Dear all, I have just started designing a questionnaire in qualtrics using javascript. I am trying to capture consumers weekly basket food shopping. However, I am a bit lost as the responses are not being registered. I am afraid I am doing something worng with the way I am adding the question.  I am explaining the approach for one food category, bakery. My approach has been this:  1.  I created a question for each product category (ex. bakery, fruit. Dear all,I have created a short JavaScript code that randomises some parts of the text shown to my respondents in a specific question. The randomization works fine but I am just struggling to understand why the mobile survey preview shows different information compared to the computer survey preview for the same question during a test. I always thought that the mobile version is supposed to present the exact same information/text as the computer version but just in a different format/view. I am attaching a screenshot to help visualise the issue. What am I missing? Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Hi everyone! I’m currently working on an emailing for our first questionnaire (we will call it “Questionnaire 1”).As it’s very important to our company, we would like to free ourselves of the standard Qualtrics unsubscribing link (to avoid the displaying of the Qualtrics logo to our final clients). In this purpose :I “hid” the standard Qualtrics unsubscription link in the email, so that it is no longer visible to customersI created a specific Unsubscribtion questionnaire (with the brand of our company, that we will call Questionnaire 2) + associated a workflow that automatically opt-out the clients from my Contact list that confirm the unsubscribtion in this  questionnaire.I added the link of my “Questionnaire 1” with the following tag :${l://SurveyLink?d=Take the Survey}I wanted to add the “Questionnaire 2” in the same invitation email but I don’t know how to insert the individualized link of my questionnaire in my email.Do you have any solution to this problem? Many thanks in advance

Hi folks, I have a use case, where we have one multiple choice question and 5 answer choices. (Answer choices are - yes, no, inconsistent, snooze, not applicable)If someone selects a “snooze” button answer choice then the survey taker should not be able to submit the survey until and unless the survey taker changes the answer choice from snooze to something from the remaining 4 answer choices i.e., yes, no, inconsistent and not applicable. Is there a way to achieve this in Qualtrics via JavaScript or any out of the box functionality? Please guide !

Hi All,I’m not a coder so am having some difficulty getting the following code to work. I’ve commented the code to try to identify what I’m trying to accomplish. A quick description is as follows: This is a drilldown question type.The first two options are user and user email. When the user selects their name I want Qualtrics to automatically display the email associated with their name.The third option is a selection of timeslots. When the user selects the displayed Date/Time, I want the fourth and fifth options to display the data automatically. Howdy!I have been using the same code for several years on a drilldown question to make the first dropdown field read-only based on a previous question selection but it has recently stopped working.So, for example, someone selects Art History on a previous dropdown question:Then the drilldown later in the survey populates that value into the first field:The population of the Department field has continued to work fine, however the following code has stopped working to disable the field so it cannot be changed:(it can loop up to 3 times, which is why there is the loop code included):Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function(){    jQuery("#QR\\~1\\_QID14\\~1").attr("disabled", true);    jQuery("#QR\\~2\\_QID14\\~1").attr("disabled", true);    jQuery("#QR\\~3\\_QID14\\~1").attr("disabled", true);    });    This code no longer makes the first drilldown field disabled/read-only. Hi thereI much prefer the ranking option in ‘Pick, Group, Rank’ as it is more likely (IMO) to encourage respondents to give a faithful ranking of choices than the other ranking options available in Qualtrics.  The challenge is the inability to pipe the response (usually the choice ranked first) into a follow up question such as ‘Why did you choose [Item ranked first] as your most preferred flavour?I have looked around the help files and the community (and also discussed with Qualtrics support) but I can’t find a way to identify which item was ranked first.Can anyone please help me?Thanks in advance.

At the end of the survey, I want to my survey to redirect my user to a new website but I want that site to open in a new tab. Ideally, I would do this through the redirect in an end of survey block, but if there is a way to do it in an end of survey message, that would work too.However, if I use the end of survey message, I want the link to automatically redirect them after a few seconds; I don’t want the user to have to click the link.  Thoughts? 

Upon completion of our annual engagement survey, we would like to send an email with a single question that allows employees to indicate whether they would like to participate in a focus group or not.Can this be done using the Post Survey Thank You with a link to a second one question survey, preferably allowing the participant to click Yes/No in the email without that survey opening?EDIT: Found the support doc showing how to use the Timing question for the immediate submit. But there’s no icon in the Thank You message for inserting the survey question.  If I paste the html code from the core Survey project type message would that work?

Hi, I am working a 10 question survey. 5 questions show up in their individual pages. The next 4 questions show up all together in one page. Then I have the last page with EOS. When we get to page 6, where all 4 questions are displayed, the progress bar shows as 50%. Which is correct, but I would like to customise it so that it would display the progress bar at roughly 80%. I can get away with just a visual edit and not any truly calculated field. Any ideas how I can do it?

I have a Likert drag-and-drop question on Qualtrics, with 2 statements and 2 choices.I need the statements displayed on the right side of the answer boxes (The survey is in Hebrew), and the answer boxes to be horizontal instead of vertical.Is there a Code that can help me do so? Thank you! This is what it looks like now  And this is what I want it to look like 

I have a question about the way clock time entries are displaying in Preview if you might be so kind to help me if you can. When I preview just the question, it shows the start and end time entry fields with the dropdown .   However, when I preview the entire survey (as opposed to just the question), it will not show any time options, just blank boxes that you can type into.  I am not sure if this is because there is a loop and merge connected to the block for recurring entries (which is necessary for my survey)…? Any advice on any of this would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello! I have searched and uncovered some information that I can't make work (Flatpickr?).The situation is that I need to ask employees about start and end time availability outside of regular shift hours. So they need to be able to say, "I'm available from x time to y time" for each weekday as needed. I have constructed this with text entry boxes - doable but annoying. I've tried a drill down (didn't work out) and played with sliders but the times have to be specific (15 minute increments).I am going to need a step by step guide if we are involving JS. I've found the Flatpickr information but the steps presented don't work. Anything I put in 'Source' view ends up text in a question box. I don't know JS well enough to figure things out when they break significantly.I am hoping to put in two dropdowns, one for start time, one for end time but I can't figure out how to make that happen in one question.Thanks for your ideas!

I am asking a question where every line needs to have a textbox. I have the code to make a textbox show up next to the choice text instead of below it, but that only works for one question. Does anyone know how to make this work when you have multiple textboxes? This is how I want it to look: ! This is how it is coming out: ! Hello everyone, I'm working in a multiple choice question. There is a "others" choice at the end with an additional text entry field. I would like to know if it is possible to move the text entry field next to the "others" button, so that it's in one line. Many thanks in advance for your help! !

I am running into an odd issue. I am using JavaScript to hide the Next button until someone interacts with the question and the validation check is met. This is being used on constant sum questions. The script works fine (see script below), however, if there are two or more constant sum questions in sequence, although with a page break between each question, the script won’t automatically disable the Next button for all subsequent questions. Interestingly, the button will become disabled when someone interacts with the subsequent questions but the issue is that if someone does not interact with the question at all and chooses to hit the Next button, they will be able to skip that question.I was trying to figure out what the issues was, and to make things weirder (and clearer at the same time), the issue persists only if the questions with the JavaScript I described are in consecutive pages. Can a ranking question be created in engagement surveys, as there's no existing ranking question type? The desired question requires drag and drop functionality to rank options, and display the rankings.
