Hello, I am trying to remove css property using jquery but I can't make it work. Please take a look at the below code: ! The default css property value is ```css .Skin #Questions{ overflow:auto } ``` I want to remove the overflow property. Can anyone tell me why the jquery isn't working? Thank you!

I am wondering if anyone can help me with backgrounds. I have uploaded an image that I am using for background of the first two pages of my survey (through the Look and Feel section). I would then like to upload a different image to be used for the remainder of the questions in my survey. Only problem is, I cannot figure out how to do this. I am currently setting the background of the rest of the survey to white using JavaScript CSS in the questions (see below). As far as I understand, I can only use this code to set the background to a block colour or link to an online image. The overall puzzle is to skip a respondent to the appropriate place in a new survey based on their responses to a previous survey. About 50 respondents completed at least half of the original survey, and I would like to present these respondents with a short survey of key remaining questions. The idea is that many respondents will not at this point complete the entire survey, but they may be willing to answer a handful of basic demographic questions that would then make their existing data more useful for analysis. I used their emails to invite the respondents, and planned to use the information on where they left off the survey to tailor what questions they would see in the follow-up survey. I would like to skip the respondents to the question at which they quit the first survey, and then they can continue from there, completing the selected demographic questions that they have not yet seen. Hi all, Is it possible to subset embedded data, generally? And is it possible to do so for custom HTML code? In particular, I'm displaying photos with text beneath them as response options (each response looks like "<img src="..."/><p>...</p>"), participants select one of the responses, the selected response is saved as embedded data, and the the embedded data/selected response is later re-displayed for ratings (e.g., "How extraverted is this person?"). When I re-display the selected responses, I don't want to show the text originally displayed beneath them (i.e., <p>...</p>). Is it possible to subset the embedded data so as to display only the image portion of each response (i.e., <img src="..."/>)? Thanks

I have a survey embedded within a Learning Management System, when the user completes survey I would like users to redirected back to the LMS course home page, instead after adding course link to ending survey the course home page ends up embedded within the course itself. Is there a way to avoid this and have the embedded survey close and user be returned to course home page? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Hi. I am trying to make a custom feature where participants highlight text that has been pulled from a server. I am using the Qualtrics highlight question, and at the moment I am able to display the text from the server in the question, but not able to populate the section where the highlighting feature is enabled. Please see photo for reference. ! The text from the top half of the photo in bullet points was pulled from a server, but you cannot highlight any of the text there. The paragraph in the bottom half of the photo was copy pasted in to the section where highlighting is enabled. Is there a way to populate this section with text from a server using Javascript? Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to Qualtrics and JS. In my survey I ask respondents for their zip code and would like (a) turn responses to upper case and (b) to store their responses as embedded data. While I managed to do turn all responses to upper case, I did not manage to save the response as embedded data. I tried the following: `Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() { var input = $("QR~" + this.questionId); var text = PATH; input.value = text.toUpperCase(); input.on('change', () => input.value = input.value.toUpperCase()); var newvar = input; Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('zipCode', newvar); });` Note: PATH stands for the precise location of ChoiceTextEntryValue. With this code, I successfully turn responses to upper case, but the embedded data just says "array". If I use `var newvar = input.value` instead, the embedded data field is not filled. Any hints or recommendations are very welcome! Thanks a lot for your support in advance!

I would like to delay the last question in my survey that the first two questions display as soon as the visitor enters the site, but the third, last one, is appear only with exit intent and if the two first questions are answered.

Can I program an intercept to display to every 3rd visitor to a specific area of a website? I don't see anything that would allow me to, and the webinar didn't cover this.

I closed a survey through the Update Survey API, and then checked its status with the Get Survey API -- it says "isActive": False, which is exactly what I wanted. But when I check the UI, it still says "Active" next to the survey name. Is this the expected behavior? How can I be sure that it has actually been closed?

Is it possible to lengthen the width of the text box on the Authenticator screen? I would like for the people taking our survey to be able to see the entirety of the PIN that we require then enter, but the box is very short. Thanks!

I have the following setup: Subjects are asked from which state they are from and consecutively (Question "state"), based on their selection in "state", can choose from their more specific region in a question "region_x" where x indicates the state that was previously chosen, i.e. for each of the 20 states I have a different region-question, of which subjects only see the one that corresponds to their previous state-choice. I now have a geographic variable, which is a bit more aggregate than "region", which I call "region2". I also have a csv-file which maps all regions from "region" into the respective "region2". I want to do this procedure: 1) Create a variable "region" which stores the choice from the respective "region_x" for each participant. 2) Create a second variable "region2" which stores the right aggregate region based on my csv-datafile. 3) Display the entry for "region2" in a later question "Q11" as part of the question text to the subject. Hello everyone, I'm new to the custom code of Qualtrics thus need detailed help with launching a lexical decision task on Qualtrics. I've got the example code from jspsych, and I have my own customzied word list. I've seen many quotes to different webpages and got really confused. I'm not sure if I will quote the "libraries" in the CSS and need an external web server to save the data (or maybe I can save the data as a csv file in Qualtrics? But then how do I download the data)? Essentially, I need a step-by-step guide on how to make the example code work on Qualtrics. Any help is much appreciated!

Hi everyone, I have a question that shows a list of PC names that pertains to the user taking the survey. They are required to choose options from a dropdown list for thoe PC names. I have created an embedded data called "OtherSelected" with the value of whenever Other Departmental Shared PC is selected from the dropdown list. I want it so that my next question displays the PC names where the user selected "Other Departmental Shared PC" for that PC name in list view. I am having trouble with the JavaScript. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

In a text entry questions with text type “Form” and 3 fields, I want to use a custom regex to allow each field to be either blank/numeric or a numeric with a trailing “%”. I am using this regex: \\s*|^\\d{1,9}(\\.\\d{1,2})?%?$ which I tested and does what I want. In the form edit mode, there is no "match regex" so for each of the 3 fields I have to use “No Validation” because the percent sign would fail if it were “Numerical Value” and I want numbers, so “Text Value (Non-numeric)” is inappropriate as well. (‘Numerical Value’ also would not permit the percent sign.) So I m stuck setting the entire question "Validation Type" to Custom Validation. Then my logic looks like this: Pass if... Q3 (option 1) 'matches regex' [as above] AND Q3 (option 2) 'matches regex' [as above] AND Q3 (option 3) 'matches regex' [as above] After doing this *no* validation occurs because, I assume, each field is set to "No Validation". So, is this Catch-22 or am I missing something?

I want to condition on a question that has a custom validation Matches Regex (code: ^((0[1-9])|(1[0-2]))\\/((19[0-9][0-9])|(20[0-1][0-9]))$ which allows the user to simply type the mm/yyyy as opposed to a full date). If the date is less than 12/2018, then I want to ask a subsequent question. If the answer is 12/2018 or "higher" (e.g. 01/2019) then I will not ask the subsequent question.

Essentially, the screen will say: "Blah blah...Look at the options below. The first two options (font color is green)....and the last three options (font color is red)....The ones that are highlighted in yellow are the ones you selected. Hi Qualtrics gang! I am looking to pass one Unique Identifier (from a third party distributor) from one survey into another survey via Qualtrics. How would I go about doing this please? I know that I need to enter a code onto the end of my URL- but I can't figure out how to pass the Unique Identifier from one survey to the next. Many thanks!!!
