, I am trying to implement a Python scrip to download surveys results from Qualtrics, this scrip is suggested by Qualtrics as a resource we can use in combination with Qualtrics API, I already has API active on my account. The problem I am facing is that after execute the scrip, I am getting this error:  ConnectionError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='sjc1.qualtrics.com', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /API/v3/surveys/SV_ctMa8njdl3Wn3Q9/export-responses/ (Caused by NewConnectionError(': Failed to establish a new connection: [WinError 10061] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it',))Any idea what I can do?Thanks in advance.

Hey there community. Riddle me this. I am a brand admin. I am wanting to use the API to retrieve the IDs of the contact/mailing lists in another user's account. Everyone in my organization is under the same directory / pool ID. I can't seem to find a way get mailinglistID's for any lists outside those in my own account - that's all the current "list mailing lists" command seems to do. (https://api.qualtrics.com/dd83f1535056c-list-mailing-lists) All I see is my own stuff.Does anyone know how I can use the API to get the mailinglistIDs for lists in accounts other than my own? Or is this a hole in the API functionality?When I asked support, all the techs would suggest was to "use the List Users API and then get the API token for each of those users and list through the lists of all of those users." ... I don't follow. If I have an account's API token, how can I get "the (contact/mailing) lists" of that user?

Does anyone have experience at a university using an API to move data from a survey/form into BANNER (erp) system? We want to use Qualtrics for our graduate application. (I'm not in IT and am not familiar with how API's work, so basic info to start with would be most helpful).

Hi.Step 1I want to create a base survey (with an appended Unique ID - UID) such that when a participant opens it in a web browser, it checks if the UID in the URL already exists.Step 2If the UID already exists it then it randomly picks one of three possible subsequent surveys to run (e.g. A, B or C) that have not yet been completed.In order for this to work I need to have a way to store the UID and whether survey A, B or C has been completed. so my logic is this:When the base survey is first run, I check if data for that UID exists. If it does then all subsequent answers update that file.If it does exist, randomly select survey A, B or C. For each survey, there will be a corresponding var indicating whether that survey has been done (e.g. varA, varB or varC). Loop through each one until a non-complete survey has been found and then quit when that survey is done (marking the corresponding var as complete). If it does not exist, then simply randomly pick on the 3 surveys to run. I know h

HelloI have been uploading responses for a drop down menu survey question. I tried mapping the response to Choice 1, Choice 2 etc. This did not work. Then I tried just uploading and this uploaded fine but I still see the choices as Choice 1, Choice 2 etc. The names are not showing up.Is there a reason this is happening?Thank you for your help!

We are currently building an API connection to the Qualtrics API, and looking to implement an event listener. We switched to the new GitHub qualtrics-digital-ios-sdk and integrated it with SPM as described, but it don't work as described by the Readme.md. The reason we found: the sdk still do not support arm64 (= M1 processor architecture). After more than one year M1 architecture is available - completely unexpected!As a workaround you might switch whole Xcode to rosetta compatibility mode, but in our case it slows down our build times by 60sec. So it is no option for us. Please also note that every new MacBook is an M1 now, so every developer face that issue sooner or later.Please fix this!BTW: Currently it is not possible to add issues at GitHub. Please fix this too.

Hi there, we use react-native-qualtrics to build our enterprise app, and we noticed that the package does not ship with support for iOS Simulator ARM builds, which basically means that if we want to run our app on Mas with M1+ chipsets we cannot build for the simulator, we are limited to only building on real devices, which not all our employees or contracts have access to. This is a major problem and basically means that we will always have to run our app under Rosetta which is significantly slower for development and for our build server. Please help!!

Hi all, I'm currently trying to import ~10k survey responses (from the same survey) into Google Sheets (using =importdata). I have two issues I'm trying to work through (#1 being the priority issue): 1. Define an embedded data field as a parameter in the URL. For example, if I have an embedded data field called 'Group' that has values A-Z, I would like to add '&Group=D' to only pull responses where Group = D. Is this possible? 2. Remove some embedded data fields from the initial API pull. I know I can use Google Scripts to do this securely (I'll end up using scripts to manipulate the data anyway), but was wondering if I could limit which embedded data fields before initially pulling in the survey responses. I'm only using ~20% of the embedded data fields, so it would help with how many rows I could import. I'm only able to bring in ~1500 responses before the =importdata function in google sheets tells me the dataset is too large. I need to eventually filter by this Group field anywa

Hello kind people,I'm trying to find a way to download the delta responses by using the continuation option. Below is the cURL that I use. I can run it successfully and get the result if I choose to download it in the "csv" format. However, when I use the below command line, with data format as "json", I get the "httpStatus: 400 - Bad Request" error. I need to have the data in the json file instead of the csv. Long story short, I can use the command line below to download the csv file but NOT the json file. I've been using the red hat shell command to download the responses. However, the survey is getting big and taking a long time to process. I was just wondering if I can download only the delta responses using some sort of filter.

We have an API download of our data in csv format, which gives us links to pages where uploaded pdfs can be viewed. Is it possible to just download the User Submitted Files through API, instead of manually through the GUI in Data & Analysis/Export & Import/Export Data/User Submitted Files? Thanks for your help!

Hey,I'm trying to disable the "Next" button for one of the questions in my survey, so that I can later re-enable it once a condition is met.This usually does the job:Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){ this.disableNextButton();});Unfortunately, when a timing question is included in the same page (i.e. no page break between the question and the timing question). Disabling the next button doesn't work. However, the timing question must be in the same page in order to time and count the clicks for the regular question ...I also tried:Using jQuery to disable the button, i.e. jQuery('#NextButton').attr('disabled', true)Adding the disable code to the Javascript of the Timing question.but to no avail ...Any help would be appreciated. Hi everybody!I am new to using the Qualtrics API and already managed to duplicate surveys and activate them. Now I want to share them with a user group. With the information given in the API documentation, I was able to do so in principle, but all of the individual permissions (Edit Survey, Translate Survey, Copy Survey Questions, Set Survey Options, ...) are unchecked. How do I check them using the API? More specifically, what do I have to include in the body/payload of the API call?As a side question: Is the API documentation really working correctly? I looked up the "[POST] Share Survey" documentation but only found a very generic "permissions" line under [Docs | Body] and a couple of lines that look like placeholders ("property1", "property2") under [Try It | Body | Raw]. How can I find the correct names for all permissions? My company has our own web portal that we'd like to integrate Qualtrics data into. Each of our customers is independent and have their own Qualtrics account. Trying to see how I can allow each of them to connect to their Qualtrics account through our portal. I've looked at Oauth2 and Access token and both seem to be focusing on credentials for the one account and accessing its Qualtrics data. Is this correct? And is there a way to allow different customers to login through Oauth2 (or similar) and connect with their own data?Other companies offer Apps that would allow something like what we need. Not sure how to do this here.Thanks!

Hi guys,We've successfully created a distribution for a mailing list via the API, and have unique links for each contact in the mailing list. However, when we check the UI, the distribution isn't anywhere to be found? But when we make an api call with the distribution ID, the distribution and links are returned - can anyone help me understand why I can't see it?Also, when I open and complete a survey link, the status hasn't changed from 'email sent', can anyone help me with this too?Cheers,

We're seeing periodic comment response failures on a couple of our surveys ever since we updated our comment response format from single line to essay text box. We've determined that the failure might be caused by some respondents using the Return key in their comments; when they do this, it appears to insert " /n " which may be causing the workflow to fail. Is there any means of preventing and/or correcting this issue in Qualtrics? Thank you!
