Hi everyone,I have a client who wants to “blacklist” certain email addresses and plans to send us a CSV of these emails on a regular basis. As far as I know, Qualtrics doesn’t offer an actual blacklisting feature.This sounds opting these contacts in advance out of the Directory, but I’m not sure what the best approach is.Has anyone implemented a workaround for this?Any guidance would be appreciated. I have several web intercepts running in my project, but I’ve been experiencing strange behavior in how they’re being displayed, which led the client to request that all of them be disabled.These intercepts each have only one action set, and all of them follow rules similar to the example below.  In addition, I have repeat display prevention enabled, with the browser cookie set for 14 days. Even so, I’m receiving reports that the intercepts are being displayed every single time the user accesses the target URL.I’m not exactly sure how to proceed or where to start investigating this.Has anyone experienced something similar and can share their two cents?

Hello everyone,I’m working on a workflow that pulls a file from Qualtrics’ Automation File Service and passes it through Basic Transform before moving on to the next steps. When I run the call on my machine using the endpoint from the Qualtrics API documentation page, the workflow runs perfectly with no issues. When the client makes the same call with the same file directly from Databricks, we keep getting the following error:TRF_1 - Record 1 has no field brand! Please ensure your source file has the header brand. Funny fact: the file does have the brand header. 🥲 Has anyone experienced this or have any insights that could help?

Hi all,I’m trying to automate a daily survey send based on embedded data conditions in XM Directory.My goal: Search contacts where surveyA_status = eligible using Search XM Directory task. Send Survey daily to those contacts After they complete the survey, update their XM Directory field:surveyA_status = completed …so they don’t get the survey again. My problem:I am unable to update the ED field for the contacts found by Search XM Directory.I simply need to know:👉 How do I update an embedded data field in XM Directory after a contact completes a survey, using workflows in the new workflow engine?What’s the correct way to achieve this?

Qualtrics reports is not saving my edits. The platform indicates that changes are saved; however, when I log out and log back in, the changes were not saved.Any ideas or suggestions?Thanks!Chipper

I have a contact list with a series of embedded date fields (DA01_Date, DA02_Date, DA03_Date… DA14_Date). I am trying to create workflows that send SMS survey invitations to contacts on their scheduled dates. For example, I want to create a scheduled daily workflow that sends an SMS invitation to Survey1 to all contacts where DA01_Date = today’s date. (Note that this would not be triggered by a previous survey response. It’s just send survey X to a person on their assigned DA01_Date.) I am surprised by how difficult this seems to be via workflows. In many cases as I’m trying to work this out, the issue that I run into is: How can I use my own directory data as the data source for a task? What am I missing? How would you set this up?

I have a survey where we need to use an anonymous link, but we are embedding certain details into the query string to give us certain details.  The link is something like www.survey.com/?D=YYYYMMDD&T=HHMM, so the actual link would be something like www.survey.com/?D=20251120&T=1015. I want to use that data as date/time segmentation on the dashboards.  I will set those up using this process (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/vocalize/dashboard-settings-cx/dashboard-data/date-time-segmentation-cx/).I’m capturing both D & T as embedded data with a value that is being set by the URL.  I added a separate embedded data field called FormattedDate and another called FormattedTime so I can save them as YYYY-MM-DD and HH:MM, then I added a third embedded data value as DateTimeCombined, and just added the FormattedDate & FormattedTime together, separated by a space.That would give me the data in a YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM format.  However, I can’t figure out how to do the formatting on th

The document on the right is the working document that I need to make into a Qualtrics survey. I would like "All under the supervision..." to show up as a line, like a statement, but I do not want the scale points to show on that line. Is there a way to go about this within a single matrix table? I can always just break it out into its own question but ideally I would keep it within single matrix table question. 

It is mentioned in Qualtrics documentation that topic detection supports English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, and Dutch. I understand that some languages are supported for sentiment analysis which Text iQ outputs based on machine learning. But for topic detection, this is a rules based system that requires identifying the specific words/phrases that should trigger a topic to be tagged.We are looking to have a workflow that is triggered when a verbatim mentions certain words. Because this survey is deployed in several languages, we want the workflow to trigger if the word is mentioned in any of those languages. I am aware of the Translate Comments feature, but that is not available to use for workflows.Is it expected that we manually configure our topic tagging rules to include English and non-English words? This is actually slightly more complex than even that question asks.I am asking parents to complete a survey about their child’s language and they tick each word their child knows.I would like to produce a word cloud from the words their child knows. I'm trying to set a dynamic custom start position for a slider, but do not want it to be set using the default choice feature. I want to be able to force a response from the respondent, but have the start position be preset dynamically. If I use the default choice feature, it sets the start position but also allows the participant to skip answering and simply click forward because it preselects the answer. Therefore, the default choice feature cannot be used. The custom start position feature seems to only allow a static start position. setChoiceValue also doesn't work because it preselects the answer as well. I need the participant to actively choose a value.Has anybody else achieved this previously? I scoured the community, but the only answers pointed to the default choice option which does not solve my issue.This question has been asked before here, but the answer didn't address the dynamic start position or the forcing of the response.

Hi there. Not sure if I selected the correct category but here is my question. Has anyone used Qualtrics to create a survey/form for the use of tracking the loaning of equipment. We are looking for an easy to use system of checking out equipment (i.e. Swivl camera, etc) and also checking those same items back in. We like the idea of using Qualtrics due to some of the of the features like the ticketing system, and email reminder actions that we could most likely implement with the tracking of items and their retrieval from those we loan items to.

Hi! For an intercept survey, I am pulling in the CurrentPageURL, but that URL contains a piece of data I would like to split out / store separately.  The piece of string I want is not always in the same position in the URL (the URL can be much longer than in this example), and the pieces of information in the URL are not always in the same order, but the string I want will always follow after ‘PNR=’. It’s the 6 letters after that I would want (yellow in the screenshot).Is there any way to store that information in a separate embedded field? We already tried passing through Adobe, but that will not work for us. I am not familiar with Javascript, but feel that’s the most likely way to do it… But wanted to confirm before I try to learn how to do that.

How to ensure instructors only see their own response rate dashboards?

I would like to create an automated daily export that includes responses in progress -- basically the same file that a user can get by manually downloading from the “Responses in Progress” section in the Data & Analysis tab. I’ve been experimenting with the “export-responses” endpoint, but have only been able to capture submitted responses. I’m new to the API though, and am not sure if I’m looking in the wrong place entirely. Can anyone point me in the right direction? 

My client is looking to change the date format that is set by default when we download or set up automation of response export files from the data and analysis tab? I am unable to locate where we can make this change. Some help will be highly appreciated.

How can I avoid duplicate contacts being created in XM Directory?

Hello. I'm new here and hope I'm asking in the right place.I am creating a form where the person needs to sign it before submitting. Similar to a paper form, you would sign and date it. Instead of using a textbox to ask the person to input today's date (I did this previously and lots of people type in the wrong date or year), I would like to have it as a part of the question already. I had learned on this forum that I can use piped text to add in the current date. I did this and when I went to download the survey entries to pdf (need to save separately for record), the date was for today's date (11/03/2020) when it should be yesterday's date (11/02/2020) since that's when the person filled out the form (I know from recorded date and time). I thought the piped text for today's date would be sealed once the form was submitted, but it doesn't seem to be the case. What can I do to make it work the way I'm imaging?Here's what I'm trying to do/what I did with the piped text but it's not work

I’m sending out a survey in different languages, but we don’t know the preferred language of participants.  We’re therefore including all translations of the invite message in the one email, listed one after the other down the body of the email.  I’m trying to code in language links at the top of the email so the participant clicks on their language link and it takes them down to their chosen translation.  I’ve been trying to use the html coding as follows but it’s not working in the email received when testing. Anchor coding:  <a id=”German”> Dear name</a>Link coding: <a href=”#German”>Deutsche</a> Any ideas how to code this so it works in the email received?Thanks

I need to build a workflow that sends three reminder emails based on a respondent’s survey completion progress. The reminders should only be sent if the respondent is still incomplete at the time the reminder is due, not at the time the workflow is triggered. Here is the exact logic I want to implement:When a respondent starts the survey and a response is recorded, the workflow should wait 48 hours. After 48 hours, the system should check the respondent’s current survey progress. If progress is still <100%, send Reminder Email 1. If the response has reached 100%, do nothing and stop the workflow for that respondent. Then wait 7 days after Reminder Email 1. After 7 days, the workflow should check progress again. If progress is still <100%, send Reminder Email 2. Otherwise stop the workflow. Then wait another 14 days. After this period, check progress again. If still <100%, send Reminder Email 3.
