Report Aggregate Data

I have a survey with multiple blocks that I would like to aggregate. In other words, I need to show total results for sets of questions instead of individual results. The questions are binary Yes/No type. Is there a way of doing this?

Repeat exactly the same survey

A couple of months ago I did a survey with random questions and random flows and got my answers without problem. Now I need each participant to answer again but exactly the same survey they did before, with the same questions, blocks, flows and be presented in the same order. Try to make a link to return to but this changes the order, questions and blocks. What can I do? Thank you

How can I cancel an exporting task?

This feels like it should be very easy, but I haven't found a solution. I have an export task running (see screenshot below), and I just want to cancel it so that it stops entirely. How can I do that? !

Get individual survey response from v2.5 API

Hi there, Our Qualtrics surveys redirect to our website on completion, passing the SurveyID and ResponseID to the landing page, and we need to display some aggregate information pulled from the response on the resulting page that the respondent sees. I've looked into using the v3 CreateResponseExport API, but aside from being a huge amount of developer work (three requests, handling zipped files, parsing data files that could contain many thousands of records) it is also way too slow to be usable for displaying an immediate response to a site user. I would dearly love for a GetResponse API action to be added, which takes a ResponseID and returns the response data - this seems such an obvious use-case, that I find it hard to believe it is not in the v3 API! However, I have found that it _does_ exist in v2.5 of the API, as getLegacyResponseData. Therefore, I have been attempting to test whether this gives us what we need, at an acceptable speed. Combining Randomly Selected Screens and Gold Standards into One Survey

Hi Qualtrics community, I am looking to compare several gold standard surveys (say A, B, and C) against several screening surveys (say 1, 2, 3, and 4). To do so I hope to have each participant complete one randomly selected gold standard and two randomly selected screening tools. For example, Participant #1 would complete B-1-3. The next participant would A-1-4. And, so on. Is there a way for Qualtrics to randomly select one gold standard and two screening surveys, combine them, and present them to the participant? I am trying to avoid having to repeatedly create one survey that includes one gold standard and two screens (e.g. A-1-2, A-1-3, ..., C-3-4). As you can imagine, there would be quite a lot of combinations. Thanks for your time, Joe

Hide box for other language

Hi all, I would like to develop a questionnaire in two languages. In each question, there will be two boxes, one for each language. Will it be possible for me to only show one box (representing one particular language) and hide the other? So, when my participant wants to look at other languages they can press a bottom (for example) which then unhide the other box containing the other language. Thank you, Best Regards, Sherly

Interblock display Logic

Hi everyone, I am building up a survey for a time-use diary analysis, so I have several blocks of questions about what respondents did during day. For every activity they insert (one different block everytime they pass on to a new activity), I ask them the timing, so that at each block I have the question "untill which time did you do last activity the respondent indicated he/she was doing?" With piped text everything works fine untill there, but I would like to set a costum validation, i.e. I would like to impose the timing of the new activity to be after the time they indicated as the ending time of the previous activity. Anyway, when I ask qualtrics for a custom validation, I am propmted with this screen ! where I cant impose any reference to other questions and I have to select a choice from the options I put myself as possible answer to the question (i.e possible hourse of the day). Hot Spot Like/Dislike Customization

Hi, Some background: I am using the Like/Dislike Hot Spot question to turn a paper survey into an interactive online survey. I used the hot spot question because it allows me to make custom buttons on a custom graphic (the original paper survey jpegs). It's going to be given to children pre-K - 5th grade so the larger "click response area" is ideal, but the green/red color response is not. Green and red inherently imply right and wrong; which signals to the student correct/incorrect, even though that is not what it actually means in this case. We used the like/dislike option because we need two response options. I want to be able to customize the color of the responses on the customer/participant facing side of a Hot Spot question. I was hoping to write some custom code to turn the response a light grey color. This way they can see that they've selected it, but not have any indicator of correctness. Choosing a colour for hotspot regions

Hello, I have hotspot questions set up as on/off with only two regions available, set up such that respondents must choose a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 1. I have named these regions 'Noswitch' and 'Switch'. I have display logic in place that uses these responses in the next question (such that respondents only move to the next question if they chose Switch ('Switch - on is selected') and did not choose Noswitch 'Noswitch - on is not selected'). The reason I'm using hotspots rather than just radio buttons for this simple design is that the respondents are children. Hotspots are more engaging and also allow me to trust children to click in the right region, as they're large, rather than making a mistake on small radio buttons. I have two questions: - I don't want respondents to get the idea that one response is right and the other is wrong. Right now, one region is green and another is red. These imply right and wrong. Can you send out an SMS survey without an end message showing?

I want my survey to finish with a relatively open ended question where customers can respond should they wish. I would like the SMS survey to close after 4 hours without contacting the customers again - is this possible?

Replicate the formatting of the two end options that the NPS question has on a multiple choice quest

Hi everybody. I want to make a nice looking question on a horizontal 0-10-scale + a don't know category. At both ends of the scale I need to have some descriptive text. Unfortunately this doesn't look nice, because the text can't be spread out. Can anyone help me what to do? Below my question is as a NPS-question (which looks nice, but does not include the 'don't know' category) and in the bottom picture a multiple choice question. The text is in danish, but the category to the far right in the multiple choice question is the "don't know" category. !

Load gif from beginning and after everything else?

Contact List "First Name" or "FirstName"

When importing a contact list in CSV, do the headings "First Name" and "Last Name" need a space between the words, or can they be run together as in "FirstName" and "LastName"? Will variations in either of the headings make a difference when using either piped text or when downloading an email history report?

Is there a way to link multiple surveys to one respondent using some form of ID?

I am new to using the Qualtrics platform and I was wondering if it is possible for responders to be 'profiled' in some way such that when they take multiple surveys, their responses are tied to the specific user. This way only one survey would need to have demographic questions and follow up surveys won't but since the surveys are tied to the same user, one could perform correlations across different surveys for the user. Creating a print survey from a Qualtrics survey

We survey our members on a semi-annual basis to understand how we are performing and where are our gaps in what they need from us. However, we only have 40% of their email addresses. We do have 100% of their mailing addresses. I have been playing around with the idea of creating a paper survey, that mirrors our online survey to reach out to those missing members. Does anyone have experience with this that could provide some tips?

How to use custom validation with wildcards?

Hi, I am trying to include a custom validation in my survey that checks if an email address is in the right format. I am trying to check for a single letter followed by a . (dot) followed by an undefined amount of characters. I also want it to check that our domain is not included. For example address f.manchester (validates True) m.bob (validates True) mhoward (validates False) m.bob@snhu.edu (validates False) I've read similar threads where people do this with numbers but I couldn't find anything with people doing it with letters. hiding the "next" button until a text response is made

Hello! I am trying to display a text entry question (only question on the page) for a maximum of 30 seconds. If a response is not entered within 30 seconds, the question will automatically advance. If a response is entered, I would like the next button to appear so that the user does not need to wait until the 30 seconds are up before going to the next page. I was able to use JavaScript to hide the next button (thanks to a different discussion thread); however, I have not been able to figure out how to make the next button appear in response to a key press (i.e., when the user types something in response to the text entry question on the page). How to carry forward rank ordered images

Hi, In short: For my survey I have respondents rank a number of images. Later on in the survey I want to show these images again based on the way the respondent ranked them before. Does qualtrics have an option to do this? I could not find it under the carry forward options. The longer version: In my survey respondents can vote for a t-shirt design, either by selecting one option or by rank ordering them. Now later on in the survey I want to show them the winning design based on their previous answer. They either get to see that their choice/rank order is the winning one, or they get to see that their choice did not win. For the option with only 1 choice i can use the carry forward answer option and show the respondent that their choice did indeed win. However, when i want to show them that another design won, i seem unable to do this. All i can do is show them all the designs that they did not pick. Is there anyway to show just one option they did not pick? For the rank ordering
