I tried to leverage ChatGBT with limited success since I’m not super technical. So while I’m reverting back to the Rank question for now because it technically accomplishes my task, it didn’t provide the best UX for the amount of options the users need to rank.TASK: I have 48 name options to rank into a top 10 list. So I wanted to have 10 multiple choice questions in dropdown format where after each question, the answers selected in previous questions are removed from the list.  I’m open to scrapping the code from the AI if there’s a more efficient way to do it. I have created multiple surveys using retake links but I am running into an issue I haven’t experienced before. This survey is being used for two different references to submit letters of recommendation for the same candidate. The first reference answers a multiple choice question and uploads a file. When their submission is received, an email is sent to the second writer do the same thing in duplicate questions. After both have been received, an email is sent to the review board with links to the files. When I use display logic to hide the first respondent’s questions/answers, the answers are erased upon submission of the retake link. However, if I leave them so they’re visible to the second respondent, their answers are intact. In my past experiences (with more complex surveys), I have not experienced this problem. Hi there!I’m trying to add in a dropdown into a multiple choice response but not quite sure how to go about it. Below is the question and responses:Q: “how many of each vehicle do you currently own?”Multiple choice responses:Petrol or diesel car (drop down options:1-5) Hybrid car (drop down options:1-5) Electric car (drop down options:1-5) Motorbike (drop down options:1-5) etc...When I try to chance the format to ‘dropdown’ it just puts petrol car, hybrid car, electric car etc… into the drop down, rather than allowing me to do a drop down for just the number of those vehicles.The only other thing I can think of is doing a text entry for each option so respondents can type in the number of those vehicles that they have? Does anyone know how to do a drop down within a multiple choice question?Thanks in advance,Sara

I am wanting to export (cx) dashboard usage monthly (we have a business expectation that leaders are looking at the dashboard regularly) to determine who is not using the dashboard.When I export these are the fields that get exported. I am exporting under admin>content engagement and then filtering down to the specific dashboard.I am wondering :if there is a way on “name” that we could have first and last name very helpful when we have 100’s of people we are trying to sort through. Ideally it would be two columns: first name, last name. if there is a way to display users who have not viewed the dashboard. On the reports it seems that it only pulls those who have viewed the dashboard. *only leaders have access to this dashboard and therefore everyone that the dashboard is shared with should be on the list. I know that I can take the usage list and put it into another excel file that contains all leaders names and then create a formula on that the deduce who has not viewed the dashboa

I have a matrix table with 7 options someone can select for themselves and for their children. I want to get a count of how many times Column 2 was selected for all of the children, but exclude the selection for “yourself”. Is it possible to do a count of the specific answer in column 2 , but exclude the selection for “yourself” in the statments? I plan on using the count from this question as an embedded data field so I can compare the count to another field to make sure that the counts match. 

Dear community, The requirement is to create a two-level drill-down question where the higher level is automatically selected using embedded data that comes as a query string from the anonymous link of the survey, thus only the relevant options at the second level of the question are offered to the participant. A kind of display logic for the second level.  i Would like to have a drilldown question so autocomplete question with SDS instead is not what i’m looking for. Also, there are thousands of different options to set so display logic is not the way to go. Please advise. have a wonderful day,Dar 

Hello,We have translated our survey into multiple languages and would like to create separate copies of the survey for each country (i.e., with a different language per copy).We have reviewed the Qualtrics documentation and saw that it explains how to let participants choose their preferred language when responding. However, we do not want to offer a language-selection option to respondents — we want to have fully separate surveys from the start, each in a single language.The problem we are facing is that when we change the survey’s base language, our translations are deleted. We have not been able to find a way to change the survey’s language while keeping only the desired translation without losing the other translations or the existing content.Could you please advise on how to create independent survey copies for each language without losing our translations?Thank you for your help.

HiAre there anywhere else options to adapt an image when exporting as an JPG? I only get options for the delivery of the image (see picture).The problem is that the labels are too small in e.g. a bar chart image.What is the best way to export the results?  

I'm not sure if I'm just missing it somehow but how do I end a survey to prevent people from taking it? Am I able to schedule it ahead of time or where do I go to click end? I've tried to search this question on here but haven't found an answer. Thanks!

Hello All,I’m trying to use codes taken in from GoogleSheets through WebService in my survey (as form a one-time reward for participants). I have a working script pasted in Google’s AppsScript (after each time I go through a preview or another form of doing the survey, I see in my GoogleSheets that a code has been used - it’s getting marked as used; I’ve pasted the script’s code at the very end of this message).My Survey Flow looks like this (link is correct ;) and the length is as it is now, it’s testing first :))...And I believe that piping in form is also fine: However, I don’t see the code - just the text (even though the script works). I set the app as public with access to everyone and I’ve set the sheet as public (same; the app works in incognito and the test Web Service in Qualtrics’ Survey Flow connects with the app, marking new codes as used).Still - there’s no code visible in either preview or actual link :( Could anyone help me out and either point out what I’m doing wrong

I have setup survey flow branch logic to screenout people who fail certain checks (Age, postcode, etc).I have a unique ‘screenout’ link from my panel sample provider. I put that into the URL redirect, and clicked “Flag response as: screened out” (as per screenshot below).However in the data that I’ve now collected, there is no column that has “screened out” or anything that could conceivably be a ‘screened out’ flag.(I’ve manually filtered responses to those that had eligible postcodes and those that didn’t and there is no data in the spreadsheet that clearly distinguished between the two, even though the branch logic definitely worked as those who don’t have eligible postcodes don’t get shown any more questions.)So how do I find / filter by screened out flag?Thanks  

Hi, I have not used Javascript before and would like to find out if it is possible to get around the problem without using JS. I have a series of multiple choice questions (2 attached in the example). I need the value of the second question to be less than the value of the first question to validate. (The idea being that you can’t get an undergrad without a high school degree, so likelihood of UG can’t be higher than high school). I can’t get custom validation to use the coded values of the options to set up the logical validation.

Has anyone successfully done this by navigating to Admin > Data Privacy > Retention Policy? If so, could you share how you configured the job?If not, aside from exporting and reimporting responses, are there any alternative methods you've used to anonymize metadata that Qualtrics doesn’t allow you to edit?Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I have a survey with randomisation in which participants are randomised to one of four conditions (each one is a different block of text). They then answer the same set of questions. I have attached a screenshow of my survey flow below, however, it appears that the ‘set embedded data’ sections in green were not published until later, and therefore not included in the survey that participants accessed. When I export the data, ticking the 'export viewing order data for randomized surveys', I get an empty column titled condition and a column titled ‘FL_8 - Block Randomizer - Display Order’ with letter and numbers as the values for each participant, and a column titled ‘Condition A - Display Order’, with most cells empty, but some filled in with ‘condition A’.Can anyone help me work out how I get Qualtrics to export which of the four conditions each participant was shown into excel? Thank you  

I have seen solutions for a regular matrix table. How do you do this on a drop down matrix table?

Hi,I’m trying to get a matrix question that’s in accordion/mobile view to collapse the last row when a value is entered (like it already does for all the other rows). Hi all, I am designing an experiment where I have different 3 different sets of trivia questions with randomly selected questions. Each participant will answer one set of trivia questions. Once they take the quiz, I ask them other survey questions. I would like to display the scoring summary once they finish the trivia questions but before I ask the other survey questions. Hello dear community Since I have been using with Qualtrics, I have received the following error message when opening the rich content editor within projects from the survey question editor.This is the error message:#ErrorCodes, Unexpected status code from Library API getting library folders: 400#My account is the free account with currently a 30 day trial of the Strategic Research Plan. How do I get access to upload a picture to my question?Why does my account not connect to my library? Worked with Copilot to help with the JavaScript to create a drop down list of States and then list of 4-year institutions from an excel file saved within Qualtrics- it works perfectly, but will not export the selected choices from the completed survey. I did create embedded data titles SelectedState and SelectedInstitution in the workflow.
