I have created a pick, group, and rank question. The items are images (referred to by URL) and I want the participant to drag the images into the group box. However, sometimes the images get "stuck" and won't drag into the group box. It's like there's an invisible line on the screen that the pictures won't cross. In the attached image, I'm trying to drag the butterfly picture into the box. However, no matter how far I move my mouse to the right and down, the butterfly stays where it is, above the box, and won't drop into the box. There appears to be nothing I can do to get the image to cross this invisible line and go into the box. In contrast, some of the other images seem to work fine, and the butterfly image works fine once other images have already been dragged into the box and aren't still on the left panel. I've had this problem both when I have multiple group boxes and I'm trying to drag one item per box, and also (as in this attached picture) when I have one box and the items a

Dear All,I am new to the Qualtrics community. I am designing a discrete choice experiment and would like to display 2 photos next to eachother and ask people to chose one or the other (so display 1 tick box under each photo). I can't seem to work out how to display photos next to eachother or put in tick boxes for choice 1 & choice 2. Does anybody know?Thank you so much for your help!Illi

I'm new to Qualrics and shall appreciate any insights on the following issue. I posted a survey on a website and collected a first round of data. The final question on the survey (Q20) asks respondents to leave an email address if they would like to answer a follow-up survey in three months. How exactly do I now use the email address given in Q20 to send the respondents the round 2 survey such that round 1 and round 2 data for the same respondent can be linked? Note that the round 1 survey will not be identical to the round 2 survey. Many thanks!

Hi, I'd like only those that use an anonymous link to get a demographic question since I have that info for those on my contact list. Is there a way to do this?

Hello, I'm reaching out for some expert advice.I'm moving forms from another platform to Qualtrics. The client would like to retain the submission tracking convention. For example, the most recent submission in the old system is tagged as response O-0058. She would like the first submission from Qualtrics to be tagged O-0059, and the second submission O-0060, and so on.I've been in touch with Qualtrics support, but was unable to resolve this question.Put another way, is it possible to customize the Response ID? Or create a similar, custom field? Any support would be appreciated.

Can the survey always be directed to the home page when they click on the link?I plan to use Anonymous Survey Link. I tried to use the link. Suppose I answered some questions, then I close it, then I come back. The survey will be from the previous question that I finished. Then if I keep answering questions and submit. This response is recorded. Then I can reopen the link, it will start from the beginning. So I can do another survey. But my professor said "Ok – but what if someone starts a survey but doesn’t finish and submit it? Can they always be directed to the home page when they click on the link?"

Hello Qualtrics Community,I have a personal free Qualtrics account, using which I am doing a project. I am preparing to launch a survey from my personal free account. I noticed that there is no download option in the free account. Can someone please give me pointers/suggestions, as to how can I download the survey data in a csv or excel format? Thanks,Ank

I have exported my responses data from my questionnaire onto excel, on Qualtrics it shows I have 22 responses and 3 partial responses. On excel all 22 responses say 100% in the progress column and "true" in the Finished column, but I can only see responses on 10 of them - the rest are just blank even though it says they are completed (they're not partial responses). Does anyone know why this could be? Could it be an issue with the data or just that they haven't answered any of the questions? Thanks!

Hello, I'll be conducting a study where I'm collecting responses from several sets of paired people. How do I set up the survey so that it does not collect any identifying information and so that I can know which response came from which person of each pair (ex. that response A came from person 1 of pair 1, response D came from person 2 of pair 2, etc.) Do I assign paired participant IDs to be entered into the survey by the participant? (Ex. telling person 1 of the first pair to enter their ID as 1a and the second person is 1b, next pair is 2a, 2b, and so on.) Is there any other way to do this?

Hello,I'm working on a project that is trying to allow respondents to enter a project ID that will pull from an external data source, piping in data from the row that matches the Project ID. Has anyone implemented a project like this? I'm looking into different options but am not sure where to start.Thanks.

Hello,I would like to use (branch?) logic in such a way that:Respondent fills in multiple choice question, with possibility of checking several boxes; Each box has a block related to it, which respondent will be transported to if they checked it.Example - my question is:"Which product(s) have you used?"*Product A**Product B**Product C*If the respondent selects Product A and Product C, they will first be transported to a block with questions about Product A, and subsequently to a block with questions about Product C. I would love to know how this can be achieved. Thanks a lot in advance!Lennard

I know it is a silly question, but I don't know my account username and password. I log in my Qualtrics in my Mac and from my new university's Qualtrics website. So I log in Qualtrics with my campusID and password. But now I need to log in in the Offline Survey App. I succeed to download in my iphone. But when I open it, I need to input my username and password. I don't know!

In my research team, we will do interview. Interviewers have Amazon tablets. How do we download the Qualtrics surveys to the tablets so they can be used when the tablet is not connected to the internet? The tablets will not be connected to the internet when the interviewers (several graduate students and undergraduates) are entering data in the field. Will data entered offline automatically transfer to the database when the tablets are connected to the internet? Any suggestion is welcome!

Can the screener survey automatically assign a participant ID number? If this could be assigned on the screening survey and automatically copy to the “short survey” (another survey) somehow, that would be ideal. It is exactly for ID but we probably don’t want it to be random. Maybe a four digit in ascending order, but how do we make sure people in the field aren’t getting the same number if they are conducting interviews at the same time?

Can the survey include a field for the laboratory generated barcode ID? We just need a blank field called “laboratory barcode.” Interviewer will need to type in but maybe could take a picture too?

I'm trying to use Actions to automatically update records in my email list with new data based on a survey response. The survey must have the Anonymize Response Survey Termination setting enabled to prevent respondents from being identified with their responses. I've run a test scenario and the process is failing. The Task shows it's completed, but the Add to Contact List part fails. I'm guessing this is because of the Anonymize Response setting, because it doesn't happen in surveys that don't have that setting applied, but I can't find any confirmation that this is expected behavior in the Support pages or Community. Has anyone else run into this before? Is there any sort of workaround?

At the end of the screening questions, can a result be given to the interviewer about whether or not the person is eligible? The eligibility rules are: (I only have 4 questions in this short survey.)Q1=18 – 99 years AND Q2=2 Black or African American (other response items in addition to “2” are fine) AND Q3=30321 or 30318 or 30310 AND Q4=2=no THEN the participant is eligible.

I know I don't make my question clear. I am creating a survey now. One question is race. The responses / answers are: 1 American Indian or Alaska Native 2 Black or African American 3 Asian 4 Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander 5 White 15 Some other race 99 Prefer not to answerThese numbers / value labels are from the predefined codebook. I know I can change or define these value labels in Stata or R. But I don't know whether it is necessary to do this step in Qualtrics.

In a matrix type question, for each statement, I want the person who answered on a scale of 1 or 2 or 3 to continue with the follow-up question. How do Ido that? Thanks!

Thanks for the help!

Hi all, I'm trying to create a Peer Review Process to my department products, here is the scenery:1. A Lead Production from our team will fill out a survey about a product (e.g., name, audience, link to the material…), we are going to have several products entries.2. The Reviewers, in another survey, will selected a product from a list, once the product is selected the survey will display the information about the product collected from the Lead Production survey. With this information displayed the Reviewer can start taking the survey questions.Does anyone know how can I approach that?thanksMatheus Cezarotto

I'm trying to find an elegant way to update attributes for a subset of the records in a list. For simplicity, say a list has 100 records with many attributes, one being FriendOrFoe.I have the reference ID for 20 of those records that I need to add or change the value of FriendOrFoe. Some of the 20 already have the attribute, but some don't, so it would need to be created for them. Can I create a .csv file with the reference IDs and the value of FriendOrFoe of that list of 20 and "update" the list, without having to export all 100 records and replace the entire list?I certainly hope the answer is "Sure, and here's how...".Thanks!

I would like to send personal links to a survey so that the results are recorded, but I would like to give the user the option to change their answers anytime later(days, weeks, months later). I need the personal link to remain the same as the url will be accessed using a web page login our team is setting up. So in summary from the user perspective, they login into our page, click a link to access their personal survey link and leave. Days later they can go back to our page, login and change their answers. Can this be done?

I created a survey in to represent a quarterly check list for several locations. I would like the results of each survey in the form of a pdf that will be in the same layout as the survey. I do not want an excel spread sheet or a graph report of my surveys. Simply one PDF per survey that perhaps can be auto emailed to me once completed. Please assist.
