Hello,I want to create a survey where the first question (NPS) is already answered for them based on the embedded data. I am aware I can not use the existing functions of qualtrics to do this and will need jafa script. Has anyone already done this code and is able to share it with me?e.g. Embedded data shows 8 in the URL string. Q1.NPS, has 8 pre-selected. Ideally I would like this for the NPS question type, but open to it being a single choice question to reflect the NPS format. Thank you. 

I am new to Qualtrics and am transitioning many surveys to Qualtrics from Alchemer. I have a survey and I need to password protect the PDF response report that goes to the respondent. Is that possible and if so, how do I do it? I did not find this in the Help documentation. Any information would be appreciated.Thank you!

I'm working on a survey where I need to conditionally add text to an existing question based on an embedded data value.Specific requirement:Embedded data variable: Example_Survey = ABC Add "Sample Text" to a question Only add this text if the class equals "ABC"  If the value is anything other than "ABC", do NOT add the textSince we're running multiple survey variations within the same survey and it is only two words in one questions, I'd prefer to implement this using CSS classes and JavaScript rather than Qualtrics' built-in logic, as this would be cleaner and more maintainable.How does a Class recognize the embedded data value?Do I have to create a nested Embedded data field?Thank you!

Hello, I would like to administer the ICCAS in Qualtrics. Briefly, “The ICCAS was designed to assess the change in interprofessional collaboration-related competencies in healthcare students and practicing clinicians before and after IPE training interventions. Specifically, this 21-item, self-report tool measures participants' skills in communication, collaboration, roles and responsibilities, collaborative patient-family-centered approach, conflict management/resolution, and team functioning.  Using a retrospective pre-post approach, participants complete the tool after IPE training, but rate their abilities twice: once as they recall them prior to training, and again now that training is done.”Can this be administered in Qualtrics as a matrix type question?  If so, how?Thank you.

Hi, I am trying to hide a few scale points for specific statement options (e.g. point on the 11th row, 3rd Column)?I tried to run this code under AddOnload on Javascript but it did not work.$('QR~QIDa~b~c').up('td').childElements().invoke('hide');a=Question QIDb=Row #c=Col # Was wondering if this could be because I am running certain display logics in my scale points and it may be confusing the system? I'm not well versed with Javascript and was wondering if there's another code I can use? Additionally, i have a few different scale points to hide on my matrix table. Hi, I’m exporting survey data from Qualtrics and the respondent identifier fields (e.g., RecipientEmail/Name) are redacted as ******* in Data & Analysis and in the Excel export.How can I enable View Restricted Data for my Qualtrics user account , or advise who can do this? I need a non-redacted export for research linkage (pseudonymised ID is also fine ). I hope that someone can advise please. Best regards Michael

Hello,Me and my team collaborate on many different projects and edit them frequently so I want to automate survey export in QSF format (i.e. backups of survey questions and survey structure itself, NOT survey responses). This is a procedure one typically does manually via the “tools>import/export>export survey” menus in the “Survey” page. Is there any way to automate this process and save the QSF file of each project somewhere (on the web/cloud) periodically?Thanks.

Hello - I like to include an estimated completion time in our survey emails, but noticed that Qualtrics no longer auto-calculates this time in the home menu. It used to be right here: ! I know that I can manually calculate the predicted duration using this logic: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-checker/survey-methodology-compliance-best-practices/#PredictedDuration But, am I missing a place where Qualtrics will calculate this for me?

Is there a faster way to check if a survey has been sent to a customer email? Currently going to Email distribution to pick a date range and needing to export each date file to search for an email.

Hi, I’m new to Qualtrics—sorry if I’m cross-posting.I’m working on a study where each participant needs to answer 10 questions, but there are 50 different versions of these 10 questions (i.e., 50 sets, each containing 10 questions).My goal is to randomly assign each participant to one version (50 participants in total) and have them see only that set of 10 questions.If I insert all 500 questions into the survey and try to control what participants see using randomization or display logic, the survey becomes very long and hard to manage.I’ve looked into Loop & Merge, but I’m not sure whether it’s the appropriate approach for my design.Could anyone suggest a more efficient way to implement this? For example, I’m wondering if it’s possible to put all 500 questions in a CSV file or in the backend, and somehow embed them into the survey?Thanks so much for any advice!

 I have a very simple side-by-side with an open-text field for adding additional comments for each item; however, when I go to enter text into the open-text field, all respondent input is centered, which can be disorienting for someone who has a LOT to say. Qualtrics support says there isn’t a built-in way to do this (like the Rich Text editor) and I cannot for the life of me figure out what kind of JavaScript would be needed to change this alignment behavior within the open-text fields themselves.There is a similar-sounding question that has already been answered here, but the problem in my survey’s side-by-side isn’t the same. It appears Qualtrics has included it’s own Calendar Question Type. Yay!However, it looks like it also includes a time-interval formatting feature where people HAVE to pick a time. Currently there is not an option to exclude this.I contacted Support and they said maybe there is someone in the community that can recommend code to get rid of it.Would love some help. Thank you!

One of my surveys, distributed via email through Qualtrics, has started displaying this screen to some omers who received this email. I still have some responses coming in, so this isn’t happening for everyone. We’ve been sending this survey out the same way for months, so I don’t know why it’s suddenly throwing a fit.  This is the survey link/URL within the email we send.  What some customers see:

By default, Qualtrics renders the logo with a generic alt attribute (e.g. alt="logo"), which technically supports screen readers but isn’t very descriptive.For testing, I was able to override the alt attribute at runtime using JavaScript. Before considering this further, I wanted to confirm whether this is a robust and reliable solution for production, or if there are known limitations or risks.My question is: Is there any supported or recommended approach in Qualtrics to define custom alt text for the header logo? Hi all, Has anyone programmed the EQ-5D VAS scale in Qualtrics? I have web development experience so have been trying to take a slider bar and tweak it to look exactly like the scale, but currently I can't seem to get anywhere close. I also tried playing around with the Graphics sliders, but still no such look. EuroQol have very strict requirements so the VAS scale has to look exactly like the hard copy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am creating a registration form that requires entering a child’s birthdate as a form field question. Based on the birthdate, I want to use branch logic to direct them to other parts of the form. For example, if the birthdate is between 09/02/2022 and 09/01/2023, I want to branch to the Pre-K portion of the form, etc. Since there is no option for branching before or after a date, I am trying to use “greater than or equal to” and “less than or equal to”. But since the entry is a date and not a number, this is not working. How do I fix this or convert the form field date to a number to use branch logic?

Im trying to make a mobile friendly multiple choice question where the question alternatives are side-by-side for alignment purposes. Id like to add additional labels to the left of the choice alternatives. How to do this? What I have done:What I would like to do: 

I’m sending out a survey in different languages, but we don’t know the preferred language of participants.  We’re therefore including all translations of the invite message in the one email, listed one after the other down the body of the email.  I’m trying to code in language links at the top of the email so the participant clicks on their language link and it takes them down to their chosen translation.  I’ve been trying to use the html coding as follows but it’s not working in the email received when testing. Anchor coding:  <a id=”German”> Dear name</a>Link coding: <a href=”#German”>Deutsche</a> Any ideas how to code this so it works in the email received?Thanks

This is a valid mailbox (employee-survey@customerdomain.com). When trying to send a message from some project, we receive error “Your organization’s email server is misconfigured. Please contact Customer Support. SMTP MISCONFIGURED”. Did someone encounter the same issue in the past? Any hint what could be missing or misconfigured? The setup in Qualtrics is the same as within the customer’s CX tenant (which works). Thanks for pointing us in the right direction! 

We're not getting much insight from support into solving our Zendesk use case problem other than "its Zendesk problem" but I have a hard time believing that what we're doing is an edge case. We are using the workflow template but the final task isn't letting us update a ticket if we are not updating fields that are required on the ticket itself. The fields that cause the error are fields are required to close, therefore are populated before our distribution trigger kicks-off. They are also dropdowns in Zendesk but the task doesn’t let us just pipe the selection that came in with the task back to the case to update the field we want to. We’re just trying to add a tag that a survey was sent so we don’t erroneously send surveys if the ticket is reopened or updated in Zendesk after the survey is distributed. Has anyone else seen this or found ways to accomplish this with the Zendesk extension. I suspect we’ll have the same issue when we try to send the satisfaction score back to the case a
