Does anyone use API to insert audio url into question? I’m creating survey use API,  my question has url, does anyone know know how to insert url using API?

How to add bulk participants into a particular user group ?

I want to share a project with around 500 participants, in order to select the participants individually to colloborate the project, I want to create a User group. In user group as well I have to add participants manually and individually rather then adding them at a time. Is there a way for user group as well, similarly as we do for user type by adding a metdata - "user type" while importing participants and participants will get allined to respective user type automatically.

Capture Email Sent Date in Survey API

I'm using an API call to extract data from a survey and I would like to know if is possible to extract the date when the email was sent to the user, but I only have Recorded Date, Start Date and End date instead. Is there a way to capture this information using the API call?

API call to determine people added to Employee Directory on date

I’m trying to get a list of all the employees that were added to the Employee Directory on a specific date, and if possible who added them. I tried using the /logs?activityType=users API call, but that’s giving me all changes, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to limit it to adds.(and, technically, I’m pretty sure that is giving me the Admin > Users list, not the Employee Directory, although in theory, those 2 should be the same)

How can we use SOAP API which takes request as an XML with third-party endpoints and trigger the SOAP call.

Hi All,We recently faced a challenge while working on a project that required us to call a SOAP API with third-party endpoints in the Qualtrics platform. However, we encountered some limitations with the SOAP API functions in Qualtrics. Is there any way we can use endpoint URL and trigger the SOAP call.Below are the steps to SOAP call:  Create SOAP project and import wsdl file. Generate session token using ACM credentials. (Credentials shared on separate email) Use that token in sample SOAP call and update attributes and trigger a call. Any help is appreciated here.

Trouble with creating API for mailinglist look up.

I am a new experience manager for my company taking over a legacy program from people who are no longer at the company and can see we are using APIs to trigger an external Mailing List upload at a set time per day and then another API script that then identifies the right mailing list to autosend a survey email too. I cannot find where that second API is and am having trouble creating one for a new survey send we are trying to create. I know the mailing list will have a certain title everyday but because its a new mailing list every upload the ID will not be the same. Does anyone know how I can set this up?

Hi All, I have couple of questions on Real Time Survey Responses: If I want to get Real Time Survey Responses of 2 surveys, do I need to create 2 web listener or 1 listener can handle multiple surveys? Does surveyengine.completedResponse retries if the web listener is down?Thanks,Somnath

How to create Blocks with Qualtrics API

Hello everyone (: I’m trying to create blocks with the Qualtrics API but I can’t get it to work. Clarification on "Active" Surveys

Hi there, I was wondering if there is clarification for what it means for a survey to be active? I’m trying to create a script to pull data for all surveys that are closed down and no longer collecting data. Is this equivalent to isActive == False? I only want to pull the data for surveys that are no longer collecting responses. Thanks!

Get Distribution list by a survey respondnent

Can a survey respondent call distribution list API and get the completion status of his/her survey? As the user won't be able to create a X-API-TOKEN, how will they be able to hit the API and get completion status?I am integrating this functionality in a new website. where the user will be able to see the completion status of the survey and if not completed, a notification should be displayed there. So, for that, once a user logs into the application, an API (distribution list) needs to be called by the user (who is the respondent of the survey) and get the completion status. But the user might not be able to create an X-API-token. So how can I implement this solution?

Creating Survey with Dynamic Content Using API

Hi, thanks in advance for any responses! I’m building a survey to collect responses to AI-generated designs. On the first page, users will enter desired attributes of the designs, and my backend will generate designs based on user inputs. After the generation is completed, I send out a user-specific survey. Simply put, I need to create a survey for each user using the images generated for the user. I’m super new to Qualtrics API and would like to know if there is any template/reference I can go to. Thanks a lot!

Is there an API to enable an administrator to see all surveys?

When running the …/API/v3/surveys API call, I can easily see all of MY surveys as well as those where the owner has collaborated with me on.  As many others are doing, I have needs to get a list of ALL surveys that have been created in the system, not just mine.  I’m an admin and not a user of the user of the system and need to share this information with other software packages we integrate with.The last time I’ve seen this request was about a year ago, but with no good resolution.  I've then looked at the release notes and have not seen anything.Bottom line, this is another shot at asking the question to see if this is available and I have not seen the documentation for it, or if it is on the release radar.  If it isn’t available, we’ll have to build a kludge where the users collaborate with a service user who can run the API and get the information.  Not good!

Transaction Contacts Import counts don't add up to original count

After creating the import and checking the status, I get status = complete and percentComplete = 100. I passed in 100 contacts, but the total counts never add up to 100. Why is this? I verified that meta.httpStatus is accepted before polling for progress. Automatically adding customer comments on internal social media

My company uses Jive https://www.jivesoftware.com/ as an internal social media tool. I’d like to automatically publish customer comments from Qualtrics to Jive in a group. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you.

Rerun the workflow with updated workflow

I made a small typo due to which more than 150 of my workflow tasks failed. I retried the tasks after correcting the typo but won’t update it and workflows fail again.  Any way to make it work?

Integrating Qualtrics with SQL database

I want to connect Qualtrics to SQL such that I can pull all survey data per a schedule into my SQL database? I tried searching this string but the only relevant thread is on bringing SQL data into a Qualtrics survey and not the other way. many thanks!

In export-responses/ API V3 how do I get the export id associated with each internal question id?

Hi,In the export responses, I receive each response value and label with the internal question id instead of the alterned export question id. When you manually export through the web interface, it provides the export ids for each question. The API on the other hand does not do this. The API only returns the internal question id. How do I get the mapping of the internal question id to the user defined export question id?  Thanks,Leslie

How do you associate 'Get Survey' .json file with 'New Response Export' .json file?

Background: I am trying to transition from Legacy Response Export to New Response Export. I already have scripts using Get Survey (https://api.qualtrics.com/reference/get-survey) to gather information about my surveys (as .json files) and Legacy Response Export (https://api.qualtrics.com/reference/create-response-export) to get the data (as .json files). My scripts could automatically link the files using exportColumnMap from the 'Get Survey' file [see green highlights] and labels on the responses in the 'Response Export' file. With the new 'Response Export' the responses are labeled with QID [see orange highlights] instead of labels matching exportColumnMap like in the legacy export. Question: So, how would you use scripts to associate 'Get Survey' .json file with 'New Response Export' .json file? This is not a coding question, I'm asking what field(s) match between these two files that will allow them to be used in conjunction? Related Questions that would still be very helpful to

Set (to empty) embedded data in directory from Java code

Hi XM Community, I would need support to set up a workflow that allows me to delete all values of a field (embedded data) in the directory. Qualtrics technical support suggested to use the "Code" task, which allows to run a custom code. Has anyone developed or is able to write Java code that performs this activity? The goal is for the workflow to "empty" the expected column, leaving all values blank.  I hope someone can help me and the post will also help other users who will be in my scenario.Andrea

Getting all open sessions for a survey

Hi there!Does anyone know how, given a survey ID, to find the IDs of all open sessions using the API? i.e., all sessions in which a user has started the survey, but not finished it?The use case is that I want to close a survey completely, and not allow users who have already started it to continue. Setting the SurveyStatus to Inactive closes it to new users who haven’t yet started it, but it seems I also need to manually close every open session.I know how to close a session once I have the ID, but how do I find the IDs of all those open sessions?Thanks!

How to pass the first webservice response results value to second webservice request URL?

Hi Experts,I am new to qualtrics and exploring the API and webservice action and currently facing an issue. The scenario here is I have created 2 web service tasks under actions, the first webservice is an API call to "Get the distributionID of the survey", the response returns the distributionId. I am using this distributionId value in second webservice to retrieve generated links. First webservice works fine, but the issue is for the second webservice distributionId value is not being sent as expected.In first webservice, have added the response result.id which is the distributionId value under piped TextIn second webservice, have referred to the result.id response in API urlBut second webservice fails, with the following Task Output{ "name": "ACTIONS.ERROR_CODES.INTERNAL_ERROR", "message": "we need a path", "needRetry": true}I am not clear what path is it referring here.
