Qualtrics with Google Map - Default Location

Hello, I am trying to change the default location of Google Map that I integrated into my Qualtrics survey (I refer to the GitHub for this: https://github.com/pkmnct/qualtrics-google-map-lat-long). My question is how I can change the default location based on the respondent's location. Here is my logic: 1) Remember the respondent's city using ${loc://City} 2) Based on the recorded city name, change the latitude and longitude. For example, I tried like this: var mapCenterLat; var mapCenterLng; if ("Austin".equals("${loc://City}")){ mapCenterLat = 30.267294; mapCenterLng = -97.749340; } else if ("Houston".equals("${loc://City}")){ mapCenterLat = 29.755742; mapCenterLng = -95.369886; } else { mapCenterLat = 30.310873; mapCenterLng = -95.455806; } But I failed to load the Google Map. I think I did not use if-then statement of Java appropriately, but I cannot figure out what is wrong. Please advice me. Thank you very much in advance.

How to get Qualtrics API

The Qualtrics access token can be accessed from the account settings, but I can't, because it asks to upgrade my account and I don't want to do that because it is for a test purpose.I referred some websites and come up with a API url to get the access token.But it requires client ID and client secret. I couldn't find them in my account.If any one can help me where can I find them or giving another way to get the access token and API call url , it would be helpful.

Broken Survey Flow- Survey set to "expire" 3 days has stopped working

I'm trying to "Fix" a survey flow in which we had the survey set to "expire" 3 days after it is sent and via the "Embedded Data:" in the Survey Flow this previously worked and now it doesn't. The person who set it up can't remember why they set it up this way. I'm new to Qualtrics, so I'm trying to figure out how to fix this. Any help, direction, or insight would be appreciated. Currently we have in the Survey Flow- Set Embedded Data- A bunch of stuff integrating with SF.... ExpiryDate=${date://OtherDate/Y/-3 days}-${date://OtherDate/m/-3 days}-${date://OtherDate/d/-3 days} (this is where it is going wrong.....) expired=false Then Branch If: If ExpiryDate is Greater Than ${e://Field/sfDate_Resource_Center_Survey_Sent__c} Set Embedded Data: expired=true End of Survey I can't figure out where "OtherDate" comes from....

Retrieve Survey Details using Qualtrics API

Hello Colleagues, I am using 'Get Survey' API to retrieve survey details. It is giving me complete survey details in the json format. I am integrating this API into my integration platform. I would like to know what would be the maximum size of this survey details? Is there any size limitation to retrieve survey details? Best regards, Pragnesh

Notify website on submitting survey with Response ID

Is there anyway that our website will get notified after successful survey submission. Also, let us know is there any way we will get Response Id in javascript in thank you page.

Not getting latest responses in download

I am using following API to download responses from our survey SurveyId (SV_51p29YnUfv2F045). How to submit data from external page to existing Qualtrics survey?

Hi there. We have a feature on our website for which I'd like to gather responses, right alongside the feature, and send the responses to an existing Qualtrics survey. I figure it comes down to one of these options (please let me know if there's another way): * build a custom frontend form, and submit answers to the Qualtrics API via JavaScript * somehow embed the Qualtrics survey as an iframe (?) Either is OK with me in concept, but I don't know how to proceed. I'd appreciate any pointers or help!

How to save the embedded data in the csv file + how to show the content of the embedded data in a Q

I am designing an experiment using qualtrics in which participants answer a set of questions. If their answer is correct, they will get 10 points. Otherwise, they will lose 10 points. To get a feel for it click on this toy working example (https://stanforduniversity.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3CcmpdDVrIcxZCB) The correct answer for the first question is cat and the correct answer for the second question is dog. You need to hit space after each question. I have no background in java script and I am learning as I am doing this project. I need help with understanding 1. How to display the accumulative score on the screen. Any possibility that I can add countdown timing with single question per page is applied?

Hi, I am trying to add countdown timing to my survey (it is an examination to participant) and it has be to one question per page. So I have modified in Look & Feel ans set Question per page as 1. However I could not see the timing anymore due to the limitation (timing only available to a set of questions that displayed in same page). Any alternative way I can make the timing works? Or maybe prompt them when it is 5 minutes left?

How can I import some of the data from a survey into a SQL database.

We are currently using .net and C# to read/write to this database but I don't see any options for that in the API documentation. The users would like these updates to happen real time but that may not be an option.

How do you make jQuery logic not to carry over to the other questions?

In qualtrics, we have a set of questions which a participant has to answer and each question has a unique answer. If the participant answers it correctly, the background color will change blue otherwise it will turn red. It seems like the logic for the answer "cat" carries over to the following questions. Add and view embedded data

I am trying to add an embedded data to my survey. Whenever the user answers a certain question, this new embedded data field gets populated. I am coding it liked this: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() {.... this.addEmbeddedData("Profile", "High"); } so a new data field "Profile" is created with the string "High" (for a particular questions). When I export the data to view it on SPSS, I am unable to view this new data field anywhere. Am I adding and viewing this new field incorrectly?

Write Custom Code in Qualtrics

Hello Collegaues, I would like to integrate Qualtrics with my product. Ideally integration between products can be done by below 2 approaches... 1. Create Subscription (or Web-Hook) : In Qualtrics we can create subscriptions by providing 'PublicationURL' for different events like activeSurvey, completedResponse etc. This PublicaionURL will receive payload (IDs, timestemp etc.) from Qualtrics once respective event is triggered. Using this IDs we have to call respective Qualtrics APIs and get the details. And than transform Qualtrics data into desired format and send it to the target system. 2. Write Custom Code In Qualtrics : Write custom code in the Qualtrics after specific event i.e. activeSurvey, completedResponse etc. triggered; transferm Qualtrics data in desired format and send it to the the target system. Approach-1 is working. Is Qualtrics is providing any mechanism to write Custom Code after specific events (Approach-2)? Best regards, Pragnesh

Retrieve Single Survey Response

Hello Colleagues, I am able to download survey responses in zip file using Qualtrics API "Get Response Export File (New)". Is there any Qualtrics API available where I can retrieve 'single' survey response details using 'response id'? This way I can improve performance when 'Create Subscription' send me 'response_id' and I can ask for response details only for that 'response_id' only. Otherwise I have download all the survey responses in the zip file and retrieve response details for specific 'response_id' provided by 'Create Subscription'. Best regards, Pragnesh

How can I pull all distributions at once?

Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out how to pull all the distributions for my survey at once. List Distribution only pulls 100 at a time and has an offset. I'd like to just pull it all at once rather than offsetting 9-10 times. Any help is much appreciated.

Limiting Survey API Data Extraction to Prior 10 Days

Hi, We are successfully extracting our Qualtrics survey data using the API into a csv file. Question, how can we modify the API script such that only the prior 10 days are pulled? (It currently extracts all history) Also, we'd like to pass today's date into the title of the csv file that would only have the last 10 days of data. Is this possible? Thanks, Kevin

How to Share a Mailing List with the API?

I've created a mailing list and uploaded contacts to it using the API. However, I haven't been able to figure out how to share it with a specific Group using the API. This is possible through the UI either by using "Create Shared List" or by dragging an existing list into the Group folder. Is there also a way to do it with the API?

Limits on uploading contacts to list

I have a large list of contacts (~175,000) to upload to a mailing list. Even when breaking it into small chunks (only 1000 contacts each), I'm running into API errors. It successfully uploads about 4 chunks of 1000, and then I get the following unhelpful error: {"meta":{"error":{}}} I've tried adding 30 seconds of wait time in between API calls, which slightly helps but doesn't entirely resolve the problem. The documentation states that the API can handle 50 concurrent requests, so I'm not sure why it's failing after about 3 or 4.

Searching Email Address using RecipientID

Hi, I am setting up a callback to receive "survey completed response" event to our own server. Ref: https://api.qualtrics.com/v3/reference/create-subscription#create-subscription I am using "surveyengine.completedResponse.{SurveyID}" topic. I would receive "RecipientID" from the callback. I am trying to use that RecipientID to get the Recipient's Email Address from our mailing list using another API call. Problem for me is, we have multiple mailing lists and it looks like I need to specify mailing list ID in API call, that means, I have to make multiple API calls for each mailing list till I found the match RecipientID in one of those lists. Ref: https://api.qualtrics.com/v3/reference/get-contact Please advise if I can make a single call to get the email address of a RecipientID. Or Is there anyway to setup the surveys so that Survey Completed Response callback will include recipient's email address? I don't want to add the extra input field in the surveys to collect email ad

Is it possible to close a survey through the API, but allow people to finish it?

When you close a survey through the UI, you are given an option to allow those who are currently taking it to finish. I know that I can close a survey through the API by updating isActive to False, but I don't want to kick anybody out of the survey if they're in the process of completing it. Is it possible to allow them to finish?

I get the error 403 when getting responses with qualtrics API

Hi all, I am authorized by the brand admin to use the qualtrics API. I have generated an API token, but still get the 403 error when doing a post request, specifically with: downloadRequestResponse = requests.request("POST", downloadRequestUrl, data=downloadRequestPayload, headers=headers) when using python for getting the survey responses (https://api.qualtrics.com/docs/response-exports) How do I solve this?
