Hi everyone!I was able to share a survey with a group after following the guide on https://api.qualtrics.com/370e5e93bbebd-share-surveyHowever, there are still some unchecked permissions after a successful request even though I've set all listed properties in the document with "true".I had tried to add "viewSurveys: true" to everywhere of request payload but nothing has worked so far.How can fill up all the permission for my group, especially the "View Survey" one?FYI:1. HI All,After fixing a workflow (webservice issue) I now have hundreds of responses that would normally be processed at the time of the survey response being completed. Please could someone provide some guidance as to how I can invoke this survey workflow but without changing the recorded time as we use this to chart.I have ticked the 'responses updated via the Qualtrics API' which seems to work when I manually retake the respondents survey (but of course that route updates the recorded time).this is my workflow with the survey response setting showing I have a method to do API calls through an excel VBA script I've written but that was for Tickets so I can adapt it but I could do with some guidance on how best to invoke a change that the above task will then pickup and regard as an update.ThanksRod Pestell

Hi All,By way of writing this email I think I have resolved it. The engineers have now changed it so that you don't need to escape the double quotes in the JSON This was a standard webservice task from with a Survey Response workflow which gave this error. "name": "The task is configured incorrectly. Review the task’s configuration then try again.", "message": "{\\"meta\\":{\\"httpStatus\\":\\"400 - Bad Request\\",\\"error\\":{\\"errorMessage\\":\\"'embeddedData' must be a JSON object.\\",\\"errorCode\\":\\"JRP_6\\"},\\"requestId\\":\\"xxx\\"}}", "needRetry": falseThis is the flow where the code task works fine (but funnily enough the run history says the email tasks worked fine but I never get the email!! lol (anyway, that's not the issue here as such - it's the webservice task)This was my setupI tried the trick of changing the Body JSON label to Plain Text and than changing the Content-Type manually to application/json but that doesn't help - it reverts back to JSON it seems anyw

I was trying to find the latest API documentation on pulling response data. I found https://api.qualtrics.com/0493d73c20e86-legacy-import-responsesIt saysThis API is in the process of being deprecated. It will continue to be available. The preferred API is Start Response ImportI the 'Start Response Import' does not appear anywhere in the API docs and the URL to it does not work (https://api.qualtrics.com/responseImportsExports.json/paths/~1surveys~1%7BsurveyId%7D~1import-responses/post).Does anyone know where to find the new response API calls? Hey all,Have a question regarding datatypes in qualtrics. I have a field in qualtrics that has validation set to content type and number with a minimum value above zero and a maximum value below 10000000. This data field eventually has a workflow that sends it to salesforce, but salesforce rejects any value that has a comma in it (e.g., 100,000). Is there a way to maintain the data validation in qualtrics, drop the comma, and just send the numeric value in the JSON?

Hello, I am using this API exactly as written but when I use it the resulting distribution comes out like this:There was 1 contact with a phone number in the mailing list which mailingID I listed in the API, yet it didn't seem to be recognized.Right now we have phone numbers listed in "Embedded Column A" which is easy enough to pick and choose using a distribution created through the UI, but because we want to schedule many distributions we wish to use API. Has anyone else experienced this issue with getting the API to recognize where the phone numbers (with extension number) are listed within the mailing list? Thanks!

I am building a small server that converts html files to pdfs and then sends a download link to qualtrics where I am able to use custom js from within my survey to click the link which then automatically downloads the pdf to a respondent's machine. I would like to upload the pdf from my server to the respondent's data, but can not find a method or API possibility for doing this. I've tried using the route below to send my pdf and am getting a 200 but there is no file there. If I can successfully upload a pdf file to a respondent's data my goal is to then have a workflow setup that sends a link to the pdf which is stored on Qualtrics to the respondent, which I know is possible from tests with upload questions. I've searched extensively through the API and can't find a method for uploading a pdf file to specific response. There isn't a method I could find for uploading a pdf using the libraries or files methods either. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.@app.route('/upload', methods

Hi,I want to make a survey where one of the questions will have variable fields that will be set differently for each target user. For example, user A may see:1. Do you know ?while user B will see:1. We're using iOS SDK. And tried the following versions.2.9.12.9.02.8.0All of the versions have the memory leak issue. The issue blocking us to use the SDK.We use call the api below that passes a view controller for presenting from. After user close our view controller and the vc should be deallocated. But Qualtrics SDK still holds the instance of the VC. Is it possible to define the dashboard data access of a user when it was created via Qualtrics API? The scenario is, the CRM tool will trigger an API request to Qualtrics to create a new user. In the JSON payload, it is defined by a specific field what data access this user should have when viewing the dashboard and this should happen automatically.Currently, defining user data access is a manual process. Considering we are handling lots of users, it would be very beneficial to have this kind of functionality.

When exporting results via the API, there is no information in the results to indicate which version the results are based upon. This leads to a situation that if the survey has been edited (and even not published) on the platform, the exported results would not reflect the actual survey that was presented to the respondent. This is obviously an issue for data integrity,The export results API method (and even the on platform one) needs to either export the survey structure based on the most recently published survey (why would anyone want to export results based on an unpublished survey?) or at the very least include a paramter in the query to specify the version id to base the export on.

Hello,I don't have a lot of experience with APIs, but (with help from Qualtrics Support) I was able to successfully use the Import Survey API (under Surveys CRUD API in Qualtrics API documentation). The API created a copy of an existing survey in one user's account (X-COPY-DESTINATION-OWNER). What I would like to do is use the API to create a copy of a survey in thousands of user accounts.In other words, how do I get an API call to repeat or code it to continue running call after call? Can anyone point me to some resources on coding API calls if they are not designed for bulk use? Or is there a trick to formatting multiple user IDs in the X-COPY-DESTINATION-OWNER field?

The use case is if I am using an oauth authenticated web service workflow task and I want to be able to automate the rotation of the client id and secret by updating the credentials in the workflow.

How do you remove a reminder message from a survey? I added a reminder but now I don't need it. If I select the cancel and delete distribution option linked to the reminder, will it delete the distribution for the initial survey or only for the scheduled reminder?

Hi all —From what I can tell, generating survey links for individual contacts isn't supported (yet) — the target needs to be a list. Our use case is going to require on-demand surveys. I can easily see us just creating mailing lists containing a single contact each time we need to generate a link, but before we go down that road I'd like to know if we're going to hit some kind of upper limit on the number of mailing lists. We could easily hit 10-20k+ within a year. I could also see us creating lists on demand, generating the link, and then deleting the contact list, though I don't know if that would effectively break the link. A third approach would be to garbage collect old lists once the survey results come back.Please let us know how you'd recommend we implement this.Thanks,Ryan

I have a set of pictures that I need survey participants to rate. For each picture, I have multiple survey questions to get the picture ratings, which ideally should have a fixed order. For simplicity, I have organized each picture and the corresponding questions in a separate block.These pictures can be grouped into 5 categories, e.g. cats, dogs, horses, mice, and birds. For each category, I have 40 pictures, so let's say I have a set of pictures called [cat1, cat2, ...,cat40, dog1, dog2, ..,dog40,..].
