Hello all,I’m trying to add a constant sum type column into a side-by-side question. I’ve tried using code from various posts on this forum and amending it to my needs, but I’m yet to be successful. Would really appreciate some help! I have a four column side-by-side question. I would like the very bottom row to show the total sum of the far right column. I created a survey which I have been collecting responses for, but in the Results and Data & Analysis sections, only data for a few of the survey questions is shown, out of order, and some of them have “unexpected error occurred”. I think maybe this might be happening because I published the survey, had someone fill out a response to test it out, deleted that response, then made some changes before republishing and sending out link for my current respondents. But I’m not sure how to fix this problem and be able to see the data for all of my survey questions.

Hi Community!I write a Javascript to present a web page of a simulated social media, and capture participants engagement of that web page(comment, share, like….). Everything works well (we ran a successful version in prolific before), but after some twist in the style of the survey, there is an error pop up when click the next page. I am importing a data set via Response Import Automation which includes a field Initials. I have a CX dashboard widget that displays the count of responses entered by “Initials”. In my EX directory I have metadata for those employees which includes their initials. I would like the dashboard to display the Name of the employee where the two initials match.   Example: My initials are SH. I log 34 interactions with my initials. The data set is imported. If you look at my contact in the EX directory I have a metadata value SH. Since the two initials match I would like the widget to display Sandra Hasty 34. Currently it is displaying SH from the data set. The survey is a CX project based on operational data.

Images within my emails are not showing for customers using Gmail. Has anyone experienced this? 

Hi all.I am building a survey and want to test a specific question in different locations to see if the question position in the survey influences the results.So I want 50% of respondents to see the question at the start of the survey and the other 50% to see the question at the end of the survey.Is this possible? Has anyone done something like this?I can just send the survey out to 50% of the sample with the question at the top. Reposition the question at the bottom and then send it out to the other 50% of the sample. But this won’t guarantee an even number of responses for both conditions and I was hoping for something more automated.Thanks.

How do you add meta data to a participant, so that it can be used as a multi value selection in a filter in a dashboard?Example: I have some users that I want to mark as being part of an assessment in 2020, 2023 or 2024.  Each user can be in zero, one or multiple assessments.I have tried to add the data as “2022, 2023” or even split it with semicolons, but even I then mark it in the dashboard setup as a Multi-Answer Text Set, then “2022, 2023” is still seen as ““2022, 2023” in the filter, instead of separate as “2022” & “2023”

I have a workflow set up that send emails with survey response. I would like to remove the question name from showing up on the email. Is there a way this can be done that IS NOT either of the following options?1- remove the question names and leave them as null (the period will still show up)2- don’t select “show full question text” on the email task and instead use piped text in the email body to pull through the questions and responses 

We are using our own LLM to categorize responses. The categorization happens in three levels (drill-down principle):Category 1 (e.g., Product) Category 2 (e.g., Ease of Use) Category 3 (e.g., App navigation)Each response can have multiple categories. We are using an API-based approach to determine the categories after a response is captured, and then we want to write them back to the Qualtrics response dataset.The ultimate goal is to visualize these categories in a dashboard – for example, with bar charts. However, we want to implement a dependency: if Category 1 = Product is selected, the rest of the dashboard should automatically filter to that subset. Subcategories that do not belong to the selected Category 1 should no longer appear.Our challenge: How can we achieve such a visualization? In which format should we write the categories back to the response dataset?Initially, I thought about multi-value fields and codes, e.g., values like „1, 2, 5“ (Category 1) or „1-2, 2-2, 2-6, 5-1“

how do we calculate time passed between the change in the ticket status from "Open" to "In Progress" to show in the dashboard

While I saw a couple questions related to the slider, I’m trying to change the default and hover states for the circle portion of the slider question. I’ve inspected with dev tools and while I’ve been able to figure out where the hover state is triggered, I can’t actually see any styles changing in the CSS to be able to change them.My goal is to have the circle be a specific green by default, not this beige color by default, like shown in the middle slider (I have it’s hover state toggled on). And I don’t want it to have a hover color of that green mixed with black which the top slider shows. So I’m not sure if anyone can help me figure out how to actually target the styles for that slider circle. I’ve gone as specific as I can figure out in the inspect dev tools and the hover state is actually a higher level div which to me makes no sense. But again, I still don’t see any styles defined for it’s different hover states either so that I can change them.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re doing well. I was working on survey and got the problem that because Max and Min value in a slider is number I can’t change it with embedded data. I tryed to do it with a code, but still no luck. My survey is otherwise working perfectly, but this one issue is holding me back. Does anyone know if there’s a way to dynamically change slider Min/Max values, without resorting to building fully custom sliders? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We have a longitudinal study in which participants complete event recordings (text) across different surveys and then those are presented again in later surveys for them to rate. Right now, it is set up so that - for example -Survey A creates a  contact list of ID (from external source) and text entries Apos and Aneg.Survey B then uses ID from A to authenticate and then Apos and Aneg as embedded data to present again. Participants also enter new events as Bpos and Bneg (to be used in Survey C). This creates a new contact list of ID and text entries Bpos and Bneg. Survey C is then the same as B except using Bpos and Bneg.  However, if participants do not complete Survey B, they cannot be authenticated to go into Survey C because they do not exist in the B contact list.  Is there a way to create an overall contact list so that has ID, Apos & Aneg, after Survey A and then ADDS Bpos and Bneg IF they do Survey B so that the ID remains from A to be able to be authenticated for Survey C. 

Hi, I have a B2B CX dashboard to build. I have a hierarchy as below:Level 1 - CompanyLevel 2 - VerticalLevel 3 - CustomerLevel 4 - Offering I need to enable such a hierarchy filter in my CX dashboard. I got hierarchy enabled in my license. But when i go into dashboard setting and click on Add Org Hier, it says contact customer support. Kindly help with steps how to enable this hierachy for reporting. Regards,Neha Tank

I need to take multiple text entries from one survey and be able to present them in another survey later. I had previously done this using a trigger that added the data to a contact list, but Qualtrics has changed the way this works and I’ve failed repeatedly to make it work. Here’s the gist:Survey A has text entry questions AP and ANSurvey B needs to be able to present AP(response) and AN(response) as piped text (e.g., “Here is what you wrote previously: [blahblahblah]“)Participants will be entering the Survey A and Survey B from an external app that provides an ID as an embedded field (“ID”) - and this is how Survey B will use the correct data from Survey A.  I’m reasonably sure that this is an XM Directory question, but have been entirely unable to get anywhere. 

Hello - I like to include an estimated completion time in our survey emails, but noticed that Qualtrics no longer auto-calculates this time in the home menu. It used to be right here: ! I know that I can manually calculate the predicted duration using this logic: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-checker/survey-methodology-compliance-best-practices/#PredictedDuration But, am I missing a place where Qualtrics will calculate this for me?

Hi, I have been trying to make a discrete choice experiment on qualtrics. I have been following Sylvian Weber’s guide (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/337008835_A_Step-by-Step_Procedure_to_Implement_Discrete_Choice_Experiments_in_Qualtrics) and the youtube channel by Eugen Bogoditsov who recommends using SDT (Survey design tool- https://github.com/astrezhnev/conjointsdt). Eugen’s youtube channel recommends uploading image files to a private server for using it in the choice experiment. I was wondering if anyone has an idea about an alternate route using only base features in Qualtrics to make images possible in a discrete choice experiment? Thanks 

Hello - I have a stakeholder asking for survey that allows team members to nominate other team members for our annual awards. We have 10k team members so having a dropdown list is not going to work. In the past we’ve tried loop and merge with free text box but that made the export beyond rough. As a respondent I could nominate 1 person or 20 people or even 100 if I really wanted too. Thoughts on the best way to structure the survey so that when we export the results it’s not difficult to compile?TIA, I appreciate the assistance!

Hello all, I would like to use data contained within a List in my XM Directory in a Dashboard. I managed to do it “manually” by exporting data from my List, importing it in a project, and defining this imported-data survey as a data source in my Dashboard. Works fine, but I need to repeat the process on a regular basis to synchronize my Dashboard with the List. Very tedious !!! Would anyone have a hint on how to automate the process to ensure the Dashboard is updated without any human intervention ? Thanks in advance for your ideas.

How do I create an NPS widget that translates from the scaled question into the three groups and calculates the actual score?

Hello,We would like to connect our organization's Microsoft 365 account to use the Excel Extension in Qualtrics. While the connection setup looks straightforward, the documentation doesn’t clearly explain how the integration controls access to the individual user account within our organization’s Microsoft 365 account.It also mentions the option to connect to an individual M365 account, but this is not something we would want to do. We would like the user to use the organization’s M365 account only.To put it another way, everyone in our organization has an individual M365 account within our main M365 org account.
