Hi everyone!Using custom validation (matches regex ^[0-9]{2}$ ) I make sure that my participants always enter two digits in response to a question, i.e. "08" must be entered instead of "8".However, in data export and when concatenating variables, “8” still shows up as “8” even though “08” was entered.  However, I would also like to export (e.g. to csv or excel) this result as "08" not as "8".Moreover, I would like to concatenate combined variables in the data section and here "08" should be also used instead of "8".  Is this possible? Thanks. Best

We have a large list of unique coupon codes we want to distribute within qualtrics to survey respondents. Is that possible through javascript, and if so, could someone outline maybe a good way to get started? We want every respondent to get a different coupon code, so it would have to keep track of which code on the list is next to give out. Thank you so much!

Hi,I'm pretty new to Qualtrics. I have a survey on Qualtrics where the respondents get instructions on how to join our study. I want to enable my respondents to provide their email address in the survey so that they could automatically get a recap of these instructions by email. However, I want the survey responses to stay anonymous and therefore the email address should not save in my dataset.Any idea on how to do this? Is it even possible to collect data in a Qualtrics survey which is then only used for triggering an action?Thanks in advance!

Hi!I am desperately trying to do the following:I have 6 questions (from 6 categories, in my case: medication types), each contains some 20 itemsI want to add a question where all selected items from those previous 6 questions can be ranked by drag-and-drop. Ideally the items in this question would be auto-filled, just like in "Carry forward choices".There used to be a way how to do this, but I can't recall how. Carry forward choices does allow only selected choices from one previous question.Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance,Michael

Dear Community, I want to show participants a binary multiple choice question. If they choose option A, I want them to see 1 of 4 possible 'outcomes' - if they choose Option B I want them to see only 1 outcome. I want the participant to do this 5 times in total. I want to record a data point for: what the participant choose (A/B) each time in the root question and what they are shown as a result each time. Is there a way to do this without creating multiple blocks/randomizers that ends up in a messy survey flow? I have a feeling it is a combination of embedded data/display logic but I am struggling to figure it out. Any help would be most appreciated.

Is it possible to store a data field over different participant sessions?Such that the first participant enlarges a counter, on survey start, and this value will be available for the next participant starting the survey after that, which again enlarges the counter, and so forth. So that only a certain maximum of participants can be allowed to start the survey?I am aware, that there are quotas, but since we have to count participants which will get paid, and the survey takes some time to finish, chances are high that more participants are starting then we can pay, soon after publishing the anonymous link. So (just like the Qualtrics docs suggest) we can not use quotas, for restricting to a certain participants maximum, when some count is reached. Instead we have to work around that case somehow. EmbeddedData does not seem to be an option (?). Or can we misuse the contact lists for that somehow? Or misuse external Google sheet resources in some way?Thank you very

Dear all, My question is about randomisation of blocks. I have a total of 17 blocks of which 9 blocks should be displayed to each participant. A certain block is supposed to come in fifth place each time as an attention task. Is there a way to approach this issue in a practical way?If I run only one randomisation, then the attention task does not always appear. I have tried to run two full randomisations with 4 blocks + attention task + 4 blocks each, but then I have the problem that the blocks can appear twice. And if I divide all the blocks into 2 groups of 8 blocks, with a randomisation of 4 blocks each, then some of them always appear at the beginning or the end of the survey, which seems unfavourable. Thank you very much for your suggestions. 

Dear Qualtrics community, I just got enough respondents to finish my masterthesis but I have the following problem: I used a randomizer and made 4 different groups with different treatments. However, it seems that there is no way to see which respondent belongs to which group. I dont have any grouping variable/column. Is there a way for me to add a specifiek ID or number to a group? I am trying to add a video through "rich content editor". I upload the video to my library, select it, and then I am told "the url specified is not a supported media type". I checked the file size and format and everything seems okay.I am trying to find a solution but nothing has worked yet. What I need to do is very simple, e.g., "If the answer is YES to Q1, show Qs 2-5."I know this is easy to do once you've actually imported the file, but for my purposes, being able to set this up within the txt doc would be vastly preferred. Hello,Is there a way to do a loop & merge in combination with randomization, where the loop resets the randomization each time?A short elaboration of the problem:Survey takers are taking a 50/50 (win/lose) gamble or not taking a gamble. The 50/50 gamble changes each loop. If they choose to gamble, they see whether they won or lost, this is a text/graphic question in my setup. There are thus two different text/graphic questions that they can get, and I want them to get these randomly. However, with loop & merge, the randomization occurs only once; i.e., they only see the win question OR only see the lose question after each gamble in that block. Hi all, In my survey, I am asking participants how many children they have. Consequently, I would like to know the ages of each of their children. However, each participant has a different number of children, so I would like the question where I ask the ages of each of their children to adapt to the answer of the first one. That is, if they have 3 children, I want the survey to ask, "what is the age of child 1?;what is the age of child 2?;what is the age of child 3?". This would obviously change if they had more or fewer children.I'm sure there is some intelligent way to do this, but I'm relatively new to Qualtrics, so any guidance would be appreciated. We are considering switching from a standard 7 point scale to a 5 point scale to simplify the user experience across all questions on all surveys, so that on all attitude/opinion questions we use 5 points (except NPS). Most of these questions are single select multiple choice questions. Since we are pushing data to our data warehouse and pulling it into Tableau for reporting, we need to keep the same project and ideally also preserve the same questions from last year so that we can maintain the data in the same field names for year over year trending. .We'd like to either hide specific points on a scale, or replace the scale entirely with a new shorter version, without losing the data associated with responses that use the old format. Has anyone tried this before and if so, what worked/did not work?

Hello everyone,For my experiment, I have a trial where I want participants to either put items in the box, or check the option that says "this box should be left blank." The box with items and the "this box should be left blank" option belong to separate questions (a "Pick, group and rank" question and a multiple choice question). How can I turn on a logic where checking the "this box should be left blank" option is mandatory if a participant does not put any items in the box (i.e., if the previous question is unanswered)? I would appreciate any suggestions and let me know if you have any clarification questions.

Hello,I am a creating a risky financial decision task where participants choose between a guaranteed outcome or a 50/50 outcome with both gain and loss possibilities. Example:Option 1: Gain $8Option 2: Gain $9 or lose $7-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In that example, there is a base (8) and a multiplier (1/8) that is either positive or negative. The way I have the blocks set up is that the base value comes from loop & merge. Hello!!!I am creating a time allocation survey for my team, which will have a quarterly send out to gather how they spent their time on average a week, according to our companies 7 accountabilities. At the end of the survey, I have a verification question asking "you stated you work XXX hours a week, is this accurate? If not, please go back and adjust as needed." THE ISSUE is that when you go back in the survey (have the back buttons enables and autosave enables), the numbers you entered into the "Constant Sum" questions is erased. I know if it was me taking the survey, I would stop there and give up instantly. Anyone know where the issue might be? I know it is possible, because I am basing this survey off of another one that has similar questions, and they have it so they save individual responses (use a matrix question though, not constant sum).

Hi,I'm a brand admin at my university. We use CoreXM only, but we push the envelope on it...it has become our DIY Business Process Automation tool. I believe it needs a lot more than .5 FTE currently dedicated to it. I believe it can be leveraged (we have an enterprise license) across our organization to help departments and individuals be more effective and efficient, saving on time, funds, and effort. I'm looking for opinions and information from other Qualtrics customers. Do you have 1 or more FTEs dedicated to Qualtrics? If so, how many? And how many users do you support? If you don't have a FTE, do you wish you had?Any and all info that could be used to build (or tear down) a case for a FTE (or more) dedicated to Qualtrics is greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to know how many people came in to fill out my survey?I can not see how many people came in to fill out the survey because Qualtrix left me with only those who filled out the survey in full.I would be very grateful to anyone who can show me how I can see thisץ
