Is it possible to append URL parameters to a personal survey link in an email invite? I have tried 3 different ways, but each one is not making a successful link. The link breaks or is unclickable. Example of what I tried: ${l://SurveyURL}&ExampleField=${e://Field/ExampleField}  I have an intake form survey that upon submission, a workflow sends out a survey to a contact list with a personal link to each contact in the list. I want the survey link to have an embedded data field sourced from the intake form appended to each of the links so that when each of the recipients open the survey, it can use that value that was appended to the link. I don’t want to use an anonymous link because I want a reminder to go out a few days after to those that do not complete the survey. If this is not possible, I think the only other option may be to first have a workflow task that updates the all the contacts in the list to have the field set as embedded data.

Hi Community,I am hoping someone can help me with my survey.I have one survey with several blocks, and only one I would like to repeat several times, and when this block has been answered completed it will continue to the following block.For this specified block, I want it to be repeated more than one, the number of times it will be depended on each participant.That is, I may have participants where this block will be repeated twice and others may be once or five times.How should I indicate the survey in this field? In my case, I should ask my clients, how our different engineers did the job. For example, if I have one participant to my survey with 2 engineers (electrician and painter), this block must be repeated one for the electrical engineer and another one for the painter, and I must also include the name of the guild.I was thinking to include a date embedded with the number. However I don’t know how I should indicate the information releated to the guild.How do I program this blo

I am working on a survey and want to use the Offline App. I read under troubleshooting that "Some accounts have difficulty logging in due to the number of surveys in the account. If your account has over 100 surveys, you are at risk. You’ll typically see an error message stating, ‘API Error: We were unable to retrieve data from our servers. Please ensure that you have a good internet connection and correct account permissions.’ To mitigate this issue, many organizations create ‘Offline User’ accounts that are used strictly for offline surveys. By collaborating the surveys to these accounts, they can easily be used to collect responses that filter into the original account.”Does anyone have experience setting up one of these “Offline User” accounts? Hi communityAs you can see in the attached images, for a matrix question, in the Qualtric Results tab I create a horizontal bars widget... and as you can see it displays results correctly…This is my matrix question: In the Results tab: I wanted to set up a new dashboard with the same widget:Previously I set up in the data source configuration for this matrix question, a Desgloce…The problem is that the widget does not work in my new dashboard but it does work in the Results tab...Another problem I have is that I can't add Labels to display in the horizontal bar dashboard that I built new... Thanks for helping me

Hi community,I’m fairly new to Qualtrics and am wanting to set a word limit of 300 words on the piped text.I have piped text from all answers to 4 questions (which don’t need a word limit in themselves), but the overall length of these combined answers must not exceed 300 words.Could you please help?Thank you! 

In Simple Layout, the navigation buttons are aligned to the far right of the screen, with padding added to push the “next button” far beyond the edge of questions.  This design makes centering images, e.g. a logo, impossible.  (In the attached screen shot, the html to resize the graphic is being ignored, but that’s a separate issue.) My end-goal is to remove the additional right-padding and have the navigation button align to the right, or centered. I have seen the code from user @tom_1842, but it does not seem to impact Simple Layout; various code snippets for moving the navigation buttons also seem to fail on Simple Layout..Skin .SkinInner {width: 100% !important;max-width: 100% !important;} In short, is there a way to change padding (or make the container 100% width), and a way to move the nav buttons? (I’ve looked for a Simple Layout CSS guide, but have come up empty) Screen shot example 

Hi all!I would like to build a widget where I can see the average amount of days after delivery which specific issues are occurring in my product. I have questions asking “what is your issue” and every survey tracks “days since delivery”. Wondering how I can put these together to see an average- anyone have an idea?Thanks!

I shared a retake link (Both to add a new response and overwrite previous). The link opens fine, and i get to the first survey question. However, when I hit the next arrow to move on in the survey I get prompted with "Sorry, an unexpected error occurred". Can anyone help me with this?

Currently, if a participant selects an answer in a single-answer question, he/she can’t de-select the answer. If he/she changes his/her mind or clicked the answer by mistake and wants to not answer the question, there’s no way to remove that choice. RedCap has this capability but Qualtrics doesn’t. It would be helpful to have this feature for the next version of Qualtrics survey.

I am trying to replicate the above form. I believe using a matrix table makes the most sense, but I’m unsure of how to include formulas and dropdowns in options.Is this possible?

Hi all,I’ve been adding alt text to our university logo using the script that was suggested a few years ago. So far it has been working great, but I just realized that it doesn’t work on the Dynamic theme with the Simple layout (which is supposed to be the most accessible option).The code I usually use in the Look and Feel > General > Footer source code is:<script>document.querySelector ('#Logo > img').alt = "add your alt text here"</script>Any idea why this might not be working in the Simple layout?Thanks in advance.Pam

I'm looking for the ability to display the contacts that hard bounced/soft bounced and the reason why they hard/soft bounced in the dashboard. Is it possible?

I have 12 product options (say F1 to F12) and want to ask 4 (common) questions (say Q1 to Q4) for each of the option. I have a survey question with a list of 5000+ global airport names and codes. The question type is a "multiple choice" + "select box", which enabled me to paste all 5000+ response options. By default, Qualtrics makes this list searchable *but only by the first word*. With airport names, people often don't refer to it by its full name or don't know the full name. For example, if you're flying out of Washington's Reagan airport, it would be listed as "Reagan...." but you might try to search for it by "Washington". Is there a way to make it searchable by any word in the response choice, not just the first word? Thanks in advance!

I need to understand how to deal with multiple distributions for a survey.I’d sent emails for all the contacts on my directory for the first time. But now I need to send a different email (different content) for 4 samples of my directory for which I’d already created the corresponding samples. I think I will break the response status for each contact, I mean I will no longer have one unique status for each External Data Reference in my directory.My question is, how can I do to send those 4 distributions with different content each one in order to keep the unique response status for each contact id?

Hi all. Our Marketing division is hosting a conference for employees and I’m exploring options for collecting feedback during the conference. Does anyone have any experience doing this and what worked well and what didn’t? I imagine the meeting format will be keynote speakers in an auditorium (with the presentation via Teams) and breakout sessions in smaller meeting spaces (also presented via teams). I imagine there would be a mix of people bringing their laptops and joining the Teams meetings, and some that do not bring their laptops (but might have their phones). I’m wanting to consider everything, projecting QR codes, using SMS, links to a survey, etc. Thanks in advance for any ideas and feedback you have.~Leslie 

Is it possible for a user to update a submitted response in a survey ?User opens the survey, enters details, submits the survey.  They want to be able to go back to the submitted record and update some of the information.  

I am linking two qualtrics surveys together. In the first survey I set SurveyID as embedded data field: and then send that to the second survey as a querystring using the redirect URL at the end: utsau.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1yKKFZlArqzb3ZY?PrevSurveyID =${e://Field/SurveyID?format=urlencode}. That bit seems to be working, because the URL to the second survey looks something like: www.myqualtricssurvey.com?PrevSurveyID =SV_2lSOqCNoaRioUSOIn the second survey I want to store the variable ‘PrevSurveyID’ and have set it up to record at the beginning But the PrevSurveyID column is always blank in the data file :(What am I doing wrong? It’s driving me crazy. TIA

Hello!We have an automatic process that creates users with an API so we don’t have to create them manually. But on top of creating the users, we need to add them to a role so only some specific users can have access to a custom directory. We already have the rol and so far we ave done that role enrollment manually. Is it possible to do that process automatically? like automatically adding specific user types to the role? or maybe another step on the API.Thanks!

I have a matrix question that allows multiple answers. I was wondering whether it is possible to populate each selection into follow-up questions.For example, in the matrix I have rows (A, B, C, etc.) and columns (1, 2, 3, etc.). If a respondent selects A1, A2, and B3, the follow-up questions will ask opinions on A1, A2, and B3 (i.e., agree or disagree with them)The following approaches do not work for me:(1) adding branches is not feasible because the matrix question produces hundreds of possible combinations.(2) I was able to add all selected choices (selected rows in the matrix) or all selected answers (selected columns) as piped text but not their combinations (cells).(3) Similarly,  loop & merge does not work since it allows only looping over selected rows or columns. And adding piped text in additional fields is not helpful because selected choices or selected answers come in groups and individual choice/answer cannot be separated out. (4) I have tried using JavaScript to mod

The simple layout suits the style I would like to use for a survey. However the auto focus option is not available for the simple layout. Do anyone have a suggestion how to solve that or have a custom code for that? Thanks in advance!

I have a dataset that I have imported as a contact list into my survey. There is a string variable called “tool_list”, which is a comma separated list of tools for each recipient of the survey. For example, the value of tool_list could be “tool A, tool B, tool C, tool D” or “tool A, tool E”, etc. I want to use custom javascript to split the string, and then create multiple choice options for a question based on the new strings. For example, if a person had the tool_list “tool A, tool B, tool X, tool Z”, I want them to see a survey question with the multiple choice options a) tool A b) tool B c) tool X d) tool Z. They should be able to select as many options as they would like to. One thing that complicates this task is that the length of the lists varies person to person. Thank you for any comments or ideas!! :)
