Displaying the embeded data information through the piped text in the email

Hi ,I am facing an issue with pre populating the embedded data into the email body. 1. I am in a requirement to send 5 embedded field values through the email body for which I have configured these 5 fields in the survey flow and also I ensured that the recipient contact information consist of the following 5 embedded field data but when I tried to send these embedded fields to the contact the 2 embedded fields are not getting  populated and I also cross verified with spell-checks as well.Basically the required 2 embedded field types are of numeric and text.Thanks in Advance

Force Response with Custom Validation

HelloCan someone help me with my problem:I have a survey, where I have to force the respondent to leave a comment if in another question he made a score of 6 or less....I did the following but it doesn't work:To the Q which is a comment, I put Force Response and added the custom validations I also tried to check Request Reply and with those custom validations, but it doesn't work either…Thanks

Dynamically updating questions based on previous answers

Hi all, I am attempting to create a survey analysing consumer choices in hypotheticals and am having some trouble with the survey design. The base idea is that participants will be able to choose three versions of a product at different prices. Each price will start out at a predetermined value, but when an option is chosen, that price increases and the others carry forward. For example: Options Q1:A for $1.50B for $2C for $2.50 An assuming the participant selected question C, then:Options Q2:A for $1.50B for $2C for $3 What I am having difficult with is figuring out how to implement this. I can of course create every possibilty as its own question and use branching paths to create a web, but this would take a large amount of time, as that would require about 250 questions. Is there a better way to do this? Perhaps there is a way to automate this increase based on the previously selected question?

Access Key

Hello,I would like to create a personalized survey for each user.A first question would collect an access key (specific to each user) and this key would give access to certain parts of the survey.The different groups of questions in the survey must be set up in advance with keys that allow access to the questions or not.Is it possible to do this on Qualtrics?Thank you

How can I embed a TikTok video in a Qualtrics survey?

I’m trying to embed a TikTok video in a Qualtrics survey.I want to embed straight from TikTok because I plan to display a large number of videos (set by some embedded data).I tried taking TikTok’s default embed text and putting it straight into the HTML field of a text field in Qualtrics.TikTok makes it really easy to embed a video, but not much customization. Zapier integration with Qualtrics is adding 00 to phone numbers -any suggestions?

I have spent months trying to resolve an issue between Zapier and Qualtrics. I have a trigger to deliver data through Zapier to Qualtrics which then triggers a workflow in Qualtrics. This works perfectly for email sends via Qualtrics.However no sms messages are being sent as somewhere in the process an extra “00” is added to the phone number. This is not in the raw data. When I contact Qualtrics support I am told its a Zapier problem, when I engage a Zapier expert I am told its a Qualtrics problem.Has anyone else experienced and resolved this issue?If not, what are the best alternatives to Zapier for transferring data without an API.I am not at all technical!

Survey flow - going back to a common block

Hello everyone!I’m preparing a survey where respondents face something like supermarket aisles, and they can go into one of them, pick up some products, and go to a second or third one if they want. I prepared something and it works, but I got a problem in the survey logic.For instance, in the situation below, respondents go to the “animal-based products” aisle, pick up products, and when they choose to go to a different aisle, sometimes it send them to AISLES CS_31_1 (where they choose which aisle they want to visit) and other times it send them to the next block out of the branch. I am not sure what is the issue, I have checked that the survey flow is correct and I’m calling the right questions, but I cannot get the “loop” over the aisles (blocks) that I want.  Have someone done something like this? I’ll appreciate any advice that you could provide. Thank you in advance!

First survey question in my signature block

I monitor an email account to which I reply multiple times per week, sometime per day.  I would like to be able to add under my signature block:How was my reply?   ✴✴✴✴✴ The client would click on one of these stars and immediately be taken to a page where they see the stars they selected, and there is a “Tell us more” option.  Then simply a Submit button.  I’ve attached a pdf showing exactly what I am trying to replicate.  I received this from a cabinet company employee with whom I was communicating.  Instructions would be much appreciated!  I have read several threads on this, and still don’t understand what I need to do.  I have created my two question survey. TIA!Susan

How do I include embedded data in an XM Directory?

I’m fairly new to Qualtrics and am trying out embedded fields. I would like to include embedded data in an XM Directory I created from a survey, but each time I try to add that (specifically, the City), the embedded data does not populate to the directory. Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips here? I am certain that I am missing some step, but I don’t know which one. I have followed the directions outlined in the attached picture to add a field to the XM Directory. Thank you for any help!!

Issue with Randomized Group Assignment

We have encountered an issue with the group assignment randomization in our survey. Our survey utilizes randomization tools to assign respondents to different treatments or groups. In one block of the survey, we included 20 questions, and hid them using Java Script. We employed Advanced Randomization to ensure that only one of these questions would be shown to each respondent, setting it to “Evenly display the questions”. We saved the code of the question that was displayed as an embedded data field to know which group respondents were assigned to (assignedGroup). Our goal was to assign respondents to different groups in an evenly distributed manner. (See screenshots below). When previewing the survey, the randomization process worked correctly, as it does now. However, once distributed, all responses we received were from respondents assigned to the same group (group 20).This survey was a direct copy from our first pilot. In the initial pilot, the randomization was structured in the s

How to change the column order of bucketed group in Results-Reports

Hi Qualtrics Community I have three Results-Reports that use the same bucketing sub-classifications. I have entered each in the same order and created in the same way in Bucketing. However, when I create Results-Reports, the bucketted columns appear in different orders in different reports. For example, Results 1 might show columns A/B/C while Results 2 might show columns B/A/C. Because I need to compare across Results, I need the columns in the same order.  Any help is greatly appreciated as I have been waiting for a week for an answer from the Customer Hub Team.

Deleting questions from an ongoing survey

I took over survey ownership for a survey that is an ongoing survey (years). The logic has been updated over time so that some of the display logic is not met and therefore the questions are no longer being showed to the respondents. The survey has like twenty questions, but about 8 of those are “no longer active” due to display logic conditions. I would like to clean up the survey on the backend so that it is not so cumbersome to look at on the back end, but I want to make sure that those responses from those to be deleted questions remain intact. What are the implications to removing those questions that are no longer active? Will previous responses stay intact? My other question is what is best practice on this - just remove the question, keep it in the trash rather than emptying the trash and “fully” deleting?

Calculate score to an insurvey block

Hi all,I am running some surveys & assessments and have a task I’d like to perform. I would like if I could calculate a scores (average in one case, sum in another) for numerous items in a survey I have created.I would prefer if these could be displayed ‘in survey’ in a block after the questions have been answers (so answer Qs 1-14 and get a sum total of 1-14 scores, answer Qs 15-30 and get an average score from these). I would then want to display the calculated in-survey to the respondent rather than at the end in a separate text box, block, etc... Is this possible?I have a feeling it is and I have my scores all input to the survey but I’m struggling to get this part of the project across the line and I’m at a bit of a loss how to continue. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Can't access library or graphics

I cannot access my library. I am working on a free account, and on a project that has been shared with me from a paid account. I have uploaded several graphics through the rich content editor, and can see them in the questions and also in the survey preview. However,  when I look in my library, none of these graphics appear. When i look at the location of the graphics in the rich content editor it says they are located in My Library: Aideen Watters. The owner of the account that shared the project with me also cannot see these graphics in their library. I also cannot access my library from within this project, the three lines that are normally visible at the top left corner do not appear.

How to get updated on "License usage" regularly

Good day, everyone! It’s been a while since I last posted.I’m currently the Brand Admin for multiple brands, each running numerous autonomous surveys. Managing these and overseeing project usage and health is taking up a significant portion of my day.Does anyone have any smart solutions for generating comprehensive reports for the entire brand? Carry Forward Loop & Merge Dropdown Choices

I have a very long dropdown list in a loop.  The number of loops is defined by a user-entered value. I would like the dropdown selection from each loop to be presented to the user after the loop is complete (to act as a confirmation of their selections).How do I carry forward the values and create this confirmation list of selections?Thanks!

Matrix text box to small

I need the text entry boxes on my matrix question to be longer so participants can see what they typed in. I already selected the 'Long' option and it is still not long enough. I have tried using Java Script to code something but so far it has not worked.I have also tried some java script coding and reaching out to qualtrics support with no solution.

Force Response with Custom Validation

I have a Matrix Table of three Likert 0-10 rating questions. In the same block I have a text box question. I want to Force response to the text box only when they give any of the above questions a score of 7 or lower. I am trying to use custom validation on the text box but it’s not working for me. Validation: Force ResponseValidation Type: Custom Validation I have only set up one of the three questions. I will need to repeat the below for the other 2 questions once I figure it out. I have a custom error message set up.Is what I am trying possible. What do I need to do? Thank you!

Translating advanced reports

Hello, is it possible to translate entered text in the advanced report such as descriptions or titles? When changing the text on the pages, the changed text appears in all language versions, only the language of the survey elements is changing (e.g. questions and answers). However, I want to have the full report in the selected language incl. Descriptions and titles, as it is possible in the dashboard.

Authenticator/Retake link setup

Hi everyone,I feel like this must be possible, but I’ve yet to find a working solution. I need the following behavior, using an anonymous link:authenticate via Google OAuth SSO, capture email address:  if a respondent is taking the survey for the first time and their email address is not in the associated contact list: collect response trigger workflow after submission to add info to the associated contact list if a respondent is taking the survey again and the captured email address is found in the associated contact list: authenticator recognizes that they’re in the associated contact list end of survey element redirects to a retake link, using their previous response ID update info in the associated contact list The new user flow seems to be pretty straightforward, but I can’t seem to get the redirect → retake process to work properly for returning respondents.  Any help would be appreciated!

Error with large survey
