We received an export from Qualtrics with the topics that were implemented in XM Discover. The goal is to use these topics in our regular project Text iQ. However, I am concerned that this file may not be formatted in a way that will yield positive results in Text iQ. We can’t export topics from XM Discover as a JSON file. You can only export CSV or XML. We tried converting this to JSON and importing it but didn’t work which I believe is due to the fact that the format is completely different. I would really appreciate if someone can help here. Thank you!

Hi everyone,I have a question I'm looking to predict customer churn using StatIQ instead of PredictIQ, as our current subscription tier doesn’t include access to PredictIQ.My initial thought was to convert the churn variable into a numeric format and apply regression. However, churn prediction often becomes a classification problem, and as far as I know, StatIQ doesn’t support classification models with a predict function.Has anyone found a workaround or solution for using StatIQ to predict customer churn in this case?Any suggestions or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

I don’t seem to be able to include the parent topics in the Text IQ table when I include “Relative Importance” column.As soon as I add “Relative Importance” column, the “Hide parent topics” checkbox is automatically checked and greyed out. How can I include parent topics in the table?

Hello! I am trying to find a way to analyze my coded data (textIQ) by gender.I used Qualtrics for my doctoral research and I want to know if Qualtrics has a way to allow me to use the statistics features with my added codes. I have 4 open-response items, which I successfully coded them using the textIQ feature. Using the statsIQ feature nearly reaches my goal; I have a beautiful description of code frequency. For example it shows that 25% mentioned motivation, 19% mentioned competency, and so on. My goal is to disaggregate these codes by gender, but I do not see a way that I can create a stats chart that does codes by gender. With my other survey items that used a likert scale (agree, disagree, etc) I can use crosstabs IQ very easily to create a table that shows frequency of responses by gender. When I try to do the same with codes, (gender v. each code) The table shows up with the correct labels but the data simply says “not supported” Can you help me to find a way to get a table? I a

Hi Community,We currently use TextIQ to analyse our surveys and have recently reworked our Queries attached to each Parent and Child Topic in our Library.Obviously this will require ongoing work where the system has a % of free text comments that remain unrecognised by the platform.My ask is as follows:Would anyone be happy to share their process for manually categorising their comments and in turn improving their topic queries to increase the success of future responses being captured by TextIQ without intervention. Thanks,Glenn

Hi everyone,I'm working with Text iQ in Qualtrics to analyze open-ended responses from a survey conducted in Vietnamese. I’ve gone through the www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/data-and-analysis-module/text-iq/text-iq-best-practices/#CreatingTopics, but I find it too high-level and not detailed enough, especially when it comes to non-English surveys.The guidelines mostly explain what topics are and general best practices, but there’s little to no mention of how people actually go about creating topics for non-English responses. Also, pre-built topics and recommended topics don’t apply well—or at all—to my Vietnamese data. This makes it difficult to rely on any automation.So I’d love to hear from the community: How do you approach creating and organizing topics effectively, especially when the language isn’t well-supported by default? Is there any way to pull  a variable created in StatsIQ to Results/Reports tab?

Dear all,  We did some action planning in Qualtrics in 2023 and we ended up with people entering too many actions plans, on different questions of the survey or categories. This time we were thinking if we could limit the number of questions on which users can create action plans. Like if we have 50 questions in the survey, can we limit that people see in the list just lets say 10 questions that they can create an action plan for? This way it could be more quality and not just quantity. Any tips are welcomed.  Many thanks Livia B 

Stats IQ/Crosstabs is a separate environment that requires to import the data from Qualtrics survey. This is done automatically for the first time you open Stats IQ/Crosstabs. The most issues comes with some error in synchronizing or importing the data.Here are some common asked questions that come together with this issue: No data to analyze in Crosstabs/StatsiQ Data counts in Crosstabs/StatsiQ and Data & Analysis not matching An error occurred, preventing us from loading your data. There is an easy fix to most of those issues and its called “reindexing the survey”. Making a small insignificant change in you data will force the platform to synchronize the data again.Add additional embedded data:Go to the survey flow of your survey. At any place, add additional embedded data. Hit “Apply”.Please note: Adding additional embedded data will not influence the data you collected. I use Qualtrics surveys during class time with 300-400 students.  I like to present summary statistics in realtime using STATSiQSTATSIQ can be very slow to load, it can say "preparing your dataset for analysis" and warn me that it can take up to 20 min.  It never takes that long, but it can be too long (e.g. 10 min)Is there anyway to speed this up?ps. I noticed getting the data ready for export can also be slow.

If you do a regression in stats IQ and conduct a relative weights analysis, and then use the exact same data and IV/DV in a driver widget in a CX dashboard, would not the % on the Y axis for each driver be the same as in the regression output for relative weights?  In other words, if I have IVs A,B and C and use them to regress DV “D”, and they have these values:A = 50%B = 25%C = 25%Shouldn’t they have those same values for the Y axis in the driver widget?  

Hi,I have two longitudinal surveys.I have done the setup of the two surveys like described on https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/common-use-cases-rc/pulling-data-into-a-second-survey-longitudinal-surveys/So I have two datasets, both containing the field “Login ID” by which the two surveys can be matched.Is it possible, and if so how, to run Stats iQ on both surveys, using that Login ID to relate the answers to eachother.So for example, in Survey 1, I have the field Login ID and the question “how satisfied are you with A”.And in Survey 2, I have the field Login ID and the question “how satisfied are you with B”.I want to know if there is a correlation between A and B. I used a mock dataset, where I purposely had the answers on A and B that belong to the same Login ID be similar, so I know that there should be a correlation shown on this mock dataset. We have just received Microsoft PowerBI as an enterprise visualization tool and I've been exploring the use cases. It's easy to connect flat files downloaded from Qualtrics, but I'm wondering if there are better ways of creating connections that can be automatically or manually refreshed. It looks like the only available web connector in Qualtrics is for Tableau. I've seen documentation that suggests using the API, but are there any other approaches (particularly for non-coders like me)? Thanks in advance!

I’m looking to compare results from 2-3 surveys (deployed annually) using crosstabs (in order to run stats testing). Any ideas on how I can do this? I do not need to track by respondent. 

I have data I in an Imported Data project I want to review with Text iQ. Text iQ only sorts by recorded date and when I import my CSV multiple rows will have the same recorded date and time so the order is not maintained when I look at text iq. I don’t have access to API, is there a way to import that will cause each row to have it’s own recorded time? Is there a way with an extract workflow if I go from one data project to another? I have a custom field in the file that indicates order.

Is there a way to edit/remove saved filters in the StatsIQ workspace? Many times our team just wants to change a single variable or an aspect of a saved filter, but this creates a completely new filter which has resulted in an ever growing list of saved filters. Thanks!

Hello!I am having some issues with Text IQ and hoping someone has an answer.Can someone help me understand - should Text IQ use the topics I have created to automatically tag all responses with those words in the data set? Here’s what I have done so far:I have created a series of topics and sub topics, some based on the qualtrics recommendations (which have 70+ responses within them) I have manually tagged about 200 out of 1400 responses Hit review and publish Only the manually coded responses appear Am I missing a step here?Or does the tool not automatically code the data and its all manual? Thanks,Tim
