Variable names in Checkbox questions

I can't figure out how to get the variable names set for Checkbox questions. I have set the variable names like in the image below. But when the data is downloaded I get RACE_1 with the label "ethwhite." Is there a way to get the variables to actually have the names set for them (what I have circled in the image below).

What is the strength of the encryption used by Qualtrics?

For our survey, we are required to have at least 128-bit encryption. Although Qualtrics provides ample information on security, I could not verify the strength. Thank you!

Is it possible to visualize the results of a block at the end of the survey?

I wonder wether there is a possibility to visualize the result of a block to the participant at the end of the survey (diagram)? So that the participant can immediately see where he/she stands after completing the survey. We want that to be shown automatically to every participant at the surveys end.Thank you for your help!

Is there a maximum number of branches in branch logic?

Hi,We are looking at a survey which will have a subset of questions at the end, determined by embedded data.If there were two or three subsets, I'd use branch logic without hesitation. However this could be pushing 100 different blocks. This will be cumbersome in the survey flow GUI, but other than that is there a reason not to do it?Thanks!

Automatic message delay - 60, 90 or 120 days from creation date

Hi everyone, We're attempting to schedule a message from 90 days from the contact creation date. The current message delay only allows up to 28 days or 'custom'. I'm unable to use custom, as the custom requires a date rather than a set amount of time from creation/transaction. Is there any solution to automatically schedule a message 90 days after the event without the creation of a new event or list?For context, we're running API's to a list as a result of a transaction. From here we're using triggers to distribute survey invitations. We're aiming to test a post service service survey for either 90 or 120 days post service delivery to ensure our customers are 'back on track'. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Is there a way to allow commenting on survey previews?

I'd like to send a survey preview to some colleagues but allow them to "mark it up" to request edits. I've used this feature in SurveyMonkey but am not aware of anything like this in Qualtrics and haven't been able to find anything from searching.If it's not a feature, I'll submit it as a product idea, but I wanted to run it past the community first. Also appreciate any clever alternatives you might have. I know the survey can be exported for mark up, but there's really nothing that can replace the experience of actually clicking through the survey.

Survey Platform library, how do we get the temp demographic question updated?

I'm seeing a few instances where the great Qualtrics library questions are becoming out of date, but there is no clear way to have Qualtrics update them? For example, Demographics Section, Country list dropdown - does not reflect global currently economy. It's doesn't include countries such as Taiwan and Kosovo and has others duplicated, such as Republic of Korea and South Korea... Shouldn't these be kept up to date?

How to best address some questions in a survey?

Hi,I have built a survey and would like to learn few tricks to improve it. Please see the questions below.How to calculate age using the Date of Birth and survey-taking-date automatically and include in the output. I need age info as it will be used to convert raw scores into standardized scores against normative data. If I can automatize that, I don't need to ask DOB and age as separate items to reduce redundancy.How to insert the "save and finish later" button on each page? Since the survey is lengthy, giving an option of coming back later to finish will be convenient for the participants. Although the survey correctly restarts where it was left off, an explicit cue is required. I can include it in the instruction at the beginning, but that won't be an efficient solution and may run the risk of forgetting or overlooking.How do I remove "Powered by Qualtrics" or move it down so that there is a lesser probability of participants accidentally touching/clicking it.Thanks!Regards,Ashwini

How to restrict survey responses within Company/Division/Department/Location levels

Hi Experts,I'd like to check if any of you have come across this scenario on how to restrict the access of survey responses within a Company/Division/Department/Location level.To add more background to my question, business has multiple Divisions & locations with admins assigned, for ex:Division A with Location XYZ has a admin and must only see responses within his division & locationDivision B with Location ABC has a admin and must only see response within his division & location.what I see is that we cannot restrict the Data & Analysis access for all these admins based on participants division or location wise. Instead we either disable the Data & Analysis tab or you grant them with all data access, or may be I might be wrong here. Apparently filtering option is not the solution we are looking for, instead we want to restrict them at a permission level. Is there any way that we can achieve this? Using a external survey

Hello all,I am new the qualtrics and I am liking a great deal about it but I have a problem. I have legacy surveys that cannot transition all at once. Looks like I could deploy an external link with panelist id appended. I cannot see a way of letting qualtircs know that it is complete. Example would be Surveygizmo survey. I have a link that i add ContactId to and post from Qulatrics. SurveyGizmo has webhook that i can send to let qulatrics know that the survey is completed for certain people. I do not know the format or where the information is to create this webhook. The purpose for this would so I can send reminders to those that have not completed. If anyone has tried this it would be helpful to know or know where i can read about it. Thanks for your timeBrendan

Disabling Back Button on Conjoint Analysis - or Enable specific block

Hi everyone, I am currently building a survey which has a Conjoint Analysis function as one of the blocks (in the middle) with regular survey blocks before and after. I am trying to disable the go back button (PreviousButton) just for the Conjoint Analysis block but cannot seem to do this unless I disable the Back Button option from the entire survey (using the Survey Option tab). I saw many posts where members have suggested to disable back button on specific blocks using JS, but in my case this is not an option as the Conjoint Analysis block will still have the back button option enabled. The Conjoint Analysis block also does not have a JS editor function. I was wondering if there was a reverse method to "enable" back button for specific blocks (while deselecting the back button option from the survey option tab)? This would allow the Conjoint Analysis back button to remain disabled while other specific block enabled with the back button. Any creative solutions is also recommended an

Email reminders

Hello,I have a survey that is setup to email an "approver" the link to the survey where they will finish the rest of the survey and then submit it. We're having an issue where the "approver" is not responding to the email in a timely manner. is there a way to set something up where a reminder email is sent out to have the "approver" respond to the email, or to just have the email sent again? Best Practices with Samples

I have a question about the best way to distribute a survey. I have a survey that I plan to distribute to 500 of our recent graduates. I have already loaded this contact list in but I would like some reminders to be specific to their academic departments. Would it make sense to create samples of the list based on the embedded data of their academic department condition? Or do I need to create separate contact lists outside of Qualtrics for the various departments? Is there any reason not to use samples in this instance? Can I send the whole group the intro email and then reminders to the different samples?Thanks for the help! Julie

How to prevent Duplicates? Ballot Box Stuffing?

Hello,I would like to conduct a large survey among our customers.In order to reach as many customers as possible, I would like to use different recruitment channels (newsletter, website, social media). Since it can happen that one customer is contacted via several channels and I do not want that customers participate more than once (there will be a lottery at the enf), I need to detect duplicates. Through Qualtrics this is possible via "Ballot Box Stuffing".Is it true that Ballot Box Stuffing only checks the browser cookies and not the IP address?Are there any other possibilities to prevent duplicates? I don't see unique links as a possibility because of the different recruitment channels. Thanks!Maria

Respondents unable to change responses to matrix questions on mobile

I have several 7-point bipolar matrix questions in my survey. When taking the survey on mobile, which most of my respondents will probably do, they are unable to change their responses after they choose a value. As soon as they click on something, the accordion for that question closes and cannot be reopened. There's no such problem when taking the survey on the computer - responses can be changed until the respondent moves on to the next page.I feel there must be an obvious solution to this that I'm not seeing, like a setting that I've got wrong, but I've been trying to solve this for days and am getting nowhere! Any help deeply appreciated.

How to view graph of amount of selected choices for multiple choice question?

Hello,I recently completed data collection on a survey, and I would like to know how many answer choices users selected for a question of mine with 50+ choices. I realize we can display the amount of choices users have selected to the users themselves by using piped text ${q://QIDX/SelectedChoicesCount}, but I would like to know how I can get this data on a bar graph whose X-axis is amount of choices selected and the Y-axis is the amount of people that selected that amount of choices. Question Limit

Hello! This may have been asked before and answered, however I have searched and could not find the answer. What is the limit to how many questions you can have on a survey. I know it's not best practice to have too many however, I'm curious if there is a limit. We are creating a test and I've only been told it could be "lengthy". I"m trying to be proactive and find out if there is a limit. If you can answer, I appreciate your help! Thanks.
