A stakeholder wishes to capture a few web form fields in a Qualtrics survey. Meaning the user experience would be to interact with a standard web page (not an intercept) but that web data populates a Qualtrics project instead of being captured elsewhere. I’m guessing the best way to make this happen is from a Web Service API, but I’m fairly clueless how to communicate with the web developers on how to move forward with this. 

I want to include a thank-you coupon at the end of my survey. This would be at the end of the survey, and each coupon will be linked to a particular participant. I have a contact list ready in Qualtrics to make sure that I can authenticate the participant using their email address. How can I display a particular code to a participant once they authenticate their email? 

Hello, I want to be able to determine if someone clicks on the Qualtrics survey, but doesn't proceed with the survey. Specifically, we're thinking of sending personal Qualtrics links to all of our participants, and we'd like to be able to track when participants click on their personal link. Is it possible to do that in Qualtrics? Thank you! 

Right now, I have a survey with a multiple choice question with text entry for each question (this is so the participants can elaborate). If the participant selects ‘No,’ writes text, and then selects ‘Yes,’ reenters text, their previous text from the ‘No’ question is still present. Is there a way to ensure that text is only allowed from the one question they select and it would delete the text if they selected another choice?   

Hey, im trying to make a survey but having problems. I will describe my problem as good as possible. What I want is that when participants click on next page button they immediatly see a sentence without the last word. I want to have a button they can click so that the sentence completes itself, I would like to have it in the same place but it is okay if this doesnt work. Then I want also that the multiple choice options true and false come in the screen.  So: sentence without last word → click → last word & multiple choice answers.  Im trying my best but can’t get it to work, does anyone have any ideas to do this?

I have built a survey with over 2000 blocks which are each set with survey flow logic to be displayed relative to the RecipientEmail of the respondent the survey is sent to. Each block has a unique url for an excel file holding phone numbers that have been pasted into the first questions added to each block, a list of numbers a respondent can check options for in a side by side question, and carry forward question which is populated if a respondent would like to keep a number and provides inputs for new owners of numbers to be entered into. I was looking into piping values in from excel sheets for the questions but can’t find a reliable way to loop and add. Are building an external api or using selenium. Here are example shots of the survey - 

Hello everyone!My institution has a soon-to-be-expired subscription with Checkbox. We would like to know if there is a way to import Checkbox surveys into Qualtrics.Additionally, there seems to be an option to export the survey into JavaScript. Would I be able to import simply by modifying this JavaScript to fit the Qualtrics format? Thanks in advance

Hello all, For a study I am working on we have created two separate surveys, a baseline survey and a diary survey. In the baseline survey, we ask the participants' email addresses so we can send them the diary for the following 21 days. However, we cannot get the email automatization to work so that every participant receives a personalized link to the diary every morning. Could someone provide me with a step-to-step guide on how to set it up? Please let me know if you need any more information :)

We want to use the constant sum question with ‘bars’ or ‘sliders’ as answer type, but with bars draggable in vertical rather than horizontal direction. Is there a way to achieve this using Javascript? 

I want to run an experiment where the participants have to click on the right boxes of a matrix question in the right order. The first approach that came into my mind was to track the timestampts of each click and if (suppose that the right boxes were clicked) time_1

Hello,I’m trying to sticky the text of a question stem so that it follows you while you scroll. I’m pretty new to HTML and Javascript, so I’m not entirely sure how to do it. I’ve tried using the solution presented in this thread, but it’s giving me the error message "Invalid JavaScript! You cannot save until you fix all errors: Unexpected token ILLEGAL". I’m not sure what’s causing it, but I tried putting the '); on the same line as ('afterbegin', '. That got rid of the error, but then the code then didn’t seem to be doing anything. I also tried using custom CSS to accomplish it. This is the code I’m using:div.sticky {    position: -webkit-sticky;    position: sticky;     top: 0px;    background-color: blue;} I put <div class=”sticky”> </div> around the question in the HTML editor, and I used the background color to confirm that it was linked properly, but the rest of the CSS doesn’t seem to be working. I’d really appreciate any help with getting this to work. Hi everyone,I would like to ask you a Question about constant sums.I would like to distribute 40 points (among 4 options) in a Constant Sum.The respondents should drag the slider to the desired position.Since educationally disadvantaged groups should also be surveyed, the slider should only be movable in steps of 10. If the slider is closer to 0 than to 10, it should jump to 0. If it is closer to 10 than to 0 or to 20, it should jump to 10, etc. If it is placed exactly in the middle (5, 15, ...) it should be rounded up and jump to the higher 10 step. So the options would be 0, 10, 20, 30, 40. Optionally it would be perfect if the steps could be 0, 10, 20 and 40.I think there is a similar question already, but it is not available (anymore) - I have already informed the support of the site about it but so far the problem has not been solved.I am grateful for any tip! Hi all,I have an intercept with 3 action sets. Display Sample Rate of the intercept is 100%. Action set 1, 2, 3 sample rate is 34%, 33%, 33% respectively and the option "if not sampled, continue to next action set" is selected in all  actions sets. Will all the visitors get the intercept / see the creative? Thanks

Ok so I am new to development on Qualtrics although I have been using it for some time. Not new to JS/HTML/CSS but the below code is pretty wonky I know - trying to get this right for a reach goal of a supervisor! My question is this: Why is my height not applying? I was able to test that I am actually adjusting the CSS related to the Matrix table I am attempting to work with by changing the background-color which I was able to do. In fact I can adjust other CSS properties, but not the height. Why is this? So in one of the surveys we use we requested respondent to upload photos as part of the response. I see these photos to be named like “image.jpg”. I’d like to link them into my dashboard but I don’t quite know how to create the URL. Any documentation available for this? P.S. I looked up the solution for the library but it seems the images hosted there are from survey producers not from participants.

In the survey I’m currently working on, we have our users upload a receipt. I’d like to have that receipt in an iframe later on in the survey so they can reference it for other questions. However, when I try to set up the iframe using embedded data (<iframe src="${e://Field/receipt}"></iframe>), it loads a blank frame and opens the file twice in new tabs.Is it possible to load it in the survey itself, rather than a tab? I feel like I must be missing something obvious.

Hi All,   We are using Q_lang parameter for prepopulating the customer preference language in the url sent in the email. This is for those wanting to pin/freeze an image to the top of the screen (with a white background) so that it remains in place while the participant scrolls through survey questions. Hi, just wondering if someone can help, I have a multiple choice question and I am allowing multiple answers …Is it possible that if a user selects the “All Applications” checkbox, that all the other checkboxes (with the exception of the Other option) are ticked automatically?  

I have a simple dropdown for participants to select their year of birth. I want to create a variable under addOnPageSubmit that will give me the recoded value for this question. I can’t use var age = this.getChoiceRecodeValue(this.getSelectedChoices()); since the js has to be in a different question on the same page. Ideally, I would want something like the below var age= jQuery("#QID209 option:selected"); However, I can’t figure out how to get the recode values using this :( Any help is appreciated!

Hi! I am trying to create a multiple choice question with images in the option boxes. I have added the images using text editor to the options. However, the option boxes don't seem to reflect updates to the size of the embedded image beyond a certain point (eg., the change is reflected with image heights between 0-200; but beyond that height the changes aren't reflected). The layout of the question is horizontal placement of the option boxes.Could someone please explain this behaviour of the option boxes and how I could change it to reflect larger sizes of the images?  Thanks a lot!
