How to change the date format in qualtrics as there are multiple date columns which are shown up as numbers. 

I’m trying to distribute a survey via email, and when I go to my library, nothing comes up. If I go directly to the library from the main menu, it’s full of messages, but from within Create Email, it’s blank. Searching does no good. I’ve tried another browser, and rebooting my computer. Colleagues are seeing the same thing.  What’s up?  

Hi all,I'm using constant sum with "choices" type. I can enforce only min and max value; however, I also would like to enforce only whole number (0 decimal). There is this option in constant sum for both bars and sliders but why not choices? Anyone could help me with JavaScript custom code to enforce integers for all the choices when participants type in their answers? Thank you very much.Best,Bell

Hi Community, Respondent will chose the age of their children in the screener and they may chose upto 5 children between male and female. If they select more than  1 children, and based on the quota which least filled the selected age the child should be displayed in main survey. 

Hi, I have a multiple choice question with 9 choices, however I require the person completing this question to be only able to select 3 of them. The question is: "When you are deciding which degree to pursue, what type of questions are most important to you? Choose three". There is another follow up question for each of the three choices selected so I have used Loop & Merge for this, which works well. Can you limit the amount of choices selected in a multiple choice question? Obviously you can make it a "single answer" multiple choice question but what I need is more like a "triple answer" multiple choice question. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks John

Dear all: I have a question. In my survey, I have an external link inserted. I want a value of 1 is recorded if the link is clicked; otherwise a value of 0 is recorded. I followed a instruction given on a website: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/38225021/tracking-when-an-external-link-is-clicked-in-qualtrics-with-javascript. It works very well if a respondent's response is recorded as complete. But suppose a respondent clicks the link and then leaves for the new page and never comes back, then his response is recorded as response in progress. And when I check his response, a value of 0 is recorded even though he clicks the link. Is there a way to deal with this? Thanks.

I am wondering a solution to redirect from survey 1 to survey 2 and come back to survey 1 again. I can redirect from survey 1 to survey 2 through customizing “end of Survey” element. But I want to come back from Survey 2 to survey 1 again (on a specific block) to answer few remaining questions, please help how we can do this. Thank you in advacne.

A reviewer of our manuscript wants to know precisely how participants were randomized in our surveys. We already say they were evenly randomized, so I think they want to know what Qualtrics’s algorithm does, under the hood, not merely how we programmed question blocks and in what proportion we randomized participants to conditions, etc. E.g., does it use the equivalent of a random number generator to assign each participant as they enter the survey, or alternate participants as they come (first person to condition A, second to condition B, third to A, fourth to B, etc.)? We haven’t immediately found any documentation about this. Does anyone know?

Hello Experts, I wanted to calculate tenure from hire date in employee lifecycle project. I have 25 responses for now which needs to be updated. Also, would like to group them like less than a year, 1 to 2 years, 3 to 4 years etc. Please can anyone help with this issue.  Thank you!

Save and Continue. Allow respondents to save and continue later.I click this in "Survey Options". But when I preview the survey, there is no such save and finish later option that I can click.

Hello everyone 🙂I’m coming here to hopefully get some help on my survey ! I have created a survey that has been closed and finish earlier this month. At that moment, when launching the survey, I didn’t know I would need to launch the survey again next month. So my problem is that I would need to identify which respondents corresponds to which wave. Indeed, I want to use the same “Survey” so I will have all of my data in just one survey, so in one dashboard to compare the results. I identify some solutions :Create a new variable that I would call “Wave” and apply a value “Wave 1” to all of my respondens of June. And do the same with a value “Wave 2” when I will be launch the next wave. → But I am struggling to export data/creating value on Excel/importing data again. Using “End Date” to group the answers with my logical, and then I would be able to split all of my variables and questions when I will analyse my data in Qualtrics Dashboard. → I don’t know how to do it, to create multiple

I have a survey and at the end of it I am redirecting it to a brand new Qualtrics survey. I need to be able to collect the response ID from the first survey and match it with the response ID from the second survey. So, I thought I could take the embedded data responseID and add it to the url that redirects it to the second survey. The redirect process works.My link looks like this: https://abcdef.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/GT_cVBYTRFefgZLYY? RID=${e://Field/ResponseID?format=urlencode} I’m not sure if this link is incorrect or I am just unable to export the now pulled over response ID. But when I compare the response IDs between the two surveys they do not match. I also tried to pull over an embedded field Center with the same process, a field that does not originally come with the survey and could not locate that field in the second survey at all.Am I supposed to add RID as an embedded variable in both surveys? I did try and it didn’t seem to work. Do you have any recommendations?

I’m exhibiting the participants of my survey some data from which I later on ask a couple of questions. I want to avoid them taking screenshots of the data so they can’t have it at hand when answering the follow-up questions. Is there away to disable screenshots while taking the survey? Thanks!

Hello, I am looking to create a validation for a text entry. It is always 8 characters long, starting with a letter. However, it will either be one of the following:1 letter and 7 numbers (e.g., A1234567) 2 letters and 6 numbers (e.g., AB123456) 3 letters and 5 numbers (e.g., ABC12345) 4 letters and 4 numbers (e.g., ABCD1234)I tried a few options, but none seemed to work.  Hi, I would like to know how you have calculated the CES. I find information such as: "it is the total number of customers who agree that their interaction was easy divided by the total number of responses. For example, if 65 out of 100 customers rate you with a 5, 6, or 7 on a 7-point scale, your Customer Effort Score (CES) would be 65."

Hello requirement is that I need to remove any new line characters from multiline text entry. I’m new to qualtrics, and I would like to set up a survey that is essentially a series of questions about one image (showing the same image with each different question). I would like the image to be selected from a large set (such that each image is seen roughly the same number of times across all the surveys), but the questions to be the same and in the same order for every respondent. I would also like to record which image was shown in the survey. Is there a straightforward way of setting this up?I’ve tried adding a couple images to my library and putting the urls into a loop and merge field, but I’m not sure how to make the piped text show up as an image, or how to make sure that the image is the same for each question in the survey.Also, I’m looking to have over 1000 images in the dataset--is there an easier way than uploading all of them and pasting in urls individually?

Does anyone know how to add the Customer's Contact info when creating a ticket from the CX Dashboard? I'm not talking about the "Action" or "Task" when creating tickets that is triggered. I'm referring to when you are in the dashboard, you can open the full record of a survey response, such as when reading their comments and want to create and assign a ticket, there's an option to create a ticket from this window but the only data fields that could be added are Questions from the survey and your Embedded Data. I don't see an option to pipe in Customer's Contact Info, which would be helpful for someone who would need to reach out to the customer. Thank you.!

I have a question set up to be a matrix table displayed as a carousel. The scale points are multiselect, but I want respondents to only be able to select up to 3 scale points. Can’t find a current functionality for this when a matrix question is in the carousel format, and with 14 statements would prefer overly complex custom validation.

Hello,I am creating my first Qualtrics survey and have not published it yet. Two questions in the first block of my survey show up in the preview version, but when I click "Show published version" or try to use the anonymous link, they do not come up even though all the other questions do. They are in the survey flow and one of the questions is required, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone know how to fix this?Thanks.

I wanted to consult you, I need that the client leaves a Comment as he wishes, writing in upper or lower case, but when it is saved in Qualtrcis, it must be saved in lower case....For this, what is the javascript code that I must add in the addOnUnload section?

I am quite new to EX and have my background in the CX context. With Qualtrics CX, data separation can be handled with different XM directories and/or custom embedded data fields indicating the source system. Now I was wondering if it’s possible to have multiple Employee directories as well and if not, what are the alternatives to differ test and production data (e.g. integrated from SuccessFactors). I mean you need to test properly and it’s very important that you don’t make any mistakes here. What are your experiences with it? Using some metadata field? BestChristian
