Generating a condition to loop back a number of times to re-ask questions - loop back depends on the number generated from an earlier question in survey

Hi - I am trying to create a survey, part of which contains a with a loop back function - loop to an either or question - and the loop is supposed to loop back ten times OR a lower number from a prior question answer. The number of loop backs is to be generated from a slider question - to be a max of ten times - and the subsequent questions are a group of this (block) or that (other block), get to end, loop back and repeat. A question determines if you go this or that. Final question to be done after the last loop. I can’t get ‘loop and merge’ to work, and I can’t get ‘logic’ to work. Are there any templates on-line or any advice?

Can you restrict multiple entries using anonymous survey link

Can you restrict multiple entries using anonymous survey link? Looking to use anonymous survey link to have users complete survey, any ideas on how to do this while still restricting users to submit more than one response. Can I set up any restrictions related to their specific answers? For example, if I ask for their email, can I restrict their submission if they have already used that email to submit a previous survey?

Survey Version in Troubleshooting

Sometimes clients notice that many questions were not displayed to the respondent. Why is that? Is the survey malfunctioning? Did they skipped it to the end? Probably not. It is possible that they have taken older version of the survey. To check the survey version, you will need to add an embedded data Survey Version to your survey flow. Navigate to survey flow Add embedded data, choose SurveyVersion from the list Apply Go to Data&Analysis tab Add column with embedded data: SurveyVersionID ➡ Check this video . Now that you know how to get the version number, you can see what does the survey look like in that version. Navigate to Survey tab. Click Tools >Versions > View version history Select a version you wish to display Click “View in survey builder” The version will be displayed Please note that the URL of the page will change. You can now copy-paste the version ID to display that particular survey. ➡ Check the whole process in this video .

Hi *, when you edit responses in the data tab (for EX projects)… Is there a complete overview, what was changed and from whom? I know that there is a flag in the data tab for every edited response, but a complete list would be nice. Thx and regards

Carry forward scale point only if certain statement were selected

Hi, I have a matrix in which I have as statements (rows) five actions (i.e., “Avoid the product”, “Replace the product”, “Bought less”, “Did not buy today”, “Not considered”) and three food categories as scale points (i.e., “fruit & veggie”, “meat”, “diary” in columns). In the following questions, I want to carry forward as scale points only the food categories for which participants selected one of the first three statements (I.e, avoid, replace or bought less). If for example a participants selected “I avoided the product” for “meat”, I want “meat” to be carried forward. If a participants selected “I did not buy that product today” for “dairy”, I do NOT want to carry forward “dairy” for the next questions. Is there a way to tell the system not to carry forward a scale point if the last two statements (i.e., not bought today and not considered) were selected? Thank you very much for your help! Giulia

Code Working in Header but not in Theme Template

I have a JavaScript code in my header that switches between normal mode and custom dark mode using an embedded variable from the backend. The code works perfectly when I place the JS in the header and the CSS in the custom CSS section. However, when I try to add the same JS and CSS code in the Theme tab with a template, it doesn’t work as expected. I'm unsure what the issue is, but it seems that the embedded data isn't being properly incorporated into the addOnLoad code that I added. Any help would be appreciated!

How to Calculate Averages in Qualtrics Before Exporting to Excel?

Hello, I've been browsing the support pages on calculating totals and scores, but I haven't found any information on how to calculate simple averages, both across all participants and for individual participants, in a survey. I know I can do this in Excel using the AVERAGE formula, but I'd like to know if Qualtrics can calculate these averages for me so that they're already included when I export the file to Excel. Does anyone know how to do this?

Question Type: constant sum Answer Type: choices Trying to do a Van Westendorp on a package. I want to say… Here’s a package that’s worth $50. We want to add ABC to the package. How much more are you willing to pay for the package? Package base price: $50 Value of ABC for it to be a good deal: RESPONDENT ANSWER Total: PACKAGE + RESPONDENT Is there a way to disable editing for the first choice (Package Base Price)? I’m aware of this post, but it disables the entire constant sum--I just want the base price disabled.

Ticketing System W/O CX License

I have a survey created to capture our service requests. In addition, I had created a workflow task to place our data into a google sheet. This would allow us to assign columns in the sheet after the fact to add information. Who was it assigned to, was it complete, was the follow-up survey sent, etc. However the google sheet workflow task does not allow for any changes after it has been saved. Meaning that if we wanted to make changes to the survey, we would need to completely recreate the google sheet workflow. Any suggestions of how others may have created a ticketing system w/o having the CX license?

Digital XID method of creating generic ExternalRepondentID on mobile

My client is looking to implement several App intercept surveys that require creating Contacts into a XM Directory. Several of these survey locations are located in pre-validated areas (before customer login). We are looking for a method to create the required ExternalRespondentID in a mobile App enviroment. Is there any know method of doing this?

How to manage many forms with many creators within one team

Hi all! We previously used MachForm to manage our forms but we are looking into utilizing Qualtrics since Qualtrics will better fit our needs. Some background to help explain: I have a team of 6 people - 3 of which are student workers. We currently have our entire Web Ops team as administrators within MachForm, so any forms created by anybody on our team, we can immediately access and maintain. Currently with Qualtrics, any forms that I make, I have to share via collaboration to my teammates in order to allow them also be able to maintain those forms. We have close to 300 forms that we maintain and having to share them manually between all our team members (and having to re-share every time we have a student worker graduate) is just not efficient for us. Does anyone use a setup where you have a group with multiple team members within it and you can instantly have access to whatever forms the other people in your group create without having to share or collaborate every time? TIA!

Is there a way to set a survey retake limit?

Hi all! I have a survey that will be taken by around 3500 respondents. It DOES allow multiple submissions, which is what we want, UP TO THREE TOTAL RESPONSES. Does anyone know if there is a way to allow multiple responses but then set a limit on that? I ask the respondent for their unique ID number at the beginning of the survey each time, so ideally if they tried to enter that a fourth time, it would say they hit their limit. Not sure if a quota can be placed on an open text box? Or is there a way to set things up so the cookie embedding to limit retakes only happens after the third submission?

Capturing Years and Months in one question

In a single question, I want to ask how long a respondent has been doing something and I want to record the number of years and the number of months. I have got close by using a form field but I am not able to validate the content beyond just ‘numeric’ and I want to have range limits in each field (0-30 for years and 0-12 for months). Any advice on this would be most welcome!

Line graph of Survey End grouped by Week - how to show ALL weeks?

Hi all, I have a survey that I’m using to collect requests for service in our group. I’d like create a Report showing how many requests we get each week. I set up the report (screenshot attached), but I noticed that weeks without any submissions are omitted. I verified that there’s no minimum number of records required to display. How can I get the x-axis to show every week? It’s important for us to track “slow” weeks with no requests for service. Thanks!

Back button with survey flow elements

Hi,I want to have a back button in the block after a survey flow element (e.g. in screenshot below, i want to have a back button in the block "Claims history")The back button option is on but it won't appear between blocks with survey flow elements. I wonder whether there is a workaround for this? Thanks!

Problem with metrics in Results page

Good morning! I have an issue in the new Results page. In single multiple choice questions (so not a matrix but a single question), I am unable to properly see the results by metric. See the below image for reference. What I would like here is to not have the minimum, maximum, average and count by answer category (Ja en Nee in this case), but only as a total. I figure my problem is related to the error messages in the metrics on the left side of the page, but I cannot change the metric field to the question I want it to relate to (that question does not appear as an option). I also cannot figure out how to remove Ja/Nee as rows, I can only remove the rows as a whole (which leads to having no answers at all). This issue is happening to all of my single multiple choice questions, but not to multiple choice questions in a matrix. Is there a way to combine multiple answers into one line with minimum, maximum, average and count?

Please explain the intended use case. Why is this important? How can it make your experience better? The ticket's due date must exclude the weekends and public holidays. This enables the business to monitor the ticket without taking into account the ticket status excluding the days when ticket resolver is on leave. This will help to improve the ticket resolution timeline for the business.

Javascript to create radio buttons

Hi, I am trying to create a number of Yes / No radio buttons using javascript based on external data reference. Can I pass ID code on import and pass out on return to SONA, without saving ID in datafile?

We are trying to avoid saving SONA ID in our datafiles as this is identifiable information. To set up SONA autocrediting, we are following the steps here:https://www.sona-systems.com/help/qualtrics/ Basically it involves sending the ID with the URL to Qualtrics, saving the ID as embedded variable and then piping that back to SONA with the completion code (the participant then automatically receives credit in the SONA system). However, is there a way to pass the ID to Qualtrics and have it piped back without saving it in the Qualtrics data file? Thank you
