we run about 21 different courses on Brightspace. I’d like to set up one survey that will offer up different blocks of questions depending upon which course they’ve just completed.we either embed the Qualtrics at the end of the course or could automate a link to be sent.whilst we could of course ask what course they’ve just done, I am wondering if the distribution link can be used as a proxy for that information.ie multiple distribtion links that go to the same survey, but the link itself sets some of the survey parameters?currently we have one survey for each course, which is a complete pain! difficult to know where to start- any pointers appredciated :)

Hi, I made a simple worlde game within Qualtrics. Question 1: When I preview the game part by click preview within the block, it looks as expected, but when I preview the whole survey, it lost all the interactions.Question 2: after the game, i created a button to proceed participants to finish the survey questions. this time it is the opposite: full preview looks fine but block preview does not work...

How do I restrict so that whole numbers only and not decimals are allowed?  I thought entering 0 in Max Decimals under validation would work, but apparently not. Also, in other form fields where I have custom validation I cannot ALSO add validation to require a whole number, or at least it doesn’t seem like I can.  Seems like I am limited to one set of validation logic?  We have logic to require a value greater than that answered in a prior question and there isn’t a way to add a content validation on top of that.

I want to show a survey to a certain segment of my audience where each member of that segment has a customer id number. I want to capture that customer id number (CID) so that I can personally respond to the clients who answer the survey in a certain way. Do I add the Embedded Data capture as a block in the survey flow? Or should I add it as part of the Action Set in the Intercept?

I recently added a new embedded data field to a survey in use. I checked my dataset to make sure I have this included. I added a column in my data and analysis tab for the “wellrive branch” as shown here but it does not seem to be pulling this into the results. How can I fix this? 

Has anyone connected Qualtrics and Canvas successfully? If so - how? What are you doing with it? Was your solution easy to set up or did it require a lot of support from IT?We are looking in to connecting Qualtrics and Canvas to be able to control access and pass name/email between the two applications. It's a pretty simple use case, overall, but we don't know how to connect them.Searching this forum, it seems all existing discussions are years old, homebrew code, or posted by the folks that created the branded Drieam integration (which possibly is fantastic but I can't find any discussion one way or another).Any information anyone can share would be really helpful. Hello, Sorry I am a noob and am in tears.I’d like the option to end the survey as soon as the volunteer selects an answer deeming them ineldigble to participant in the study (to avoid wasting their time further).I thought I followed the instructions but it’s not working - When I test, i get to that question and rather than ending the survey it continues to the next question :(Do I need to have all questions as an individual block???  What am I missing?Please help 🙏🙏 

Hi there, I am having a good amount of trouble trying to set up randomization without replacement on a survey. I have six conditions, and I need every participant to be in two, but to not go through the first one twice. I know this could be completed under one randomizer, but I need every participant to answer the same question block after completing the first condition, so they have to come out of the randomizer to complete that.I know that people have asked questions related to this in the past, and I have read those question threads and tried to implement the solutions, and although it looks like it is set up correctly, I am running into problems. Currently, it seems as though it is working, in that my test run-throughs have not been giving me the same condition twice. However, the embedded data columns are printing out empty in the exported data, and the flow IDs (which I require) are all messed up, leading me to believe something must be wrong. I need access to either the flow IDs

Is there any question to import that is a calendar that allows date selection for up to a certain number of days?I'd need people to be able to select up to but no more than 6 questions.I checked the import question from library option and then I searched for Calendar but those options didn't look like a calendar (see screenshot)This is for an EE project if that matters. HiI have 10 interviewers conducting interviews with participants. Participants are asked to complete a survey on an iPad. Once the survey is completed, they receive a token of appreciation.However, there are occasions where the survey is incomplete due to various reasons, but participants may still claim that they have finished it. To avoid this, interviewers prefer to verify the completion status before handing out the token.While the "Survey Completed" message at the end helps, there's no way to confirm completion if the participant closes the browser tab. Additionally, the online shared report has limitations because it does not support filtering by Respondent ID, which makes it difficult to check individual completion statuses efficiently.I wish to seek some possible solutions from the community please as the interviewers do not have Qualtrics accounts but need to check the survey completion status in real time. Thank youBY

I want to send a file at the end of every day that contains all the completed survey responses. The issue is my IT department won’t allow for sftp so I need some out of the box solution. I know I can send individual emails in a workflow with the survey response, but I don’t want people to be getting emails all day long. Is there a way to “batch” send the emails (either send a bunch of individual emails at once, OR preferably have it contain all the responses from that day). I’ve also been thinking about making a data table on a dashboard or report and exporting it that way. Open to any ideas!

Hello, I added a field to my XM directory contact list called WellRive Branch. I then went into my data set and added this as a field and added it as embedded data to my survey. I am trying to add display logic based on the WellRive Branch but when I get to the value there is nothing there. What am I doing wrong? 

I have two surveys, one for patients and one for doctors. The doctors fill out their survey after the patients and they are linked using a randomly generated ID in the patient survey. Once a patient completes the survey, the doctor is automatically emailed a link to their survey that contains the relevant login ID.Most of the time, the link works and automatically goes to the correct linked survey. Occasionally, there will be a “Unable to log in with the information provided” error. I am trying to make a survey more user-friendly by having numbers users input show up as currency.Therefore, instead of 100000, it should appear U$ 100,000.Most of the solutions I have found or obtained can make the number change. However, they seem to struggle with Qualtrics internal validation/requirement mechanisms. JavaScript solutions that mask the number will end up having Qualtrics not recognize that the response has been entered. Likewise, number validations will not work even with masking.Does anyone have a solution that:Converts a raw typed number into currency; Lets Qualtrics recognize a response has been entered; Allows for validation (or at least only lets numbers be inputted) Starts from “,00”?

I have found several threads on mouse overs, but most of them are +5 years old, so I’m wondering if the provided solutions are still uptodate or if anything has changed in the meantime. What I want to do is:I have question text. when hovering over certain phrases of the question text, I want a tool tip to appear. The solution needs to work on desktop as well as mobile devices. Hi! I want to track if participants took part in a survey with their mobile device / a tablet / a desktop computer. I know I can add a hidden question with browser meta info. However, this tracks the user agent and other stuff, but isn’t aggregated in the way described above. So my question is how can I aggregate such info to get this broader info? I know from other platforms (like Decipher) that they automatically probvide this aggregated info. Is this also available on Qualtrics or is there maybe a matching list of browser user agents to devices?

I’m not sure if I’ve explained this as well as I could with the title … First we have our simple quota based on the country embedded data field, e.g. 50 respondents from UK (straightforward) But then in the survey we ask them about interactions with different groups: so 1 respondent might interact with X number of people from Y groups. So after completing the survey we might have: 1 UK responsethat covered3 people in Group A10 people in Group B2 people in Group C In addition to restricting UK responses to 50, can we also restrict UK-Group A to 80 people, UK-Group B to 150 people, etc (values are just for example)? So when a new survey session commences, I want to be able to check the complete dataset and see the current sum for the Group A embedded data field and check it is less than 80, and once it reaches 80 close the quota? And for extra complexity, can this work as a “least fill” ? Thanks!

I’m trying to design a balanced within-subjects design using embedded data, but I’m struggling to make my design work.  Here’s a description of my study:IV1: Label type scenarios (Three labels: green, red, blue )  IV2: Target type scenarios (Nine targets: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I) Each target is paired with each label: so i have Target red A, blue A, green A.Here’s a description of what I want my design to look like: each participant should see all 9 targets each participant should see each target once only (e.g., the target is a square. if they see the red square, they shouldn’t see the green or blue square) each participant should see three “green label”, three “red label”, and three “blue label” scenarios. for example: a participants might see the scenarios in this order: green A, blue B, red C, green D,  blue E, red F, blue G, green H, red I. In this example, there are  3 greens, 3 blues, 3 reds, but each letter appears once.my current embedded data looks something like this:red_c

Hi, I have a side by side question set up where there are 2 columns (one with 4 multi-select options and one with a text entry). Is there a way to validate one row as if it’s a single question and force respondent to select/type a response? Like if a respondent selected any of the first 4 options, the respondent is not required to type anything in the text field and vice versa.   

I need assistance in displaying the anchor labels from the screenshot above on a single line—for example, 'Very Good'—instead of splitting them across two lines, such as 'Very' on one line and 'Good' on the next.

I have mouse overs /hovers in my survey in a) question texts and b) response options. Now, for some of these, the mouseover/tooltip text itself should be based on meta data of my particpants. E.g. assume I’m doing an engagement survey and participants’ metadata has a data field called “business_unit” that stores, well, the business unit of each employee. Now, I sometimes have question texts or response options like “How do you rate your business unit?” or “My business unit is XYZ”. Hey everyone!I need to do a pilot test of my survey for my research. I am aware that when I import into SPSS Qualtrics separates between the preview answers and the ones which occured post survey activation. As I want to just test some things on my survey and I have no room for deleting active responses afterwards, I need to distribute it on preview to a short number of people for them to try it. But as I generate a link, everyone needs to sign in or log in to try it. If you know anyway to counter this, I would deeply appreciate it!Thanks a lot.
