Remove question box

How do I remove a checkbox from a question? We have a question where the answer choices are:YesNoComment (text box)So, part multiple choice and part text entry, which is splitting the question. The AI response said to check the box and hit delete, but that doesn’t work. Thanks!

Email Editor Deletes Parts of HTML Code

We are migrating platforms to Qualtrics. We have an email template we copied and pasted the HTML from Medallia into Qualtrics. The code mostly works perfectly fine when running in Qualtrics. Embedded in the HTML code is logic to display a section of the footer differently than on desktop. This uses certain snippets of HTML code to function. When I paste the code into the Qualtrics email editor HTML and then save the message, it deletes certain pieces of the code that makes this functionality work. In particular it deletes this tag which is highlighted in the screenshot below: <!-->Before pasting/saving in QualtricsAfter pasting/saving in QualtricsThe editor does not tell you that this code got removed from your template after pasting and saving. The section under the tag which is a part of the email footer for mobile is now completely missing for customers viewing the email on mobile. Repeat a question to participants showing their previous responses and allow them to edit it

Hi everyone. I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to do the following and suggestions would be appreciated. Essentially, I want to have a bipolar matrix asked before respondents are subjected to some sort of treatment. The respondents would fill out the matrix like the one below choosing their responses. For this example, let’s say they simply chose the right most bubble for each statement. Then the participants would be subjected to the treatment and asked to evaluate the same bipolar matrix again. However, I would really like for them to see the responses they selected prior to being subjected to the treatment. So instead of a blank matrix to refill out, it would look like this but they would be able to select new bubbles if their opinions had changed.Is there a way to do this? I’ve been playing around with carry forward statements but it only shows the statements and I want the choices carried forward as well.

Website Survey Look & Feel - Simple layout

Since Qualtrics Simple Layout is now the recommended style for website surveys, I tried revising a current slider - 5 star question (from flat layout) and numbers appeared - a ‘1’ near the first star and a ‘5’ under the fifth star.  An ‘*’ also showed up preceding the question.  Are these additions required to meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards?  Or can these elements be removed?  Thanks!

Future Date Validation

Trying to compare entered date to embedded data date and make sure the entered date is after the embedded data date. This is being applied in a Loop and Merge block. Things are mostly working, but for some reason dates entered in 2025 are NOT being allowed, even if they should be passing the validation. Validation settings are as follows:Current loop, entered date, Matched Regex for mm/dd/yyyy: ^(0[1-9]|1[0-2])/(0[1-9]|[12]\d|3[01])/(19|20)\d{2}$ AND Current loop date entered “is greater than” embedded data date, defined at the beginning of the survey in survey flow as: ‘Plus14 = ${date://OtherDate/m%2Fd%2FY/+14%20day}’ Validation properly fails when dates are entered within 14 days of today, provided they are in 2024. Dates after 12/31/2024 also fail, but should be allowed to pass...

Append embedded data in URL to personal survey link

Is it possible to append URL parameters to a personal survey link in an email invite? I have tried 3 different ways, but each one is not making a successful link. The link breaks or is unclickable. Example of what I tried: ${l://SurveyURL}&ExampleField=${e://Field/ExampleField}  I have an intake form survey that upon submission, a workflow sends out a survey to a contact list with a personal link to each contact in the list. I want the survey link to have an embedded data field sourced from the intake form appended to each of the links so that when each of the recipients open the survey, it can use that value that was appended to the link. I don’t want to use an anonymous link because I want a reminder to go out a few days after to those that do not complete the survey. If this is not possible, I think the only other option may be to first have a workflow task that updates the all the contacts in the list to have the field set as embedded data.

Comparing time values in Display Logic

hi,Just found this NEW issue and thought I’d share it.  I have a form that is only “available” from 9 PM to 1:30 AM.  I want users that open the form during the day (between 1:30 AM and 9 PM) to see a message (text graphic question) that says it’s not available until 9 PM. SO, I used display logic after first capturing the time: ${date://CurrentTime/MT} in an embedded data field. When I compared it (we’ve been using it for a long time - years) I compared it using the following Display Logic:Display if CapturedTIME was greater than 1:30 and if CapturedTIME was less than or equal to 21:00.  But today we found that this no longer worked properly.  After some troubleshooting (the fun part), we found that the end time was working in comparison but NOT the start time (1:30).  Through trial and error we found that we have to add a leading zero to the hard-coded comparison value of 1:30.  So when we use display logic and compare to 01:30 it worked. Hope this helps others.

Repeat a block a different number of times

Hi Community,I am hoping someone can help me with my survey.I have one survey with several blocks, and only one I would like to repeat several times, and when this block has been answered completed it will continue to the following block.For this specified block, I want it to be repeated more than one, the number of times it will be depended on each participant.That is, I may have participants where this block will be repeated twice and others may be once or five times.How should I indicate the survey in this field? In my case, I should ask my clients, how our different engineers did the job. For example, if I have one participant to my survey with 2 engineers (electrician and painter), this block must be repeated one for the electrical engineer and another one for the painter, and I must also include the name of the guild.I was thinking to include a date embedded with the number. However I don’t know how I should indicate the information releated to the guild.How do I program this blo

Problem with a horizontal bar widget

Hi communityAs you can see in the attached images, for a matrix question, in the Qualtric Results tab I create a horizontal bars widget... and as you can see it displays results correctly…This is my matrix question: In the Results tab: I wanted to set up a new dashboard with the same widget:Previously I set up in the data source configuration for this matrix question, a Desgloce…The problem is that the widget does not work in my new dashboard but it does work in the Results tab...Another problem I have is that I can't add Labels to display in the horizontal bar dashboard that I built new... Thanks for helping me

Simple Layout - CSS to remove right padding

In Simple Layout, the navigation buttons are aligned to the far right of the screen, with padding added to push the “next button” far beyond the edge of questions.  This design makes centering images, e.g. a logo, impossible.  (In the attached screen shot, the html to resize the graphic is being ignored, but that’s a separate issue.) My end-goal is to remove the additional right-padding and have the navigation button align to the right, or centered. I have seen the code from user @tom_1842, but it does not seem to impact Simple Layout; various code snippets for moving the navigation buttons also seem to fail on Simple Layout..Skin .SkinInner {width: 100% !important;max-width: 100% !important;} In short, is there a way to change padding (or make the container 100% width), and a way to move the nav buttons? (I’ve looked for a Simple Layout CSS guide, but have come up empty) Screen shot example

"Sorry, an unexpected error occurred" message when i use the retake link

I shared a retake link (Both to add a new response and overwrite previous). The link opens fine, and i get to the first survey question. However, when I hit the next arrow to move on in the survey I get prompted with "Sorry, an unexpected error occurred". Can anyone help me with this?

Adding reset click to single-answer questions

Currently, if a participant selects an answer in a single-answer question, he/she can’t de-select the answer. If he/she changes his/her mind or clicked the answer by mistake and wants to not answer the question, there’s no way to remove that choice. RedCap has this capability but Qualtrics doesn’t. It would be helpful to have this feature for the next version of Qualtrics survey.

Logo alt text script not working on Simple Layout

Hi all,I’ve been adding alt text to our university logo using the script that was suggested a few years ago. Common set of questions after randomization without page break

I have 12 product options (say F1 to F12) and want to ask 4 (common) questions (say Q1 to Q4) for each of the option. How to manage new distributions and response status

I need to understand how to deal with multiple distributions for a survey.I’d sent emails for all the contacts on my directory for the first time. But now I need to send a different email (different content) for 4 samples of my directory for which I’d already created the corresponding samples. I think I will break the response status for each contact, I mean I will no longer have one unique status for each External Data Reference in my directory.My question is, how can I do to send those 4 distributions with different content each one in order to keep the unique response status for each contact id?

Collecting feedback at a conference

Hi all. Our Marketing division is hosting a conference for employees and I’m exploring options for collecting feedback during the conference. Does anyone have any experience doing this and what worked well and what didn’t? I imagine the meeting format will be keynote speakers in an auditorium (with the presentation via Teams) and breakout sessions in smaller meeting spaces (also presented via teams). I imagine there would be a mix of people bringing their laptops and joining the Teams meetings, and some that do not bring their laptops (but might have their phones). I’m wanting to consider everything, projecting QR codes, using SMS, links to a survey, etc. Thanks in advance for any ideas and feedback you have.~Leslie

Why is query string not being saved in datafile?

I am linking two qualtrics surveys together. In the first survey I set SurveyID as embedded data field: and then send that to the second survey as a querystring using the redirect URL at the end: utsau.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1yKKFZlArqzb3ZY?PrevSurveyID =${e://Field/SurveyID?format=urlencode}. That bit seems to be working, because the URL to the second survey looks something like: www.myqualtricssurvey.com?PrevSurveyID =SV_2lSOqCNoaRioUSOIn the second survey I want to store the variable ‘PrevSurveyID’ and have set it up to record at the beginning But the PrevSurveyID column is always blank in the data file :(What am I doing wrong? It’s driving me crazy. TIA

Matrix question selections as piped text

I have a matrix question that allows multiple answers. I was wondering whether it is possible to populate each selection into follow-up questions.For example, in the matrix I have rows (A, B, C, etc.) and columns (1, 2, 3, etc.). If a respondent selects A1, A2, and B3, the follow-up questions will ask opinions on A1, A2, and B3 (i.e., agree or disagree with them)The following approaches do not work for me:(1) adding branches is not feasible because the matrix question produces hundreds of possible combinations.(2) I was able to add all selected choices (selected rows in the matrix) or all selected answers (selected columns) as piped text but not their combinations (cells).(3) Similarly,  loop & merge does not work since it allows only looping over selected rows or columns. And adding piped text in additional fields is not helpful because selected choices or selected answers come in groups and individual choice/answer cannot be separated out. (4) I have tried using JavaScript to mod
