My recommendation would be to research and browse the community whenever you can. Within the posts, you'll find very specific cases and great solutions to these problems, and sometimes, without even looking for them, you'll come across answers to issues you never thought to search for in the community.
And additionally, a big thank you to all those people who help us with CSS codes or custom JavaScript; these are the ones that have been most helpful to me.
My advice for new users is to read this community religiously. Even if you don’t have immediate questions or are unable to answer the questions, reading what other people are attempting to accomplish in Qualtrics is a learning experience in itself.

@jmborzick Your comment made my day We are so glad you are a part of the XM Community!

@Juan Zapata We are thrilled to read the Community has been so helpful for you! Follow up question: Do you think there is something we could do to better highlight “issues you never thought to search for” ? Curious to know if there are UI improvements we might be able to make here. Thanks!
First, I would like to thank @Michael_Cooksey and @AlonsoC for their incredible support and dedication in managing this community. Whenever I’ve reached out, they’ve always been there to help and have resolved all my queries. Thank you both once again!
My tip to newcomers, keep exploring the platform continuously. Remember, Qualtrics is not just a survey tool, it has so much more to offer!
@Sachin Nandikol you are too kind! We are thankful for you being a part of the XM Community!
I would like to tag @everyone present in this awesome community for your crucial support 24/7. Each and every individual here is so talented; God bless you all! Newcomers, I want to say that this is the go-to place for any Qualtrics doubt you may have. While you will get immense help from the support page, the community here has solutions for every query that are beyond anyone’s imagination.
@omkarkewat We are thankful for all of your wonderful contributions to the XM Community
I would agree with most of the previous comments made suggesting to review/search the support pages and this community page for the answers/designs they seek to make good use of the platform. In addition, push yourself to think of every angle and take your time building the survey or dashboard to fit your needs. We have had to be creative in some cases but it paid off.
I would like to mention that our Enterprise Account Executive Caleb Coffman has always been supportive and engaging with us. We truly appreciate him.

@Tonya_Fulton Thank you, Tonya! I know Caleb loves working with the QT team
XM Community is my go to place whenever i have any queries/doubts on customized coding, thank you for keeping all of us involved.
My advice to new members would be to use the power of Qualtrics and its features in best possible way and showcase your stakeholders the lovely outcomes.
I am so thankful for each member on XM Community for their support and help to get resolve many task/issues. Advice to newcomers: Please don’t hesitate to ask questions because the community is full of experienced members who are happy to help. Also, share your knowledge whether you are beginner or expert, sharing your experiences and tips can be invaluable for others. :)
Thank you.
My tip is be active and participate, that is what makes this a great community and will keep it thriving!
I carve out a few minutes each week to check what people have posted where I can, and I think new members have great perspective to add - so feel free to jump in, regardless of your experience.
I personally have found helping to problem solve others questions - can grow your own skills as well using the platform, as it expands your use cases. Also just read the answers to others questions, you don’t know when that knowledge will come in handy.
I would send kudos to the top 5 XM community users. It’s not a coincidence that you are there and thank you for that !
For an advice to new users, I would recommend verifying if the topic already exists before asking the question as you might already have your answer somewhere in this big database.

I completely agree that everyone has unique knowledge to share. Others on this thread have noted how much they enjoy reading diverse use cases. It’s not only helpful, but interesting to see how others are using Qualtrics!
My advice would be to use the community to get answer to all your technical questions.
My favorite Tip/Workaround for measure groups - you can build them with a text set (no recoding needed - Qualtrics is set to only give you the choices of numeric value or number set, unfortunate) The platform used to allow textsets as an option but this year it changed and no longer allows you to add in a field that’s not a numeric value or number set! But there’s a workaround
Simply add in a new field somewhere above the measure group, set it as text set, then simply drag and drop it down into your text set, and map it in - that’s it!
I’m really thankful for @KelliPolk for her incredible knowledge and willingness to help!
My tip is to just keep searching and don’t be afraid to ask questions! Support is incredibly helpful and the Community is the best group I’ve been apart when supporting applications.
In this space of gratitude, I want to highlight my job team. I am immensely grateful for everything I’ve learned alongside you. Thank you for being so generous in sharing your knowledge and for the collaboration we have built. It’s been a journey with challenges, but we have overcome them together, and I hope it continues this way.
For those who are new to the community, I encourage you to participate and don’t hesitate to ask questions. There is a wealth of resources here that have been very helpful for me.
I am super thankful for @Heith. He and I first met on this Qualtrics community group (back in 2019 I think) and worked together on a survey. Fast forward several years...I was at a new job and we had a job opening in my office. I was delighted when Heith applied for and got the job! We went from Qualtrics Community friends to co-workers and friends in real life

I am so happy to read about this! The power of Community in action, online and off

I think my advice would be to subscribe to any topics of interest, schedule time on your calendar to visit the community and read through different posts to see how others are using the platform, how you might be able to help, or if there is something new to learn.
Completely agree with @KelliPolk - Qualtrics is so much more than a survey platform. We are always thinking outside of the box so much with how we use it that we’ve started saying we just ‘break the box” altogether!

These are all great tips We are so glad you are a part of our Community, @SteveBelgraver!
I agree with so much that has been said! I think my biggest take away is to just ask the question if you have it! It doesn’t matter how silly you feel or straightforward it “should” be, everyone is willing to help you do a quick navigation or help get down to the ins and outs of a more in-depth project.
I do typically use the support page first and save my individual questions if I’m not able to find it, but the support area really provides a robust offering!!
I also agree with looking at what other’s questions are to see what use cases and projects people are working on. It helps to expand our scope and depth of what is possible.
