Our Popular Rank & Rewards Program is Getting a Refresh!

The XM Community’s Rank & Rewards program is getting a merch refresh -- and, by popular demand, a new “store” format for Community members to select their own merch.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Pre-determined swag/merch kits associated with each level are going away
  • Members will soon have the power to choose and create their own personalized merch kits in an online store format by redeeming points for merch of your choosing
  • We will also be incorporating new merch, as well as bringing back popular previous merch offerings

New and returning items include:

  • Patagonia fleece jackets, back by popular demand
  • The famous fleece blanket we offered to members in 2022, also back by popular demand
  • XM Community trucker hats
  • Fun XM Community socks
  • An exclusive XM Community “sweatshirt” blanket
  • Waterman Paris pens
  • Brooks Brothers briefcase
  • Osprey backpack
  • Yeti Rambler
  • Stanley Tumbler
  • And more!

More good news:

We will also be joining forces with the XM Advocates rewards program -- meaning you can redeem Community points for merch being offered via the XM Advocates merch store! The XM Advocates merch program offers a huge variety of items, which means XM Community members will have even more merch to choose from outside of our exclusive Community swag.

Even more good news! You can earn BONUS points!

Now, when you receive your merch, you can earn 50 bonus points on the XM Community by posting a photo of your swag on Linkedin and mentioning the Qualtrics XM Community. Steps on how to do this will be included in the confirmation email when your merch ships. This is effective immediately, and you will also be given some prompts for your post if you need inspiration. You can all thank our new Community admin @AlonsoC for this idea!

Why these changes?

You asked, and we listened. There have been numerous requests for a “store” concept in which Community members can select their own desired rewards. Additionally, in our recent feedback requests on the merch being offered, customers impressed upon us sustainability and environmental concerns. Keeping consumption and our environment in mind, we have decided to forego certain items (eg., home movie projectors) in favor of more practical, everyday items customers can use. We also asked current and former members what merch they found most useful and desirable, and made a concerted effort to bring back former items that had been discontinued (eg., the Patagonia fleece, and the fleece blanket, as well as the Waterman Paris pens).

Are the levels changing? Or the way we earn points?

No. There will be no changes to levels, or the way members earn points. The only changes are new merch on offer, as well as a store format for customers to select their own merch.

How often can we redeem points?

As often as you like! You can redeem your points as you go for individual items, or, save your points and redeem them for several items all at once.

When will these changes go into effect?

Due to production timelines for the new merch, the new store and associated items will likely be available around October 2024. If available sooner, we will let customers know.

We are excited to be able to offer these changes, and we hope the new store format and the ability to choose your own rewards is a positive change for everyone. Questions? Ask me in the comments!

I also want to thank some specific Community members who have provided feedback to us about Rank & Rewards, both recently, as well as in the past:

@JoycaV & @ScottG (option to redeem points for what you want)

@MattiasM @MeganZich  (blankets!)

@MattiasM (nice pens!)

@Tom_1842 (Patagonia fleece is coming back!)

@pamelalbeck & @JesperAndersen & @MeganZich (Yeti Rambler!)

@Swanand_Chavan_Ugam & @Deepak  (better backpacks!)

@bstrahin (for all of the great merch feedback over the years!)

Thanks a lot team for all what you do.

This all sounds amazing!  A Patagonia fleece--you made this Wisconsin girls day! Thanks for all you do!

The fleece is coming back?! Agreed with Megan, made my day! Excited for the XM Community socks also 😀 Thank you for this!

@MeganZich and @Tom_1842 -- Happy to read you are looking forward to the fleece! It was the first item we decided to bring back. I can also add that the Patagonia fleece will be available in men’s and women’s versions (both the same color -- gray).

The XM Community socks are fun! We are excited to offer them!

The Patagonia got me 😍🔥🔥

sounds intresting, what if a level swag already received, will we be able to get new merch with same points?

sounds intresting, what if a level swag already received, will we be able to get new merch with same points?

@Aggarwal -- No, if a Community member has already reached -- for example -- Level 3; then in the new system that customer may not go to the store and use points that have already been earned and rewarded. The customer would have redeem *new* points earned after that level in the store.

But: With this new system, you will always be earning points to redeem, regardless of Level.

For example, in our current system, if you reach Level 8, that is the end of the rewards and merch. In the new system, you can reach Level 8, but still keep redeeming points earned for more rewards.

As long as you are earning points in the new system, you can continuously redeem them for rewards. There is no cap.

Please let me know if the above helps address your question. Thanks!
