loops) that fills in data from previous years and skips the blank loops. So if in the previous year the person answered 4 loops, 4 loops are prefilled with their data, they update the info, and the remaining 46 loops are skipped with display logic. The Task: I would like to find a way to hijack the TOC functionality so that in addition to/instead of displaying blocks, it also displays loops that I determine should be seen 1_qid62, 2_qid62, etc. I have managed to add the framework in the header for a beginning custom ordered list but it just inherits the properties of the block, which is fine mostly but I don't know how to redirect the custom list item to a specified loop. When i inspect the link on the toc the anchor is '<'a id="FL_L3" href="#"'>'. Do I need to add a custom anchor to the Toc as well or am I in way over my head. The

In a side-by-side matrix, I am hiding some columns (depending on the inputs from previous responses) - is there a way to automatically select some values for all the hidden columns ?

Hi, I am setting up a callback to receive "survey completed response" event to our own server. Ref: https://api.qualtrics.com/v3/reference/create-subscription#create-subscription I am using "surveyengine.completedResponse.{SurveyID}" topic. I would receive "RecipientID" from the callback. I am trying to use that RecipientID to get the Recipient's Email Address from our mailing list using another API call. Problem for me is, we have multiple mailing lists and it looks like I need to specify mailing list ID in API call, that means, I have to make multiple API calls for each mailing list till I found the match RecipientID in one of those lists. When you close a survey through the UI, you are given an option to allow those who are currently taking it to finish. I know that I can close a survey through the API by updating isActive to False, but I don't want to kick anybody out of the survey if they're in the process of completing it. Is it possible to allow them to finish?
