Link expired unexpectedly

I have a survey which was sent to designated colleagues who are added to a Contact in the Directories on 2 Jan. I set 3 months for them to complete. So, it shouldn’t have expired as of today (17 Jan). However, two colleagues who tried to submit their responses today informed me that the survey link has expired and couldn’t make any submission. Do you know why? How can this be sorted out?

Guidance on Integrating a React.js Calendar Setup into Qualtrics

Description: I have a calendar setup built with React.js, hosted in GitHub, which has been approved by our accessibility team. I need guidance on how to integrate this calendar into Qualtrics. Challenges: Directly copying the code from GitHub or inspect element into Qualtrics doesn’t work. I need to know if it’s possible to run React.js code in Qualtrics or if there’s an alternative approach to replicate the functionality. Questions: Is there a supported way to embed React.js components in Qualtrics? Carry Forward responses into question and not into choices

I want to format a question like the example below and have only the options that were selected in the previous question to show up. I know I could set it up so each table has one of the choices as piped text and then do display logic, but I don’t want to have gaps in the table where a choice should be that wasn’t selected. I would like to put all the options that were selected in the previous question into the table into their own cells, or at minimum put each choice that was selected into it’s own line below the main question.

Data Structure with Question Items

I’m reviewing data issues pulled from our API integration with Qualtrics and trying to identify the root issue. (See attached image). We have four options in this particular survey. You can see the recode values on the left. On the right-hand side is what the individual responded, with “Y” being what was selected. As you can see, some users have “N” across all options, despite having selected an option. In the row highlighted, the user selected the second option, was awarded a score for it, yet in the “answer” option, it is not appearing. My guess is that this is due to the survey item option responses changing. For example, when creating a new item with 4 options, it populates options as option1, 2, 3, and 4. If you delete Option 1, and create a new option, it comes up as “option 5” rather than replacing option 1. Thus, if we are only capturing Answers 1-5, it may not be matching with Options 1-5. Is there a way to change the options back to 1-5? Another way of looking at it - if the

Disable mobile optimization in ExpertReview?

Is there a way to customize ExpertReview so that it doesn’t flag certain types of errors? ER just reviewed my latest survey and rated mobile optimization as a severe issue. While that’s an accurate assessment, it’s a moot point in my organization. About 90% of my employee population is not expected or permitted to do work-related things on personal devices, and are not issued company devices. We simply don’t care about mobile compatibility because our surveys will always be completed on laptop/desktop computers. I’d like to tell ER to skip over that bit and focus on the rest of the survey. Obviously it’s not a critical issue, but it’s still annoying.

Personalized Invitations in External Candidate Surveys

Hello community, I have a survey that will be conducted with external candidates, and we are using an integration with SuccessFactors Recruitment. I understand that use cases often recommend and favor survey-type projects in the CX module. However, I would like to know if it is possible to send personalized invitation messages based on a specific embedded data field coming from this integration. .txt import file tags

I have a .txt file I created from an excel spreadsheet. I found a list of tags to use when specifying the types of questions, answers, and so on. Is there a tag for the Matrix type? The [[Question:Matrix]] defaults to the Likert type Matrix table. I would like to specify Text Entry. Is there a tag for this or coding to use? I have 100 type Matrix type questions. Display question based on number of answer choices

Hello, I want to display a question only if there are a certain number of answer choices displayed in that same question. The answer choices are carried forward from multiple previous matrices. The matrices have five scale points, and only statements selected with the highest scale point are carried forward to that question. I only see display logic for selected count, but not for displayed count. Would anyone be able to help me with this?

Embedded data - view, edit, copy

Hello, I have a survey that has 30+ embedded data rows. I am defining each of these data points in an intercept that has 4 creatives defined as 4 action sets. Each creative is using the same values. (Yes, I found out that I can copy an action set and the copy will carry the embedded data definitions.) When it comes to viewing the embedded data values, it is very difficult because the width f the boxes that the Qualtrics UI offers is too small - I cannot see the complete values. All this manual and visual checking is extremely slow and error-prone. I cannot even make a screenshot and grab the text because the full values are not visible. Editing is as cumnersome as the viewing. I am looking for a more efficient way of viewing, entering and editing the embedded data instead of using the form provided by the graphical UI. Any export to Excel and import back? Maybe a text editor?

Piped text of scoring to embedded data

Hi community, I’m trying to piped in a scoring value in to embedded data field and the use that embedded data field for calculation and the display it in a latter text/graphic question. for some reason, the embedded data field doesn’t get populated by the scoring. these are the steps i took so far: Step 1: Set Up Scoring Navigate to the Survey: Go to the Survey tab in your Qualtrics account and select the survey you want to work on. Set Up Scoring: Click on Tools and select Scoring. Create a new scoring category or use an existing one. Assign points to the questions as needed. Step 2: Pipe Scoring into an Embedded Data Field Navigate to the Survey Flow: Click on the Survey Flow button in the survey editor. Add an Embedded Data Element: Click Add a New Element Here and select Embedded Data. Name the embedded data field (e.g., Score). Set the Value of the Embedded Data Field: Click Set a Value Now. How to set data pulled from google sheet as embedded data?

Hey all, Im having a difficult time navigating the google sheet workflow and was hoping someone could point me towards a solution. I have set up my workflow and have confirmed that it is pulling from the correct cell, but now I need to set that value set as embedded data to be used in the survey and I cannot for the life of me get it working. Repeated block randomisation

I have the above survey design. Ideally I would like each of the four questions (believe, clear, real, relate) within each block to be randomly presented to participants, with the order of randomisation presented in the first block to be consistent across all subsequent blocks. Other than creating 160ish separate blocks with embedded data and branching logic is there any other way to accomplish this?

Tracking Time Spent on Randomized Blocks and Questions within a Block

Hi everyone, I have a survey design with approximately 20 sets of blocks, and I have two questions regarding randomization and timing: 1. Tracking Time Spent on Randomized Blocks In my survey flow, I’ve grouped certain subsets of blocks under a Randomizer to shuffle their presentation. I’d like to track the time each respondent spends on each randomized block individually, regardless of the order in which they appear. I know that Q_TotalDuration can track the total time spent on a block when it’s shown in a fixed order. However, I’m unsure if it’s possible to accurately track time spent on each block when the blocks are randomized. Is there a way to capture block-level timing data for each randomized block? Ideally, I’m looking for a solution that would give me a separate timing metric for each block, even though the blocks are presented in a random order. 2. Question: How to Link Rank and Rate Items and Behavior Items in Qualtrics

Hello everyone, I'm currently working on a Qualtrics survey with the following setup: Ranking Question: Participants rank 13 items representing dimensions of wellbeing (e.g., "Feeling good", "avoiding negative feelings", "relatedness"). Importance Rate Question: I carry forward the rankings from the previous question using embedded data (e.g., e://Field/rank1, e://Field/rank2, etc.). Behavior Rate Question: Afterward, participants rate the extent to which they engage in behaviors related to these 13 ranked items (e.g., "Do things that made you feel pleasant feelings" for "Feeling good"). However, these items are presented in a set order (not ranked order). My goal is to dynamically show participants their top-ranked item, importance rating, and behavior rating for each of the 13 wellbeing dimensions in the summary results at the end of the survey. Survey Response Workflow: Response data not translated

Hello everyone, I’m running a multilingual survey with US English (Base language), German and Japanese. As the reviewer does not speak German nor Japanese, I would like to display survey response data only in English in the response summary regardless of the input language. However, it does not work as intended. Please find below the overview of my workflow setting: Workflow trigger: Workflow starts when a survey response is received What do you want to look for?: Newly created response. Select what language to receive response data in: Resolve translations into another language (English (US)) Task 1: Email task Email is sent out to a certain group of people. Email body contains response summary using piped text. Task 2: Microsoft Excel task Survey response is added to an excel worksheet as defined. Although I’ve set up that all the data (except free text comment) will be displayed English (US) to be displayed, I found Japanese and German in the response summary in the email and excel

Help with Redirecting Back to a Specific Question in Qualtrics After Shiny Survey

Hi everyone, I’m working on a project where I redirect participants from a Qualtrics survey to a Shiny web app for additional data collection. After participants complete the Shiny survey, I want to send them back to a specific question (QID10) in the original Qualtrics survey, not the beginning of the survey. I've tried using the returnTo=QID10 parameter and also experimented with Q_PopulateResponse, but it keeps redirecting users to the first page of the survey instead. Evenly presenting random terms within a sentence with one dependent on another

Hi Qualtrics community, This is my first time diving into JS. I am building a survey where each question includes three separate terms describing a person (race, gender, and sexuality). Each term is randomly generated from a list of pre-entered values (race has four options, gender four, and sexuality two). The sentence at the beginning of each question reads: “Person is [race] [gender[ who identifies as [sexuality].” Based off of several other posts in this forum, I built the following JS and it is working great. However, I have three additional questions: The way this is currently written, will the options for each of the three terms be presented evenly when randomized? If no, how to correct so that they are? Is there a way to write this so that for the third term (sexuality), “gay” will be used when the second term (gender) includes “boy”, and “lesbian” will be used when the second term (gender) includes “girl”? Conjoint simulations

Hey! I’m running a conjoint analysis using Qualtrics’s tool, and have a question concerning the preference share simulations. In my conjoint model, I’m testing 4 price levels, with the most expensive one being $199. When analyzing price level utilities, the $199 level received a negative utility score (while the other 3 price levels received positive utilities). When running a preference share simulation, I’m testing 4 different packages options identical in all attributes included in each of the packages expect the price level, and the preference share I receive for the option with $199 is higher compared to the lower price levels. What could explain this? Thanks!

For drag and drop ranking questions, how can I use custom coding to modify the text of the rank numbers that are displayed? For example, in stead of the digits 1, 2, 3, I would like to have the following labels automatically displayed: “Best”, “Intermediate”, “Worst.” Is there some javascript code that will do this? Replace buttons with image and make clickable

Hi, I’m trying to create a question that is similar to the example below. I’m really just looking for the statement, and a thumbs up and thumbs down option. They will have the option to select up to 5 thumbs up and 5 thumbs down. I’m not really sure how to replace the radio buttons with an image. I was thinking that the Bipolar Matrix Table question was the closest thing to doing this, but I’ve seen posts on the community about using the single answer multiple choice question. Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks.
