Hi, I am sending a Thank you email with a message that includes a embedded data created from one survey response.  Something like this: Dear ${m://FirstName} ${m://LastName}, Thank you for responding the survey. Your ID number is ${e://Field/ID}. The name and last name are shown, but the ID number is blank. Can anyone know how to show it?  Thank you!

Hello, I have published a survey and then created personalized links. When a respondent opens the link, a message says, “Unfortunatly, you are not authorized to access this survey.". The anonymous link works and records responses. Any tips to make the personalized link work?

I have a survey that allows for many opportunities for comments. At the end of a block, I have a final opportunity to give additional debrief. For those that already gave comments throughout, I would like this final block comment box to compile the previous comments. In an effort to maintain motivation to complete my survey. How do I incorporate this? 

I will show subjects some texts with links. How can I know whether the subject actually open the link and how many times they open it? Similarly, if I show the subjects a video, how can I know they actually played the video?

I have not made any changes, when I go into Data & Analysis to look at my survey responses it says "Your responses are being re-indexed for speedier viewing and will appear shortly." I have been waiting for 20 minutes. What is more concerning is that in the upper right corner of the screen it says Recorded Responses 0/136 and Last Recorded Collected: Never - Inactive.I hope I did not lose all the survey responses, please help!

Hi all, We are asking respondents to let us know what time of day they do certain things and we therefore want them to input the hour and minutes for each item. We'd rather not leave this to an open-text answer, and are currently torn on the best way to handle this from both a respondent and data analysis perspective. Hi--I have created a survey that the same person completes every time they have a meeting with a client; new clients are regularly added, each with a unique ID, and the survey completer is likely to meet with each client several times. Is there a way to automatically update a dropdown list of client IDs in the survey each time a new client is added?  Thanks for any ideas--my Qualtrics skills are pretty basic and I’m trying to make better use of the possibilities it offers.

I want to distribute a survey to Hotel/Resort guests. I will distribute using a third party software that will append variables into the URL. I want respondents to be able to take the survey once for each stay (or each unique reservation ID), so I will use a variable called ReservationID=XXXXX, and append it into the URL.Question: If I have prevent multiple submissions turned on, will changing the ReservationID in the link allow respondents to submit a new response?Supposedly Prevent Multiple Submissions puts a cookie into your browser that prevents users from taking the survey multiple times, but it seems like a slight change to the URL will allow them to take it again.Another note: I cannot create a contact list and use an authenticator, as there are too many respondents coming in every day to make this feasible. Sorry for the multiple posts guys. I’ll update current posts in the future.

Hi, Is there a way to add a validation customized to a multiple choice response option (either select all that apply or multiple choice) with an added WITH a text box entry added to the response option? How do you enter in a validation check that only numeric is entered or character is entered? For example. Other, specify: [enter in free text]   

Hello. Is there a way to collapse/hide some question text so that it is optional for the respondent to view it?  I want to include detailed guidance of how to think about/collect the information to answer particular questions, but not all respondents may need this information.  Is there a way to collapse/hide it unless the respondent clicks on it to view? Thank you for your help.

Hi Community,Is there a way to hide bars on Vertical and Horizontal widgets, for below a certain number of respondents?This is when I am showing average revenue by segment, or by rating scores achieved.The issue is that the size of the average revenue bar commands attention, but the number of respondents for the segment is small and insignificant:Some averages are very high, but the segment has very few respondents, or the opposite Some averages are very low, but the segment has many respondentsSo I only want to show the bar when a threshold of 30 responses is true for that segment.My workaround so far is to add the percentage of respondents as a metric. This clutters the widget. 

I’m trying to create a configurable form question in Qualtrics for a travel expense form. The question would need to capture the date of the expense, justification, currency and the amount. I would like to allow the user to add lines as needed and have the amount totals add. I can do this by building a form with Jotform, but I’ve tried several ways to accomplish this is Qualtrics and I haven’t found a solution yet. Below is how it should ideally look: 

I have created a this CSAT measure group widget and want to keep it. I have been asked to give an “average” score for each of the shown categories. I know I can do recode values but am unsure of how to assign recode values to show an average score while also keeping the very satisfied-very dissatisfied widget.

I created several scoring categories in my survey including one scoring category with the overall score of the respondents. I want to make this category a variable so that I can look for associations between this variable and demographic characteristics of the respondents (e.g., does a higher age lead to a higher overall score?). I couldn’t figure out a way to do that so far, can someone help me?

I am setting up the Sensitive Data Policy in Qualtrics and need some help. The NI number works, so does the email address. I need help amending formats for the phone numbers to match format of UK phone numbers, as well as adding a Date of birth topic and maybe a policy number topic. Also not sure if it’s possible but First and Last name. I do not know how to amend or create JSON files, when I tried amending the phone number format from exported JSON file, I was not able to save it as JSON file. Is there anyone here who could help me? or anyone who is from UK and might have the required topics saved? Thanks 

Hello,Here is my situation: I have a survey on Qualtrics and I have a Survey Respose event, wich have a javascript task interceptor to collect the response data and use for integrations. In the respose, we have de “EndDate” field, wich is automatic filled by Qualtrics when the user completely responds the survey.How I get the field: const dataQx = new Date("${rm://Field/EndDate}"); The problem is that the “EndDate” comes with a UTC-7 timezone when a get from javascript.I need to collect this date in a UTC timezone without making a custom sum of hours in the javascript. When i collect this same response data through the Qualtrics api, the date is in UTC timezone. Hello, I am trying to build a survey that will allow people choose a time slot to attend for an examination. There are slots every hour from 9am to 5pm on the exam day, but only 100 people can attend per slot. I am using a multiple choice, single answer question type, to require people to sign up for one (only) of the available slots. Therefore, I want to set a quota per response option - limit 100 - that is, a count per response within a question. NB: not for the whole survey, and not based on the quality of the responses per se. I have tried establishing quotas in different ways, and using display logic based on quotas, but these all seem to operate at the level of the question, rather than the response within a question. I'd be most grateful for any guidance Matthew

I have a customer response who we noticed an embedded data was entered in incorrectly on their contact. I have gone in and adjusted it on the contact in the XM directory. How do I adjust it on the survey response?

Since the Table of Contents does not allow for the End of Survey element to work properly (you can’t go back after you leave the table of contents)… how can a survey be designed to allow for respondents to pop around to whatever questions they’d like instead of manually clicking through the next/back buttons?

Hi everyone,  I’m trying to understand if there’s a workaround to still make this happen, after confirming with Qualtrics support that it can’t be done with an embedded data value from the contact list.  What I’d like to do is have the “From Name” in an email distribution be unique to the recipient. I don’t need the “From Address” or “Reply-to Email” to change, just the “From Name.” For example, if a contact list had an account manager field for every contact, that name would appear as the sender. This doesn’t seem like such a niche thing, so I’m surprised it’s not an option. Any off-the-wall suggestions?

I have a workflow set up where respondents who complete the baseline survey will be sent a scheduled email to a follow-up survey after 3-months. I will like to send a reminder to those who have not completed this follow-up survey 3 days after receiving the follow-up email.This meant that in the “Reminder delay”, I would need to set it as 3 month 3 days, but that is not available.  Are there any simple workaround or trick for this?

I created text with Rich Text Editor which has some lines in bold. This is appearing as intended in the survey editor, but when I try a Preview, the entire text appears in bold.Would appreciate any help resolving! Thanks. 

I’m a total noob with Qualtrics and I’m starting data analysis for my survey now. For now, I just want some descriptive statistics (mean age, SD) for my sample but for age I used a text entry question and apparently you cannot use the statistics visualization functions in the results section with these type of questions. Could someone let me know how I can get these statistics with these questions?

 Hi, I’m having error and unable to login after I try to Import the ResponseID of Survey 1 to Survey 2. When I use LoginID alone it works but after Adding ResponseID it is not working. How can i fixed this?I have added the relevant screenshotThanks in advance!
