Website Feedback Tab - Duplicate / Spam Answers

Recently, we started seeing duplicate responses coming through with the subsequent ones being marked as Spam. Qualtrics thinks producers are clicking on the tab multiple times, but this never happened in the past, and seems to happen frequently now. Has anyone dealt with this? What's really odd, is that the user can't even get to the tab unless they are logged into our portal. Super strange. Any tips or advice here? I can provide more details, too.

Directory Settings Blocking Surveys

Hi all, we are seeing a lot of surveys being skipped due to contact frequency rules. It's come to my attention Qualtrics has default settings - I had these two items unchecked. I also noticed our feedback tab was serving up up to 50 impressions per day that were being added to our directory contacts. My suspicion is that is what is blocking it. I turned off the link to directory for the feedback tab and loosened up these rules. Has anyone encountered this or can advise? Also, I have no idea what "number of days that need to pass before contacts can receive another message means? Do I need to check that? How can I get these surveys to deliver without getting skipped?

Randomising two conditions

I have three texts that needs to be randomised - A, B and CBefore showing each text, I need to display a prompt with instructions, either - D, E or FI need to randomise such that each question has a prompt and there are no repetitions. Display Logic after DCE (Conjoint)

Dear all, I have set up a Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE) using the conjoint tool from DesignXM. The choice tasks contain an opt-out option (selection of "none of the options" possible).If respondents always choose the opt-out option I want to ask them after the DCE, why they always choose the opt-out option (general refusal/negative perception of the topic, or only too high/low price?).However, I cannot add a display logic based on the responses of the choice tasks. The questions and answers are not accessible in later questions in the survey.Does anybody have an idea, how to access the responses from the choice tasks to build a display logic based on the answers?Thanks in advance!Kati

How to carry forward choices from multiple scale points in a matrix question?

Is there a way to carry forward choices from a matrix question for multiple scale points (e.g., very important and extremely important) ? In other words, I only want to display choices for which respondents chose they were "very important" or "extremely important."

Advice requested: Audio clips not working on mobile devices and SOME browsers

Hi all,Some of our projects involve participants listening to a large array of audio clips that are set to autoplay once. I have read here (https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/664/autoplay-videos-from-files-library) that mobile devices restrict autoplay features to avoid too much data being used without owner's consent. I have experienced issues with audio clips for this particular reason, but what could a reason be for some participants also experiencing a similar issue when using different browsers on a laptop/PC?For the project we run, we advise people to use Google Chrome as we found this to be the most reliable (compared to other browsers such as Safari, Edge etc.), but some people have experienced audio issues with this too. Is it a matter of not having an updated browser, or an old device/operating system? Or is there something else that could make audio clips not fail to generate as much?Note - most of the time it works perfectly, but to optimise our projects

Using Qualtrics SMS Distributions for Research

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of Qualtrics SMS distributions for research and practices to ensure that the text messages containing the survey link are not blocked by participants' device carrier. I'm not sure if this would mean using Twilio, or if there's actions within Qualtrics or on your personal device which helps make sure messages can get through.Thanks in advance for any insight!

How to show answer choices mapped to embedded data field in default English?

In our survey we have created 2 versions of the same question because the customer wanted different wording depending on the user region in the sample file. So we have Q17.1 and Q17.2 which ask the same thing but slightly differently.To report Q17 as a whole we created an embedded data field that populated after Q17.1/Q17.2 were completed, but we are seeing that the translated text is appearing in data & analysis, so if I select option 5 "Very good" and set my embedded data field to Q17.1 selcted answers, if the respondent takes the survey in Spanish data & analysis shows "Muy bueno" rather than "Very good".How can I get the selected answers pipe in to pipe-in the answer value in the survey setup language (English)?

How to allow multiple answers within a same group of answers ?

I would like to allow respondants to select multiple anwers even within a group. I have already ticked allow multiple responses but you can only select responses that are in different groups and not within the same group. For exemple: I would like to allow to select "Bâtiment académique", "Bâtiment administratif" and "Espace Shengor".

How to get a single link to capture existing customer data such as customer ID or email address

Hello,I'm looking to create a survey link with a pre-filled authenticator and embedded data to be able to track/capture existing customer data such as a customer ID and/or an email address. I read through the links on how to create a pre-filled authenticator and include embedded data but I'm still only able to get an anonymous link. How can I get a link to then be able to share and send via a separate platform outside of qualtrics but still track existing customer data that I uploaded into the qualtrics platform?

Multi-user Onboarding Form Issue

Hi Community,To streamline new staff on-boarding, I'm creating a survey with multiple users:Dept 1 - inputs new hire detailsDept 2 - inputs the PHONE numberDept 3 - inputs the ROOM numberOnce all form fields are filled in, the new hire details need to be sent to three different persons to update their systems.I'm having two issues: (1) Even though I have an end of survey, the form refreshes for approver 1&2 and doesn't end; (2) system is not sending out the final email. My setup is: 1. Project workflow sends an email with the retake link to 'dept 2' and 'dept 3' for each to fill out their form field per the example (EACH RECEIVES their respective email):2. When approver 1 or 2 updates their form field and hit submit, the page just refreshes showing the showing the respective (phone/room) update instead of ending:3. Piped Text on from one qustion to another on the same page

Hello ,I have a question about Piped Text: I need to retrieve the value of question #1 (for example, a slider) and enter it into question #2 which is on the same page (before submit). That is, every time the participant changes his answer in question #1 (for example, moves the slider) the value in question #2 needs to be updated.How can I do it?Thanks in advance!

Combine data of three surveys for one report

We have three surveys built. Each survey is unique to an office location. We need to take the responses from the surveys and combine them into one report. I have been looking for options for importing or combining survey results and just haven't found the right answer. What methods exist to pull all data from across the surveys into one report? Thanks

Is it possible to link text in one question/block to another?

HiI am developing a SOP for my organisation's use of Qualtrics in Qualtrics to show how fabulous and versatile it is and need to link text in one block to content in another that is not on the same page. E.g., in my send section (block 20) I want to link back to content earlier in my getting started section about the internal approval process (block 5).Is it possible to link from one block? Text anchors initially seemed like a good option; however, they apparently only work on the same page which my content is not.My SOP survey has a table of contents. Is telling people to manually go back to the table of contents and navigate to the relevant block/section themselves my only option? Anyone have a work around?ThanksGill

Using SSO Authenticator w/ LDAP - no options for multiple submissions unless associating w/ panel?

Wondering if anyone has insight. I noticed today that when using the SSO Authenticator in Survey Flow using LDAP to authenticate any user with credentials in my organization, my Authenticator options do not include the checkbox to allow/disallow multiple responses to the survey from authenticated respondents unless I have the "associate respondent with panel" box checked. I tested the survey and it allows multiple submissions after authentication by default. I don't want to associate the respondent with a panel because I don't have access to every user's info to build that list. The slider button in survey options to prevent multiple submissions is pretty weak. How can I authenticate users and prevent them from completing the survey multiple times? I was thinking I could send their info to an XM Directory and then use logic in the survey flow to kick them if they are present in the XMD, but the survey also needs to be 100% anonymous after the login, and it wouldn't be if I were c

Standing survey available in Salesforce

Hi All! New user to Qualtrics (around 30 days in my role). I received a request to build a Qualtrics survey that is available in Salesforce (it was requested by use of a button). The goal is for an internal user to use the button (in Salesforce) to send a link to a customer after an Executive Business Review. They want the survey to pull in the users information but the only way I have figured out how to do this is by using an anonymous link. Any direction on how I would accomplish this would be great! Also, any other recommendations related speeding up my onboarding would be great!

My surveys have disappeared

I made 2 surveys to be used as evaluation tools. The surveys were printed out and people filled them out by hand. I downloaded the survey as a csv file so I could manually upload the data. When I went to upload the results both surveys I made are no longer there. They're not in my library and I know I didn't delete them. Is there a way to get them back or am I going to have to remake both?

Survey Flow ID Record

I created a survey that randomized one of eight different options. Each of these included two blocks - which of the two blocks was seen first was also randomized. So 16 potential survey flows. I published the survey and have had nearly 400 responses, but I don't know which flow each of them took. Obviously, I know which of the eight surveys they got based on the exported data, but I don't know which block was seen first within each survey. I now realize that there is a "Survey Flow ID" that can be turned on the survey flow page and I've done that - so I can see the ID for each one. But I can't find a way to associate that data with a response (it is not appearing as a field in the CMS or in the exported .csv file) and I'm nervous that it was never recorded. Any advice on how to get this data from surveys already completed?

Disallow clicks on padding surrounding radio buttons

I would like to prevent clicks on the padding surrounding radio buttons in multiple choice questions. I tried the following CSS code in the Look & Feel settings:.SingleAnswer {  pointer-events: none;}It seems to work: participants can only click the radio button, but not the padding. My question is if this will cause any side effects that I have not thought about.For context, this is used so that by clicking on the page centered radio button on one question, the mouse cursor would be directly between two options arranged horizontally on the next question which will be shown automatically, removing positional bias.Edit: To update, it appears that this solves it for some questions (when options were horizontally arranged) but prevents other questions from being answered (when options were vertically arranged).

Help! First time using Qualtrics

Hello,I am a postgraduate student, who has created a study on Qualtrics. I have been trying to merge qualtrics with RPS (a system my university uses), so that students are redirected and gain a research credit for participating in the study at the end of the study.However, despite videos showing me there should be an option to 'redirect to URL' in messaging drop down menu in survey builder, it is not an option when I try to edit the end of survey block. It gives me 'custom', 'default' and 'include summary response' options under the messaging drop down menu but there is no 'redirect to url' option. I also tried going to survey flow to see if I could do it from there but there is a warning sign on the 'end of survey' block and although it shows there is a box 'redirect to url', i cannot tick the box. It says that 'this function is unavailable for your brand'I am supposed to be collecting data as we speak but this is causing me a major headache. If anyone has any ideas, I would be very g

Deleted question showing up in survey

HelloI deleted a question in my survey, saved and then published the changes. I also, removed the question from the trash.The question does not show in Preview. The question still shows up when I do a test survey via an email. It shows up also when I test using anonymous link. I have no idea why a deleted questions is showing up. Any ideas on how to correct this?Thank you

Email respondents their quiz answers, but don't let them see their score?

I'm using Qualtrics to administer a quiz to students in my class. I have Qualtrics automatically compute a score, but this isn't a final score - I need to manually examine some things first. I don't want students to see this intermediate score.I also want to email them their quizzes (questions + answers) so they can later see what they got wrong when I upload an answer key.
