Hi, this is a rather complicated coding question and would really appreciated it if someone can help!Are we able to insert multiple piped texts in a single statement, followed up 2 drop downs? For example:In Q1, the respondents is asked to select which product(s) they purchased from each company options and for whom they have purchased for, using a matrix table like belowIn Q2, we wish to pipe in the texts as follows: [Company chosen], [Product chosen], [For whom] - dropdown 1, drop down 2; for example: Company A, Product A , For yourself - [drop down choices 1] , [drop down choices 2]Can we achieve the abovementioned? Hello all!In our proyect we created a personalized HTML message for participants when they want to unsuscribe the panel. The thing is, we need a link to unsubscribe directly from the directory, not from the list. I know in this process, first you unsubscribe from the list and then there is an option to unsubcribe from de Directory. What we need is at first unsubscribe from de DirectoryIs there a way to put a opt-out link to unsuscribe directly from de directory? 

Hi,I've uploaded my contact list in the XM Directory. Each respondent has a language code attached. Unfortunately I have to use a 3rd party email service for sending out the invitations, so the plan is to download the CSV file including the personal links to the survey.1) I figured out that those personal links do already direct the respondent to the correct language-version of the survey. Is that correct?2) Since I'm using a 3rd party email service, I have to send out the invitations in the correct language, too. But unfortunately my exported CSV file doesn't include the language code. Is there a way to include the language code in the export?Thanks!Manfred

I have a survey sent to list of ~ 1000 people. Now I need to send a reminder email because the response rate's very low. How do I create contact list of people who have not responded to that list of 1000?

In the tutorial on Creating Mailing Lists, the first thing it it says is Navigate to your Directories. But no Directories icon shows up. Other folders / icons show up, but not Directories

I am wanting to use the Qualtrics standard field, External Data Reference, to store a unique ID outside of the email address. In the contact directory, the field name appears as External data reference (lower case d an r). In the survey data exports, the field name appears as External Data Reference (upper case D and R). What is the correct field name?Also, the data source used to provide the distribution file does not permit spaces in column names. So that we can avoid from having to manually adjust the file name before we load it up, is there an API field name anyone is aware of for External data reference (such as ExternalDataReference or External_Data_Reference)?Thanks!

Hi all, It is now time for us to fulfil our Privacy policies and remove contacts from XM Directory based on retention policy rules. And here is a showstopper... I cannot search for the contacts in the XM Directory based on created and/or modified date for the time period starting earlier than 12 months ago 😯 I can search max Created/Last modified before October 26, 2020. Like whaaaat?How do I search for those created before e.g. January 1, 2019? Example, I need to search for contacts created before January 1, 2019 and delete those of them last modified before June 1, 2019. How do I do that?

Hello. You used to be able to search contacts in the directory by whether or not they were invited to and/or completed a specific survey. It doesn't appear that option is available in the advanced filter in the new directory's UI. Am I missing something?Thanks,Leslie

For example, we have multiple emails for some of our customers/contacts. But as far as reminders, Qualtrics seems to only accept one email per contact. I have a survey that a parent receives when his/her student registers for our internship program. I capture the parent phone # in the survey, and would like to add that to their contact information. I tried using an Action at the end of the survey with the "Add to XM Directory" task. I added the embedded data field to the "Phone Number (optional)" cell and chose "Save or update embedded data". While this works with other pieces of embedded data, it does not seem to work with the Phone Number field?

How do I alphabetize a list that's been uploaded? There has to be an easy way to alphabetize by a column, but I can't find it.

Should I map my data different for the funnel distribution if the distribution comes from Sales forces? This is the process and I would like to see de data in the funnel distribution. Here is the description of the Salesforce process:1. A service case is created in SF and the trigger for Qualtrics is generatedNew messages2. A distribution list is generated in Q3. The contact with contact data, embedded data and transactional data is added to the distribution list in Q4. Distribution is created in Q5. The survey links are obtained from Q and taken to SF6. The survey is sent from SF7. Client answers the survey8. Q brings the Client's NPS to SFAnd when I go to the Directory is collecting all the data... What should I do?Thanks!

Hello, I've been trying to create a pair of linked surveys using the guide here. Everything goes as expected, until I get to step 26, where I need to click save. Save is grayed out for me, and the red circle with a line through it when I mouseover. I've tried with a new contact list, and an existing contact list. I'm probably missing something obvious, but I can't seem to get past it. Thanks, Mark

Problem: We send a transactional to clients that recently had an insurance claim close. Some claims get reopened, then closed again several months later. In this scenario, the client will get a survey twice for the same claim. We currently have a contact frequency rule that limits clients from receiving the same claim survey more than once in a year. However, if a client has multiple claims throughout the year, we only send a survey on the first one and miss out on feedback from the others. Is there a way to set a contact frequncy rule so a client would only receive ONE survey for a specific claim number?Thanks,Leslie

Hi there,I am hoping to design a survey strategy to measure overall user satisfaction of my product (a website). I am planning to design 3 surveys in Qualtrics to measure NPS of my users and I plan to distribute these surveys within the website.My goal is to sample 1-2 users for this survey per day. I have two questions relating to this:Is there a way to set a rule in Qualtrics so that after 2 users have completed a certain survey, no other individuals will be sampled that day? (e.g., after 2 people complete the NPS survey on a given day, it will stop asking others to complete it?)Is there a way to set a rule that an individual will not be sampled more than once in a month? (e.g., If a user completes the NPS survey, they will not be sampled for any of the three surveys for 6 months)Many thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,We want to limit the surveys sent by a specific number of surveys per an agent in the call center, in order to make sure we cover all agents in the post-transactional surveys. For example: we have 1000 agents in the call center handling support calls. We keep in the XM directory per each customer who was the agent handling the support call. The maximun number of surveys per agent will be 100 a month. Once this number is achieved, the customers that were handeld by this agent won't get anymore surveys.is that possible?

Hi,We're using the Salesforce AccountContactRelation object to create a many-to-many relationship so a given Contact (intended survey recipient) can have multiple roles on various Accounts they may be involved with. Is it possible to mimic that with the B2B Account Client Roles object in the XM Directory? The instructions make it seem like the roles can only be loaded from a Contact file or feed, which would then seem to point to having only one Qualtrics Role record per Contact. Ideally, I'd like to be able to load the Account Client Roles from an Account file or feed, like this:(Account.Id implied)contactExternalReferenceId (choose Salesforce field from Account)roleName(multiple copies of the above 2 lines, to map Qualtrics Account Client Roles to particular fields on the Account object which would contain Contact IDs).The ultimate goal would be to survey users in Role A from some subset of accounts on Monday, and then survey users in Roles B and C on some other set of accounts on

Is there a solution to modify a contact data (the language) for all my recordings as can be done for an embedded data?if I'm not mistaken, not natively on the platform, but maybe with the API?

We are utilizing Qualtrics to run a certification exam and we want to give test takers 1 retake of the exam if they fail within 30 days. I'd like to automate this process using an action (if below XX score, send new exam 3 days later), to save on having to go in and reschedule. If I use an action only, each time the taker fails, it will resend the exam. I was looking at Directory Settings to see if I could use that. However, there does not appear to be an option to set it to a specific days, only calendar months - which I could set to no more than 2 message per month. But, if the exam taker fails the exam on June 25th, and retakes on June 30th and fails again, it would potentially resend on July 3rd.Is it possible somewhere else? Or through some other means?

Has anyone noticed a recent uptick in bounced emails from recipients with Apple domains (icloud.com, mac.com, and me.com)? Over the last month or so, they've gone from being no more numerous than any other domain in my hard bounces to making up at least 90% of them. The diagnostic messages all say "smtp; 550 5.1.1 : user lookup success but no user record found --[code].qemailserver.com". Just curious to know what is happening, and if Qualtrics is aware.

We recently determined that we would like to track which Directory contacts are members of a specific service we offer (so that we can contact them about it). We add new contacts using a survey, so I have updated that and added an embedded data field which means that anyone who joins our Directory moving forward will have this information. I would like to also add this information for existing contacts. If I send them a survey including just the new questions, is it possible to update their existing Directory embedded data? Or is there another way I can update their profiles? (note: I don't actually know the info and will need to collect it from users so I can't just go in by hand and update them right now.)

Dear community,We will be conducting an experiment that will consist of several phases on one day and will have two repeated sessions. We use an experiment identifier of the form "MT0906" to uniquely identify participants. Participants create these identifiers themselves, based on their name and date of birth. However, there is a risk that participants enter their participant identification incorrectly. Is there any way in Qualtrics to check whether a new text input has already been entered in a different survey or some database (where we could upload the responses)?Thank you very much in advance! I have created a mailing list by importing the list from excel. It did not import the information in the same sorting order as I had on the excel sheet. How can I now sort the information in Qualtrics XM Directory contact list?

We have a contact import automation that runs daily and it takes sometimes more than 4 hours (usually at least 3) for the import to finish. The file size is well under the limit (around 25MB and more than 200K contacts) and I am wondering if there is anything that can be done to decrease the time it takes to finish the import?

Hello everyone, We have a respondent pool which we will distribute surveys occasionally. We want to count the number of surveys each respondent attended to so that we can send them a thank you e-mail when their total number of responses reaches certain points (10 and 20). I guess we need to be creating an an e-mail trigger or action based on an embedded data field. Which is created as "TotalResponseCount" when contacts are imported from a .csv file to XM Directory. I am trying to update this field at the end of each survey by using math operations. I add a screenshot below showing the Survey Flow I am working on to count the total survey responses.But this operation does not seem to work. The data field stays the same after I complete the survey several times with the same credentials. What am I doing wrong? Is there a better way to do what I am describing here?I am relatively new to contact management so I would appreciate any help for completing this taskThanks!
