Thousand seperator in Conjoint Pricing

Pricing Feature in Conjoint is very helpful but it’s posing a problem when the currency goes up higher and higher to million. There’s no thousand separator in it and it's hard to watch when my price goes up and there a lot of 0 staying together (for both survey and report). I want the price to be 499,000 rather than 499000Also, I can’t find a way to access the Conjoint block in survey editor to be able to make any display change with HTML/JavaScript.Anyone have any idea on how to custom edit this? Thanks in advance!

Action - Schedule AND Event based?

Hi - I have a survey response action that triggers an email when a new survey response comes in. I am trying to figure out a way to have this send a collection of new responses at a regular interval, rather than every time a new response comes in. So, for instance, this could be a daily summary of new responses. Essentially, it would be a mix of an event-based and scheduled action. I've looked into workarounds, like sending a weekly report, but I can't find a solution. Is there any way to do this - send a daily email with new survey responses only?Thanks!

Tracking choice revision

When a user responds to a single/multiple choice question (more than one question per page), I want to record their first response and the subsequent ones in case they change their mind. I am interested in choice revision, but I am unsure how to be able to measure it on Qualtrics within an online quantitative experiment.I know the timing question records time until a first click is made and the time for the last click on a page, but I want to know which item was initially chosen on and additionally there are several questions on the same page. E.g. Participants should choose a product out of 4 options. By choosing they receive environmental feedback on overall purchase on top of the page. Based on this feedback they might change their initial choice and choose a different option out of the 4 options. Any help is much appreciated.

How do i randomize a subset of text in a question?

Community,I am trying to create a list experiment that looks like the following: “Report how many of the items are true for you:A B C DHow many items are true for you?” The answer provided would be in a text box. I want to randomize the order of the items in the list without manually creating different questions. Is there a way to do this?

Warning/pop-up message when answer is outside of numeric range of a text entry type question

Dear all,I have a text entry question type that asks for the age of the participant.It aims participants between 10 and 19 years old.Therefore whenever an answer is below 10 or greater than 19, I would like to have a warning/pop-up message.How can I achieve this? Thank you for your help.

Setting Quotas that use Embedded Data for Preventing New Surveys and Ending Current Survey

I like to think I'm pretty facile with Qualtrics, but I've never been able to set a quota group and feel comfortable about it. I'm programming more and more studies that award incentives to completes and I get nervous each and every time that I'm going to mess up quotas resulting in over-run of incentives. Or I'm unsure if I'm unnecessarily running respondents through a survey in which they will eventually be flagged as overquota.I'd appreciate some guidance if there is a better way to set my quotas so that when I, say, want 400 total responses with 200 residing in one state and the other 200 residing in any other state. My state variable is based on an embedded variable from the original contact list.So I generally set a General Quota at 400. Quota is set to increment when the text description on very final question is displayed. Once quota is hit, I've set rule so that it Prevents All New Survey Sessions.Then I set two additional quotas for in-state and out-of-state.For in-state

Ideas on how to detect and filter where a respondent free text answer mentions a specific staff name

Hi,We are working on creating some dashboards for frontline team members to view guest feedback. As part of these dashboards we are wanting to include some response tables with examples of real customer verbatim related to specific topics.Our issue is that these dashboards will be visible to all frontline team members, and we want to avoid including verbatim where a customer has named a specific employee in their feedback, as to not 'name and shame' the employee in these visible dashboards.Has anyone ever faced this issue? Are there any tools available in Text IQ or elsewhere that could help detect a name within text, and allow us to filter these out?Thank you in advance!

How to create 2 text set fields (month, year) from the Recorded Date metadata field in a survey project

Trying to capture Device Type and Browser Language as Emdedded Data

The two types of information I'm missing from the 'Meta Info Question' is the 'Device Type' (Desktop, Tablet, Phone) and the Browser Language. I was able to capture that information using JavaScript in another survey tool but we're transitioning to Qualtrics, and I've had no luck with so far.

Save data from one survey and use in the second one - embedded data?

I am wondering if there is a way to save answers from one survey and use it to prepopulate the second survey with it. The second survey would be taken by a different person. An employee fills survey/form A and when they hit submit, an email is sent to someone in HR that a form has been submitted. The HR person then needs to fill out a second form/survey B that needs some data from survey A which was filled by the employee. We are hoping form B could get some data prepopulated from form A, so the HR person does not have to enter the data again manually. I am new to Qualtrics. I did some looking online and it seems like piping the data in the URL only works if the first survey is redirected to the second one and is taken by the same person. I also saw some people post about saving the data as embedded fields and saving to a contact list to be able to reuse it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Highlight question with the text from previous piped text

Hello!I am trying to create a highlight question with the text coming from the displayed choice of a previous question. I have learned a lot from the community and figured out the basic logic is to first make a placeholder in the highlight text and then replace it with the piped text. Flatpickr not displaying with Simple Layout

Has anyone found a solution to implementing Flatpickr with the Simple Layout? I spent way too much time trying to troubleshoot my implementation (which eventually was correct) and still didn’t display the calendar picker because I was using the Simple Layout. Anybody get it to work WITH Simple Layout? When I preview the survey block or question, I don’t get any errors or anything, but when I click in the input field it literally just does nothing...

Hidden question traps for bots

Our data quality guru recently asked me about creating "honey pot" questions to help catch bots. These are questions that are "hidden" to respondents but will be picked up by bots. I use the auto-punch next to hide questions. Any thoughts on creating questions only bots would get are welcome!

Pin instructions to top of page as participants scroll through questions.

For the love of God, can someone please tell me how i can do this? I just want my two sentences of instructions to remain visible as participants are scrolling and answering the questions that follow. How do I do this? I found a couple of posts but they were about images and I have no idea how to translate those pieces of code to use them for text, I know very little about code... Help!

removing column answers from side by side questions

I am seeing this message when I go to remove a column response option (i.e., delete Answer 2).  “Removing column answers from a side by side question will invalidate the collected responses” Can you clarify what happens to the data when Answer 2 is removed? Will this invalidate data collected in this item? The survey is not yet published.

Infinite Loop Issue in Survey Flow Logic

I have a question called Q5, and there are many questions that are related to Q5, either [jump to Q5] or  [go back to Q5] and I'm building the logic with the survey flow,  You have some options that go back to Q5 in the subsequent questions  There are 8 blocks after Q5, and sometimes you have to go back to Q5 depending on what you select. and following blocks below, are displayed depends on answers at Q5.A. [If Q5=2] B. [If Q5=6] C. [If Q5=7]D. [IfQ5 = 5]E.[If Q5=8]F.[If Q5=9]G.[If Q5 = 3]H.[If Q5 = 4] I've organized a grouping of questions labeled as Q5-Q51, which starts from Q5 and all subsequent blocks or questions following Q5. I duplicated group Q5-Q51 in order to make the logic related to Q5 happen whenever you reach to Q5 again.However, I encounter an issue. Each time the duplicated  Q5-Q51 group is accessed, it prompts the addition of yet another Q5-Q51 group. This leads to an infinite loop of Q5 group duplication. Can you suggest an alternative approach to address this? I need

Hello,I want to populate the response of my slider (star) question with Q_PopulateResponse in survey URL. It works for text entry question but not with slider question. Is it because Slider question doesn’t support Q_PopulateResponse? Is there any custom code to make it happen please? Thanks

Code for custom button to start survey at top of page?

I have a long survey preamble. Respondents have to scroll to the very bottom to click "Next" to start the survey. Is there code that I can use to insert a button within the first "Text/Graphic" question type near the top of the page (right below the survey title/not in the Header) to start the survey? I'd also like to be able to customize the wording on the button. Thanks in advance!

Pipe text from input text to non-input text keeping enters (newlines) in a timed question

Hi!I am building an experiment where the participant has to write a text. In between writing the text i want them to answer a couple of questions, after which i want them to continue writing in the same text they were writing in before. They have 4 times 5 minutes of writing before they are sent to the question portion. I also would like them to be able to see the text they have written here, without being able to edit it.My problem is that when i pipe the text they have written to a text field, the “enters” are deleted.I have used the method from this post to take my text from the first textinput to the second and third...etc. And this works perfectly! (tldr: i created an embedded datafield in the flow after the first text input page with as value the textinput, and used default choices to pipe the embedded data to the new input textbox)But when I pipe the embedded data to a text/graphic question using “ ${e://Field/sometext}” it deletes the enters.I have tried the method in this post

display a pop message on screen when a particular response is given

Problem Implementing Timing at Block Level

Progress Bar for a block

Hi I have 2 blocks for my survey:block 1: 2 questionsblock 2: 150 questionsblock 3: debrief Block 2 is significantly longer than block 1, and the progress bar seems to move only when I have completed a block. So participants will see stable progress bar even as they complete many questions for block 2, until they finish all the questions. Is there any way to reflect progress as each question is being answered in block 2? Thanks!

Question about mean-average

Hi all. I am new to statistics and qualtrics and I would like some help understand why I am getting an average of 18.52 in one my questions, whereas all the rest questions (26 in total) show averages of 4.21,3.96,3.50 etc. I have the same number of responses for all questions that is 25 so far.Can someone help me understand how qualitrics calcuate the average? Is there an error from my side or the platform?Also, is there a detailed video showing how to automatically calculate a T test in qualtrics? Thanks
