I want to disable selected rows in a matrix.@TomG helped me out on something similar. However I want to rewrite the code to disable selected rows (say row 1 & 2) in column 1jQuery(".c4 input[type='text']").prop("disabled",true);  

Qualtrics Newbie, here. We are a nonprofit org with a very limited number of user licenses. Is it possible for someone who is not a “user” to do anything with the projects/surveys we create? For example, we will have a templated post-class survey that we will need to duplicate dozens of times over a year and send out to class participants. Can someone outside of our licensed users do this (update the template for the class, import data to embed, view/download results)?

Hello,  Im trying to design a survey for an experiment I'm conducting. I have 4x conditions that all participants will see. I also have two parts to the survey (important for later, but rn I just am focusing on the first part).  So, within the four conditions, I have 4 types of presentation (Pie chart, Bar chart, infographic, figure), each with 4 possible variations  (property 1, property 2, property 3, property 4). The properties are attached to the graphs which I will upload as images. In each condition, I want to display one type of graph, with one type of property. After the participant has completed all four conditions, i want them to have seen all types of presentation and all types of property, with none repeated across conditions. Here's what a participant might see: Condition 1: Pie chart, property 4Condition 2: Infographic, property 1Condition 3: Bar chart, property 3Condition 4: Figure, property 2 

When attempting to distribute survey via email I keep receiving the error message below. I have checked the settings and can’t understand how to locate what is preventing the send. Any ideas?  

Hello, I have a question regarding duplicate entries in my data (Ballot box stuffing = TRUE)1) How does Qualtrics handle these entries? Does it flag both the original entry and the duplicate entry from the same IP-address and do both entries get the value TRUE? Or is only the second entry by the same respondent flagged as a duplicate?2) How can I identify which responses belong to the same respondent/IP address? It is an anonymous survey, so I don't have any identifying information like IP address. Any help is much appreciated :)

Hello,  I have a constant sum matrix for a finaincials section, we want to exclude bad debt from the sum. Is there a way in the formula via JAVA script or other question set up, to allow for altering the equation to exclude a cell in the matrix from the sum/ total?

Hello,I was wondering if anyone knows how to assign our own random IDs to the Qualtrics survey rather than use the Qualtrics-generated one.My study involves people first completing the Qualtrics survey before being redirected to a separate testing website that requires them to enter a unique ID to login.I have a sample list of pre-made login IDs for that testing website that I want to upload into Qualtrics and have it randomly assign those IDs to responders, which they can then copy into the testing site after completing the survey and continue on with the study. This is so I can track responders’ answers in the survey to the results from that testing site.Would this be at all possible?Thank you!

Qualtrics UI doesn’t seem to have a dark mode. Am I missing something? dark theme would be easier on the eyes for those of us who spend a lot of time designing and working in the app.

I have integrated Qualtrics with an LMS for our end of course surveys, and I am trying to use the survey responseId to generate a link to an individual response back into Qualtrics. I see that in the web services, there are fields for both responseId and responseLink, but the link is incredibly long, and I was hoping to just use the responseId to generate a url for our customer service or instructor teams to link to a user’s survey.  (Something like /qualtrics.com/responses/{responseId}) Any suggestions?

Hi ! In my survey, I have a block of questions with the following structure: Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4for the first iteration of my Loop, I wanted certain questions to appear (Q1 and Q2) and then to skip directly to another one (Q5). Hi everyone, I am right now in the data collection process and I'm wondering whether there is a possibility to get an additional Block Name information when exporting the data set on qualtrics to excel. I could not find it in the options though. It would be very helpful as I have 54 Blocks, each representing a different illness (participants are randomly assigned to 9 of 54 illness blocks), so right now I cannot filter based on a specific illness(block). Thanks in advance! Lea

Hi, I am trying to set up a question that has the visual output displayed in the image.Action requested for the task of this question: select images from the right and left column and drag and drop the selected images to an empty box of the central column. I have two large surveys, each with dozens of blocks structured in several layers of survey flow. I need to combine them in a way where I’d really appreciate if I could copy large sections of one survey’s flow (not just blocks) and preserve the complicated branching.I know that I can copy a survey, so I’ve copied one of them to start as the jumping-off point, but I now need to bring in material from the second survey. Any tips? Is there any way I can copy groups?

So, I've been searching all day, but couldn't find an easy answer. We need to collect the lat and long of everyone answering the survey. I know Qualtrics get the lat and long automatically, but we are limited and CANNOT use the Qualtrics App. With this, the lat and long we get are based on the ip address. We need the actual lat and lon of the phone GPS when answering the survey.I must say I have no experience with API or WEB Service. So if by any chance there's an easy step-by-step on how to get this data and include as part of the survey data collected, would be much appreciated.Tks.

Hi,I'm pretty new to Qualtrics and have hit a snag right out of the gate with my first survey build. Here’s the deal: I have created some vignettes for a survey, spinning different tales by randomizing bits of the story using embedded data—think changing up names, genders, locations, and the like. With this trick, I'm aiming for around 300 unique stories. My plan is to chuck about 10 of these vignettes into each survey, but I want to make sure that I am drawing a different version each time (sampling without replacement).How can I use the survey flow or other tools in Qualtrics to do this, without having to code anything in JS. Any pointers would be super appreciated!

I am curious if it’s possible to add an ‘extend text’ option for the text/graphic questions. These questions are not ones that respondents would answer; but informational text boxes. Some text is lengthy, and we want to preserve screen space. Is this feature possible?

Hi ! I am running a survey that needs to ask the same question 20 times changing one word in the question. To do so, I have created a loop with the 20 options and selected Randomise loop order to make sure that these questions appear in a random order.  Up to here everything works fine.  The problem is that now I have to ask a follow up question - but I want this question to appear only for 6 out of the 20 questions. And I want this follow up question to appear directly after the previous one, not after the whole loop is completed.  For instance: Question 1: What is your opinion on …A… ?For this question we have 20 options, so: A,B,C,D,E,F,… up to 20.I want this question to appear for the 20 options but in a random order.  Question 2: Do you know where A comes from?This question

Hi community! I am currently designing a vignette experiment. I have 300 unique vignettes and I want every respondent to randomly get assigned 15 vignettes to be rated. Every vignette must be rated 20 times in total. How do I make sure that respondents get diverse vignettes and that every vignette is rated 20 times. So I will have 400 respondents. Kind regards

Hello, I'm curious if there is a way to change both the header and background color of a survey based on an embedded data field. For example: If Sample = G, show respective banner for G group and a black backgroundIf Sample = H, show respective banner for H group and a blue backgroundIf Sample = I, show respective banner for I group and a white backgroundI was able to get the headers to show for each group by setting up an embedded field for header URL and piping in HTML under Header in Look and Feel. Is there is a way to include background color with this? My survey currently has a white background for all three group, since white is the default under Look and Feel. Any help is appreciated.

I would love to get your help with the following:I have a side-by-side question where1st column is a Yes/No question 2nd is a Likert scaleI need the response for the 1st column, but for the 2nd ONLY if they selected ‘Yes’ in the 1st. If they selected ‘No’, they don’t need to answer the 2nd one at all, and ‘force response’ won’t let them proceed so I figured I need to apply ‘custom validation’. But I am a bit confused on how to design this with the ‘custom validation’ (the ‘AND’ and ‘OR’ logic etc.)This logic needs to apply to all items.Looking forward for your tips!

I’m interested in collecting data with the PHQ-9, but I want to screen people out of the 9-item measure by first giving respondents the PHQ-2. My question is how do I Display the PHQ-9 based on the score on the PHQ-2?
