Hi, I'm creating a self-assessment tool in the form of a survey. I've used piped text to summarise responses and am asking for further comments on these responses. The questions are organised into categories and each question has 4 possible choices, one being 'this does not apply'. The piped text question lists all responses within the categories, however I do not want the 'this does not apply' responses to be displayed. How can I display all responses within the category and exclude the 'this does not apply' responses. ! Hello Community! I am working on the above qualtrics survey and I am trying to figure out how to get it to average all of the sliders as the user fills out the form. Basically we are providing a grade, as if on a math test in college, but that grade is calculated based on the averages of these 9 sliders that you see here. I've been trying to set embedded data from a loop and merge function. There are three fields in the loop and merge and I am trying to have all three set to three different variables. I am using the same code for all three, but only field 1 is setting. All of the embedded data variables I want to fill are labeled and empty at the top of the survey so that's not the problem. I have a survey I am trying to test on an iPad using the offline app for Apple. The survey has javascript I am trying to test by I am not able to get alert messages to appear and there is no console to print things to. Is there a way I can get javascript alerts to appear? They are appearing on the survey using the Android offline app.

Hi All, I have custom JavaScript in a survey which allows us to have PDF's pop out as modal windows in the current survey. Ive included a sample of the HTML, the JavaScript, and the entire code we've put into the header. I am not a web developer and just figured this out using trial and error, and similar cases to mine. It's working well on Chrome and on Firefox. On Safari 12.1 (and not earlier versions), we have a whitespace error where a fieldset element is automatically set to the height of the source images. This makes users have to scroll down an enormous amount before proceeding with the survey. I tried to write some code that would detect viewport size and re-size the fieldset accordingly, but the complexity is getting away from me. One clue: On Safari, the whitespace error occurs. When I click "developer tools" and the toolbox opens in the browser, Safari fixes the whitespace error itself. Then, when I close developer tools, it remains fixed. Does anybody have an idea why

Dear community, I have two questions regarding the matrix table in the attached screenshot. 1. The distance between (1) and (2) and (6) and (7) is different than the distance between the other scales. I guess this could be due to the text above (1) and (7). Does anyone know how to make the distance equal between all scales from (1) to (7)? 2. Is there a chance to decrease the distance between the "continue"-button / "back"-button and the last item/row in the matrix table? Highly appreciate any feedback! Best Philipp

Dear community, I want to have a line break for a column name in a matrix table. In the Qualtrics edit mode, the line break works as I want it to work (picture attached: "Qualtrics_edit"). However, in the preview mode of my survey, the line break is not displayed correctly as it is in the edit mode (picture attached: "Qualtrics_preview"). For "Multiple Choice" --> "Multi Select Box" question, is this type of question support users to select more than 2 choices? Can Qualtrics save the all the answers selected? Also, I find that the box of this question is too small. How can I resize the box and change the font size? I have tried to add css code in Header. But I found that the styles of all selection questions were changed. I just want to resize one Multi Select Box question. How could I do it with jQuery? Thanks very much.

Hello all! I'm struggling to generate a multi-level content validation code to restrict responses on a participant ID question. Participants will generate their ID's by entering the first two letters of their first name and the first two letters of their last name into two separate text entry questions. I want to restrict their response options to non-numeric responses of strictly 2 characters (John = JO). There is custom validation that only applies to numeric range, there is content validation that can restrict responses to non-numeric entries, and there is character range validation that restricts the number of characters entered but does not distinguish between numeric and non-numeric responses. Qualtrics told me a custom code could solve this problem, restricting both the content range and the characters to non-numeric, can anyone help? Bonus points if the solution includes a custom error message when these values are entered incorrectly. Thanks!

Hello! I am trying to program an experiment that involves a word game similar to Boggle. The participants will be given a 5x5 grid with 25 letters and asked to form as many words as possible in 3 minutes. Each puzzle has between 350 and 400 possible correct answers, and the participants will need to receive feedback between puzzles. I tried using the Scoring option, but the only way to do it is by creating hundreds of text boxes and inputting the hundreds of correct answers for each and every one of them. This would obviously be very time consuming, and I'm hoping there might be some kind of coding that would help me get around it. Does anyone know if there is a way to circumvent this using JavaScript? If there is, would someone be willing to supply me with the code to do so? Thank you! Sami

The options for the single-choice questions are based on the options selected in the previous multiple-choice question. If multiple-choice questions are only selected for one option, the single-choice questions are selected by default. does not display the multiple-choice questions. Jump directly to the next question.
