How can I use [[AdvancedFormat]] for MaxDiff questions?

Hi,I have a 4 statement MaxDiff question and I would like to import my questions using the AdvancedFormat text file as there are over 500 statements. How to get PDF Single Response Link for existing Responses

Hi,We were notified the legacy PDF response links do not work anymore and we need to use the single response link (${​srr://SingleResponseReportLink}) for viewing the response in PDF version. We are able to make this work for new responses, but how to make sure our users are still able to access PDF for existing responses that were submitted for eg: 3 months ago.

Bulk Retake as New Response

Community,I conduct both a monthly and semi-annual survey of ~100 participants. The survey is quite extensive (>~250 Questions). Our process is to send a retake as new response link to each participant so they can go through the survey, make any changes and resubmit. The expected outcome from this process is:Each respondent has a survey response per survey period (not just overwriting their previous responseEach respondent receives their previous response in order to speed the process for completing the survey.My question is this: Is there a way through either the standard email distribution channel or through workflows to automate the process? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Complex randomization for Matrix question

Hello,In my survey, I have a matrix question with 6 prompts. These are all framed in a positive way and look something like thishow much do you agree with the following statement?1) "This policy would be good for the environment."2) "This policy would be good for business."3) "This policy would be good for employees."4) "this policy would be good for investors."etc..I would like to present to respondents this matrix with 3 levels of randomization. The third and the are the ones I am struggling with.a) They should only see a random set of 3 (ot of 6) promptsb) These should be presented in random orderc) They should vary the positive/negative structure of the sentence in a random way. (e.g. This policy would not be good for the environment.)d) No prompt (regardless if it is positive or negative) should appear twice. Uneven present elements

When setting up our Qualtrics survey we did not select Evenly present elements, for our 8 conditions. As a result we have now have very unequal cell sizes, from 4 participants in 1 condition to 27 in another. We want to try and make the cell sizes even so that there is the same participants in each condition, can we do this through running more participants and selecting different counts in the edit count function? If we can do this, do we put the element count as the total we need or the amount needed to make the cells equal? Any advice gratefully received. TIATrina

Is there a way to reference completion of a previous survey for branch logic/skipping questions?

If the respondent already completed a baseline survey sent out previously, I want to skip a block. I don't see any option to do this in branch/display/skip logic.

Having each block on a separate page

Hello, I have 6 blocks of questions each with a different number of questions contained within them. I have attempted to use page brakes but this isn't working. I want to have all questions of say block 1 appear together on one page then all questions of block 2 appear together. Is there a way to do this?Regards

Insert Conjoint block with reference survey

Hello, I have a survey, in which I want to add a conjoint block (from DesignXM toolbox) using the new "insert reference survey (from library)" tool.However, I am not able to upload an entire survey with a conjoint part to the library. I can upload only the blocks (also the conjoint block).When I insert then the conjoint block in the different survey, the choice tasks show up, but the options are empty.How can this be solved?Thanks and best regards, Kati

Side-by-Side question: What is 'Answer 1' and can I remove it?

Hello everyone,I'm using a few side-by-side questions in my survey, and I'm quite happy with the set-up of them. However, one thing I cannot figure out is the heading 'Answer 1' that I see in two of the columns. It also shows on survey preview. Does this mean survey takers will also see those two headings?Is it possible to whiten these headings out or to remove them completely, so they do not show?And what are they actually referring to?Thanks so much for any light you can shed on this! XM Advanced Report Visualizations

We are having a significant issue with our report visualizations. Here is the issue: click on "report", "insert" question, adjust the visualization to meet the need for showing the data, continue to build the report by inserting visualizations. Between each page, add a "page break". The system saves and when going back to the report, some visualizations are "minimized". The user does not adjust the size of the visualizations - only the way the data is shown (so stats vs. bar chart). This has caused us significant delays and has made our process inefficient. For each time our user "fixes" the report, when they go back to it, it happens again - but to other questions. Has anyone run into this issue? If so - what is the resolution? Qualtrics has been looking into it, but without success. See the image below - there are 3 questions that minimized after having inserted those questions, adjusting the visualization to be a bar chart, and going back to the report after it saves to see this.

Dynamic Filtering for Exporting Multiple Reports at once

Hey all,I'm working on processing data from a feedback survey with over 1300 responses. I need to export a custom report for each of the 100+ people whose feedback has been gathered by the survey. Currently, I'm manually filtering and exporting the responses to PDF using the Results tab. This would normally be fine even though it's manual, but the reports take 20-25 minutes to export, and oftentimes they are missing pages. I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to export multiple reports with different filters at once?

How do I link postal codes to create a question that identifies a respondents location?

I have a list of postal codes that are the only postal codes that satisfy eligibility before entering the full survey. I have a question that asks participants to input the first three letters of their own postal codes. Is there a way to link the postal codes so that the "system" queries it and identifies where the respondent is referring to in another question. Like another question that asks "Have you lived _________ for at least 8 months of the year even if your primary residence is located outside this region?" after someone puts in their postal code or is there a simple alternative?Thank you.

Website Feedback Tab - Duplicate / Spam Answers

Recently, we started seeing duplicate responses coming through with the subsequent ones being marked as Spam. Qualtrics thinks producers are clicking on the tab multiple times, but this never happened in the past, and seems to happen frequently now. Has anyone dealt with this? What's really odd, is that the user can't even get to the tab unless they are logged into our portal. Super strange. Any tips or advice here? I can provide more details, too.

Directory Settings Blocking Surveys

Hi all, we are seeing a lot of surveys being skipped due to contact frequency rules. It's come to my attention Qualtrics has default settings - I had these two items unchecked. I also noticed our feedback tab was serving up up to 50 impressions per day that were being added to our directory contacts. My suspicion is that is what is blocking it. I turned off the link to directory for the feedback tab and loosened up these rules. Has anyone encountered this or can advise? Also, I have no idea what "number of days that need to pass before contacts can receive another message means? Do I need to check that? How can I get these surveys to deliver without getting skipped?

I have three texts that needs to be randomised - A, B and CBefore showing each text, I need to display a prompt with instructions, either - D, E or FI need to randomise such that each question has a prompt and there are no repetitions. Display Logic after DCE (Conjoint)

Dear all, I have set up a Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE) using the conjoint tool from DesignXM. The choice tasks contain an opt-out option (selection of "none of the options" possible).If respondents always choose the opt-out option I want to ask them after the DCE, why they always choose the opt-out option (general refusal/negative perception of the topic, or only too high/low price?).However, I cannot add a display logic based on the responses of the choice tasks. The questions and answers are not accessible in later questions in the survey.Does anybody have an idea, how to access the responses from the choice tasks to build a display logic based on the answers?Thanks in advance!Kati

How to carry forward choices from multiple scale points in a matrix question?

Is there a way to carry forward choices from a matrix question for multiple scale points (e.g., very important and extremely important) ? In other words, I only want to display choices for which respondents chose they were "very important" or "extremely important."

Advice requested: Audio clips not working on mobile devices and SOME browsers

Hi all,Some of our projects involve participants listening to a large array of audio clips that are set to autoplay once. I have read here (https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/664/autoplay-videos-from-files-library) that mobile devices restrict autoplay features to avoid too much data being used without owner's consent. I have experienced issues with audio clips for this particular reason, but what could a reason be for some participants also experiencing a similar issue when using different browsers on a laptop/PC?For the project we run, we advise people to use Google Chrome as we found this to be the most reliable (compared to other browsers such as Safari, Edge etc.), but some people have experienced audio issues with this too. Is it a matter of not having an updated browser, or an old device/operating system? Or is there something else that could make audio clips not fail to generate as much?Note - most of the time it works perfectly, but to optimise our projects

Using Qualtrics SMS Distributions for Research

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of Qualtrics SMS distributions for research and practices to ensure that the text messages containing the survey link are not blocked by participants' device carrier. I'm not sure if this would mean using Twilio, or if there's actions within Qualtrics or on your personal device which helps make sure messages can get through.Thanks in advance for any insight!

How to show answer choices mapped to embedded data field in default English?

In our survey we have created 2 versions of the same question because the customer wanted different wording depending on the user region in the sample file. So we have Q17.1 and Q17.2 which ask the same thing but slightly differently.To report Q17 as a whole we created an embedded data field that populated after Q17.1/Q17.2 were completed, but we are seeing that the translated text is appearing in data & analysis, so if I select option 5 "Very good" and set my embedded data field to Q17.1 selcted answers, if the respondent takes the survey in Spanish data & analysis shows "Muy bueno" rather than "Very good".How can I get the selected answers pipe in to pipe-in the answer value in the survey setup language (English)?

How to allow multiple answers within a same group of answers ?

I would like to allow respondants to select multiple anwers even within a group. I have already ticked allow multiple responses but you can only select responses that are in different groups and not within the same group. For exemple: I would like to allow to select "Bâtiment académique", "Bâtiment administratif" and "Espace Shengor".

How to get a single link to capture existing customer data such as customer ID or email address

Hello,I'm looking to create a survey link with a pre-filled authenticator and embedded data to be able to track/capture existing customer data such as a customer ID and/or an email address. I read through the links on how to create a pre-filled authenticator and include embedded data but I'm still only able to get an anonymous link. How can I get a link to then be able to share and send via a separate platform outside of qualtrics but still track existing customer data that I uploaded into the qualtrics platform?
