scoring reverse item doent work

I put together a survey that, among other things, examines 3 self-report tests. Each of the tests has reversed items. I used the advanced scoring option - I set the correct score for each reversed items. When I downloaded the data for analysis I noticed that the reversed items were not reversed according to my score setting. can someone know why?

Counterbalancing and Randomization without repetition in within-subject design.

Translating Conjoint Pricing Features

Hello Qualtrics Community, We are creating a conjoint survey that is to be fielded in multiple countries. The pricing feature of conjoint survey in Qualtrics does not allow for conversion of the pricing levels (amount) into different currencies and amounts.In order to analyze the conjoint pricing in its entirely, we need to field the same conjoint to all countries instead of creating them as separate surveys.How can we use the pricing feature in conjoint surveys to field in different languages ensuring that the pricing levels (amount) can be changed for each country. An alternate is to use an ordinary conjoint feature and enter the price (amount) for different countries and let the translation show the amounts for the respective countries.When using an ordinary conjoint feature to arrive at pricing, the benefits of the conjoint is lost. Is there a work around? How can we use an ordinary (non-pricing) conjoint feature to arrive at conjoint analysis for pricing? Thank you.

not matching

The data from qualtrics to excel is not matching. This probably is not the best picture of the data, not sure what I am doing wrong or not understanding. Question 1 in qualtrics is a 3 and in excel is a 4. Very new at this.

Can survey respondents see if a question is required?

At the moment, our surveys do not show the respondents if a question is required. Is there a way to turn that feature on? I looked around in the documentation and the community to find that answer but all I can find is how to make questions required on the backend.

Survey questions tailored to each participant?

I am conducting a survey experiment where I need to customize a few survey questions for each participant (based on their user ID data that I already have). What is the best way to do this at scale (e.g. for 500 participants)? I’m thinking of creating a new survey for each participant via Qualtrics API.

Dynamic Survey Response Options: Tailoring Choices Based on Individual Respondents' Preferences

Hi,I'm designing a set of surveys for a longitudinal study in Qualtrics. Starting from the second survey, I intend to include a question with response options based on certain aspects that people listed in the first survey. I need the three response options to vary depending on each individual responder. How can I program the question to display different response options for each participant? So far, the only solution I've found is creating a separate survey for each participant in the library, then linking the main survey as reference surveys, conditioning the presentation of the reference survey based on the participant's ID. The issue is, I have 600 participants, and going through this manual process for each one might lead to errors. Is there a simpler way to do this? There must be a way to link the response options to a database or directory that connects to the survey.

Trying to count mouse clicks within an iframe embedded in qualtrics

0 I'm trying to count the number of mouse clicks for participants playing a video game that I've embedded into the survey platform Qualtrics (i.e., with an iframe). I've adapted the code from (https://math.bu.edu/people/jackwalt/qualtrics-mousetracking/) that spits out the x/y mouse coordinates every 10 ms. However, I cannot get the code to also count the number of mouse clicks that occur within the iframe window. It's pretty easy to get it to count the clicks outside the iframe though. When I run this code it will give me a count of "0" in the data output (i.e., a column in a csv file) but now it also won't give me the x/y coordinates like it originally did. Survey flow is right but not working

I have added two conditions in the survey flow for one of my questions. I want the respondents to go to a new survey if they select “Yes” and go to the end of the survey is they select “No.” But when I take the survey on my phone, when I choose “Yes,” I will go to the end of the survey. I have published the survey multiple times but it doesn’t update. I have spent hours on it and it is killing me!! The picture is also attached.

Survey ending after MaxDiff block

I have a MaxDiff survey, and after the MaxDiff questions it brings me to the end of the survey, but I have a block after the MaxDiff block for follow up questions. Why isn’t it showing me the follow up questions? This is what my survey flow looks like.

version control of the data table in results

Hi, I have a question related to the data & analysis tab of Qualtrics and the Data Table where the respondents’ data are displayed (like rows per response). If I were to edit directly fields in the Data Table, are these automatically saved as a new version? Is there a version history of the Data Table available, similar to the survey version history?  Thanks!

Dashboard Filter: Forced to enter exact match, want partial matches? Is this possible?

Basic question. My keyword dashboard filter is forcing exact matches instead of letting me search partials.  For example, we have a Data Reference Record “David 12345”.  If I search “12345”, it does not pull up the record.  Is it possible to search partial matches?

full survey data export of survey

(CX) I have a data end user who uses dashboards that wants to be able to export all, not just the widgets, data from the survey at their leisure. I do not want to give them access to the survey, but I want to allow them to export for themselves the completed responses (this is an ongoing survey). Is there a way to do this from a dashboard? I do not want to set up a workflow and have them sent out individually as they are completed, rather they want to capture all the completed surveys in a “lump sum” at given intervals of time. I know I can just go into the survey data & analysis section and export but I am hoping to find a way they can self serve independently.

Email distribution, email change while survey and distributions are live

(CX) I sent out the original distribution and had a large number of bounces, turns out my org hadn’t updated one of our customers email domains in our system.I went into the XM directory and edited the contacts and placed those edited contacts on a new list, I then resent the distribution to them.My question is this - will they now get the reminder emails, assuming they haven’t finished the survey, twice since they are technically on both of those distribution lists? If so is there a way that I can remove them from that original distribution to avoid them getting those reminders? Ideally I would like to do the reminders off the 2nd distribution so that I can bump the date back since their invite technically wasn’t received until a day later than all of the others on the original distribution.

Hi all;I need to use a custom validation for a dropdown menu variable. For this validation I need to compare the value chosen with an embedded data. I don't find how to choose the selected choice for the left hand side. I can only choose one of the possible values in the dropdown menu. Thanks

Loop and merge where response in first question in loop is removed after each successive loop

I have 2 questions. Question 1 is a multiple choice drop down with 10 options. When a participant selects one of the 15 options, they then move to the next page and answer question 2. I have the loop and merge set up for question 2, based on question 1, with piped text coming from their response. Then after question 2 is answered, I need the loop to come back to question 1 and include only the 14 options removing the first option they selected in the first iteration of question 1. Then as the loop and merge continues for the second iteration, it will have 13 response options, where both answers for the loop 1 and loop 2 are removed.I have tried to execute this with question 1, page break, question 2. As well as question 1 in block 1 and question 2 in block 2. I seem to have gotten further with the second method, with qeustion 2 in block 2, as it will loop properly, but all response options for question 1 are always there.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Retake survey opens another user's response

I have two instances in which a survey respondent indicates their retake link opens another respondent’s answers. I have confirmed that the retake link is the one listed for their email address but the data saved is apparently not their data. Why might that happen? Is there some way personal links distributed by email could save data under another respondent’s email address? In case it’s relevant, these retakes are necessary because (I suspect) their organization is blocking cookies on company devices so they’re not able to reopen the survey after it times out.

Survey Report

Is there a way to merge a report for two surveys with similar questions?I was stuck with a malfunctionning link when I wanted to send a reminder and had to cretate a 2nd but identical survey. I now have two reports that I would like to merge into one with the 2 sets of responses. Is that possible?Thanks

Embedded Data Tips for Dates

I have some course surveys that I want to add an embedded data field to that will indicate the date the course started. I have been experimenting with different variable types (number, text, date) under the options menu, and this data never appears in the results tab in Qualtrics nor on a .csv export of the data. I’ve named the field CourseStrartDate.  The results are being ingested into a database via an AI (I am not the one handling that), so it would be nice to have this piece of information.   I have three other fields that are text variable types (instructor, CourseName, CourseType), and they consistently appear.  Can anyone advise?

Allowing multiple survey entries, with SSO Authentication when survey is associated with a panel

Dear Qualtrics community,I'm relatively new to this platform and would greatly appreciate some assistance or guidance in the right direction.My objective is to create a survey for a specific panel where we'll gather data from participants on a weekly basis. We're using SSO for authentication, the type is Shibboleth. My challenge is to display participant data from the previous week's survey. I've managed to achieve this using embedded data and corresponding contact lists. However, I've encountered a limitation: I can only do this if I associate the survey with a panel, but then participants are restricted to taking the survey only once. Additionally, JavaScript is blocked, eliminating that as an option.Is there a way to allow multiple survey entries with an associated panel? I hope I've explained my question clearly.Thank you for your support.
