Placing a marker on an image and recording response

Hello! We are working on a survey and were wondering if it is possible to place a marker on an image and record the response?We have a survey, the Brief Pain Inventory, that was intended to be taken on paper and the participant marks where on the body they experience pain, seen here:Is it possible to create an image map and record the response of the participant, or link an area to a response option?Thank you!

Emails from Actions are not sending to me

Hello Everyone, I was fiddling with email actions to send an email to people upon survey completion. I could get the emails to send to any email except my own. I tried setting my own email as a fixed recipient, as piped information from the survey, and also as a survey respondent but no emails ever come to me. I have also checked my junk box.I used some of my other email addresses as tests which work. I've asked colleagues to complete the survey and they got an automatic mail. I've also set my colleagues as test recipients which also worked. It is only with my organization email that I cannot receive any system mail. Can anyone help me with this?

Problem with math operator used as embedded data

Dear community members, I would like to ask you for any advice regarding the problem with the usage of math operator for embedded data. I just want to create a simple index by computation of the value of three responses and saving this value as embedded data for future use. I created the foloving equation in the survey flow below source variable:NormativeTrust_CT (set to number, but I tried also version without setting any variable type) = $e{ ( q://QID3/SelectedAnswerRecode/1 + q://QID3/SelectedAnswerRecode/2 + q://QID3/SelectedAnswerRecode/3 ) / 3 }Despite repeated consultation with the manual (e. g. https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/editing-questions/piped-text/math-operations/) and forum, countless attempts of equation modification and check source variables in the survey project, I'm not able to get more than empty embedded variable NormativeTrust_CT in the data file. Redirect based on text entry answer

I have a somewhat complicated attention check that I'm not sure how to build and am hoping someone can help me with.My survey has 4 different conditions, with a randomizer branching to present participants with one of four different stimuli at the very beginning (I'm saving their condition as an embedded variable). Then on the next page one of the things I have is a text entry question where the correct answer will depend on which condition they were in. So in essence what I have to do is convert their text entry answer to fully lowercase (because we don't consider the answer case sensitive), then check whether it equals some condition-dependent string, and if it doesn't then redirect them to a termination url (letting them continue in the survey if their answer was correct).Does anyone know how I can do something like this?Thanks in advance!

Choose random 3 images out of 150 options

Hello, I am 150 images. I want to choose randomly 3 of them and display them as multiple choice options (no text). What is the best way to do this? I have tried splitting the 150 into 3 fields, and making each multiple choice option as one field, but the images are not random and always the same images groups. Thanks!

Bypassing Redirect URL when consent not given

Hi, I have an informed consent form redirecting to an experimental task online via Pavlovia upon completion of the consent form survey. However, I'm wondering if it's possible to bypass the end of survey redirect URL if participant's do NOT provide consent for the study. This doesn't work by just branching to End Survey, since that then initializes the Redirect URL regardless of which option participants select (i.e., consent, or don't consent) . I suppose I am looking for some sort of "kill switch" for the whole survey if participant's do not provide consent. Is there anything of this sort currently available on the survey platform? I'm not overly knowledgable in JavaScript, but am open to solutions in that realm as well. Thanks!

All images as MC and blank export

Hello, I have a question with a loop of three images choices. There are no words in each choice and whenever I export, the responses are all blank. Is there a way to fix this like labeling the answer choices secretively? Thanks!

Storing embedded data in desired format

I built an embedded data element that is summing table matrix values and answers will be in the thousands. When I display the value in a later question, I was hoping to display "3,857" rather than "3857". Is this possible? I found reference to storing embedded data with formats on a previous post, but no details on how to do this and when I look at the option, I can set it to a number format, but that does not bring any formatting options.

Slider bar labels covering bar

I am trying to ask a simple question using a slider bar. The question contains only one statement (which I've made blank). I would like to show the grid lines/number labels ranging from 0 to 10. However, for some reason the numbers seem to be positioned incorrectly. They are covered by the bar. I haven't added any JS or CSS code to these questions. Is there anything I can do to have the number labels sit either on top or below of the bar? I didn't have this problem until I changed the layout to "flat."

How to carry forward specific selections as items in a rank-order question

Hi all,I am working on a survey in which participants will be provided with definitions and asked to rate from 1-7 how accurate they are. I then want to collect all items rated 4 or higher and use them as items in a rank-order question, so essentially they could rank the definitions which they earlier identified as being a 4 or higher on the scale. Any help with this question would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you!

How do I make it so my scenario question is at the top of every page in my randomised block?

I've been trying to work out how to put my scenario question (I'm trying to make a DCE survey) at the top of every new question page (5 questions per page) while the questions are randomised within the block. I worked out how to make sure it was always the first question but I would like to also have it displayed at the top of every following page if that is at all possible.Sorry if I haven't explained this very well.Thanks!

how to use Add a referral website URL

Hello, I have been trying to use the 'Add a referral website URL' function to try to screen out bots (I do not have acces to the fraud detection package). I have posted the link on a website and then copy and paste the url from that website into the 'Add a referral website URL' box and turn it on. This prevents anyone from accessing the survey. When folks click on it, they are denied entry. Support said that I should just use 'www.reddit.com' not the entire url. I tried that as well and it still didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas of what I am doing wrong? thank you

Save/export data from authentificator

Dear community,I am using a contact field with a contact list trigger in one survey to record the participant identification. In another survey, I am using the authenticator item to check against the contact list which contains the data entered in the first survey. However, the data entered in the authenticator in the second survey does not seem to be saved, e.g. in the Excel output data.However, I would need to collect the participant identification in the survey so that I can merge the data from the different questionnaires. Is there any possibility to export the identification entered in the authenticator?Thank you very much in advance for your help!Please note that I am new to the Qualtrics community and I might thus have assigned it to a different category.

Piped text and embedded data do not appear in questions

Hi, I first set an embedded data in the survey flow: Round1WT = 120.Then in the question, i want to pipe text: Why this piped text does not appear in the question? And i want to use this in the javascript. It shows the value is empty. I tried parseInt, and the value is NaN. Why is that? Thanks!!

Show a summary at the end of block

Hi,Here is the situation. I'm having the respondents create a bundle. I'm doing it over 6 different questions. so at each question, they will select which features they would include in the bundle. At the end of the exercise, I want to display all the features they would include in the bundle. I'm using the test/graphic question type and could pipe in everything they selected in the 6 questions. However, I want to have it displayed like a list. Is there a code which would allow me to display their selections in a list?

Response count doesn't add up across survey questions

Hi, I set up a survey where all the responses are mandatory. However the response count for the first question and those further down the survey are not consistent. For example, first question has 16 responses and then question 5 has 14 and question 6 had 13 responses. Does Qualtrics record the response even if the respondent doesn't make it all the way to the end of the survey?

How to extend survey expiration for one person in the distribution and exclude them from reminder ?

If a respondent requested an extension of the deadline, how do I manually exclude them from a reminder distribution (for example, original distribution was sent to 24 people, 2 completed a survey, 1 asked to extend a deadline by one week; therefore, I need to chase 21 people today – how do I exclude the one person who requested the extension?)

Copying and pasting Arabic from word document to Qualtrics

We hired an outside vendor to translate a survey from English to Arabic. When we go into the translation section in qualtrics, select edit language, then create a language to copy and paste the translated text, it is not copying over correctly due to the language being written from right to left... any thoughts on how to get this working?Someone said qualtrics is only compatible with the typical "left to right" languages.

Validation of form field content in combination with display logic

I have a question with several form fields. Each form field includes display logic based on previous responses. So some people will see only one form field and others will see 5 or 6 form fields. For each of the form fields that are shown, the response should be a number between 1 and 100. I have also set the custom validation for the entire question so that validation will pass IF: The first form field is displayed, AND the response for that field is greater than 0 AND the response is less than 101. AND the second form field is displayed, AND the response for that field is greater than 0 AND the response is less than 101. AND the third form field is displayed, AND the response for that field is greater than 0 AND the response is less than 101. etc. I have tried setting the "edit form field" logic to require a numeric value for each form field, and I've tried setting it to "no validation".However, I can never get the validation to pass, no matter what respon

We would like to put a link at the end of all of our eLearning modules. Can the first question be prefilled based on what module the user clicks into the survey from? A URL or other metadata?

Does the randomizer generate an index as embedded data?

When using a Randomizer, embedded data can explicitly be set to record which of the random options was selected. Does the Randomizer itself generate any embedded data automatically that can be referenced to identify which of the options was selected during the survey?I know that the Flow IDs can be exported after the fact, but if this information could be accessed online that would simplify development in my case (there are a large number of cases, and I just use a "LIST_ID = i" variable, where i is an integer between 1 and N). I also know that I can ask Qualtrics to generate a random integer, but the "Evenly Present Elements" option of the Randomizer is important to me.
