How to make a video play on Qualtrics

Dear all, I was wondering how I can make this HTML (attached) work on Qualtrics survey. Also regarding the JavaScript code (HTML) I will need it to make the skip ad button appearing next to the video screen, to be moved to the middle of screen and semi-transparent. I will appreciate any help... Multi choice, multi answer with text

Hi, I would like to have a multi choice text question with the ability to add a comment to each answer, and also to allow a user to select and fill in multiple options. I can get multi-select to work with no text, but when I have text boxes too it forces a single option and throws this error: ! Any suggestions? Thanks

Position of two text entry fields in multiple choice question

Hello everyone, I'm working in a multiple choice question with two other specify fields. When I test the survey, the text entry fields appear below the "Other" boxes. I would like both text entry fields to appear on the right hand side of the boxes. I already have a code that works in multiple choice questions with only one other specify field, but it doesn't work for two. Does anyone have a code for this? !

Randomisation

I have 6 pairs of questions in which one in the pair refers to e.g. a meat dish and the other refers to e.g. a non meat dish, i want to randomly present each participant with 6 questions (one from each pairing) on the condition that they will overall get 3 random meaty and 3 random non meaty dishes without 2 from the same pair being used. Is this possible? I cant seem to get both no double from a pair and 3 from each to happen together randomly?

How to download PDF response report in bulk?

Reference thread https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/83/pdf-exports-for-all-responses So I tried to write a Python script to download the PDF response reports in bulk. And I was able to create individual links to the PDF using the link format mentioned in the above thread. However it requires login into Qualtrics when opening the link in a browser, so it might need an active session and cookies? I have tried using Requests package to post my credentials, but the response I got is still an HTML page instead of PDF. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

How to Pipe text into responses?

I have a survey where I want to pipe in responses from a previous question and add text to them. For example, if I select "Financial software" on the previous question, I want the next question to say "How likely are you to recommend your financial software?" Any help would be appreciated!

Error on email distribution quantity limited to 10 emails is incorrect, I've only sent a test twice

"Your email distribution cannot be sent at this time. You are currently allowed to send 10 emails per week. Please contact your account representative to increase this limit ." This is an error msg. I receive, the problem that have only sent myself and another person a TEST email twice. What's happening?

How to randomize blocks?

I'm creating a survey with four different conditions, and have designed it in such a way that there are four different blocks. Is there a way to make sure the participants only see one block, and to have it randomized between participants?

Aligning text vertically in column multiple choice response

I was told by Qualtrics help that I can't format text inside columns to align vertically to top of column. Here is a snapshot of what I currently have but I want the four columns to have text aligned to top of the column to match "Excel" category. I am guessing I need to insert HTML code using the rich text editor in each column but I tried valign=top and vertical align=top and it doesn't do anything to move the text up. Can someone help me please? Thanks so much! !

Issue with intercept deployment code and google tag manager

Having an issue launching my site intercept. We have implemented the code via google tag manger and see the deployment script firing on the page. When trying to trigger the intercept at 100% intercept rate, it is failing. How can I connect response data from 2 different surveys?

Participants fill Survey1. A the end of the Survey 1 they are randomly directed to one of the 2 websites (website1 or website2). Thus, the participant leaves Survey 1 and goes to the website he was randomly assigned to. From that website, he clicks a link which directs him to Survey2. I want to connect the answers of the same participant across the 2 surveys. Is this possible? What are the steps? I have tried to put query strings and embedded data but I had to terminate Survey1 by directing them to Survey 2, but I don't want that, because participants need to be directed to the website. Thank you in advance for your help!

Boolean logic query

Hi there, I hope i'm in the right place. I'm looking to use a question using 3 components to branch to a termination page. Using boolean logic I have "If A is less than x or B is less than x or C is less than x" Send to termination page. I am finding that it will direct if A is less than x (great!). But if A is less and B or C is greater than x it will still direct to the termination page. I am looking for the direction page only if A, B and C all have scores less than x e.g. If X= 5 and if A is 5, B is 0 and C is 0 then proceed with the study A is 0, B is 5 and C is 0 then proceed with the study A is 0, B is 5 and C is 5 then proceed with the study I can't quite get my head around it, can anyone help out?

I want to collect the Country Code in a Contact List. Anyone found how to do that?

I have a survey that uses a form to collect First Name, Last Name and Phone Number. I've added validation to the last field to be sure I receive all 10 digits. That information then populates a contact list that I want to use for SMS distribution of other surveys. However, when I try to send an SMS message to the individuals in that contact list, the messages fail because the phone number is missing the country code. When I manually add a "1" in front of the area code in the contact list, the message are successfully delivered. If I ask the survey participant to enter the "1" the validation fails because there are too many numbers. Is there a secret to getting the country code in the contact list automatically?

Viewing embedded data in survey editor

We want to insert piped text via embedded data fields using Qualtrics API I am able to insert embedded data successfully using the API. But Piped Text appears as a line of code in survey editor and only when I preview, it is replaced with the inserted value Is there any way to see piped text value in survey editor directly? Thanks

How to reference to a selected choice on the current page that hasn't been submitted yet?

Dear All I am looking to take a respondent's currently selected (but not yet submitted) choice, perform a mathematical operation on it and then display it to the respondent on the same page as the question, so they can see the result before they submit their answers. Enabling Button not working as intended

Hello everyone, I am new here, so please bare with me if my format is wrong. Here is what's going on. I have a custom next button using JS. After clicking on custom next button twice, it will have a popup asking user to confirm. What I want is, if the user is sure, then I can record what his answer was (as an embedded data field) and go on to the next question. However, a weird problem occurred, I can only record the user choice but cannot let it automatically go on to the next page. Custom code to add an editor to respondents' entries in the Essay Text Box?

Qualtrics does NOT have an editor built into the survey tool for respondents to use to format their entries in the Essay Text Box. Can anyone provide code to use with JavaScript or HTML View to add an editor to the Essay Text Box?

Creating a very brief form on Qualtrics

Hi, I need to create an extremely brief form asking students to provide valid contact information (email and phone number) as well as where they are employed. There will be literally three questions (text box). I was actually looking for something similar to Inline Email Questions, which shows questions in the email body. However, Inline Email Questions are limited to only Single Answer Multiple Choice and NPS® Questions. Any advice on how to make this brief form user-friendly? Our students receive too many surveys toward the end of their program. This form will be one of them. I really hope they won't think this is another survey (which is not). Why are totals in crosstabs incorrect?

We're new to using Qualtrics :) We have put together some crosstabs from our survey and when we look at them the totals don't add up when we merge categories. For example, there's 45 and 45 and the total is 88. We want to use the Chi squares, but we can't if it looks like the data is messed up somehow.

Add from contacts - Embedded Data

In Survey Flow when I click on Add from contacts and select a respective contact list I see that various other embedded data fields are been added as well. How can I restrict this...so that the embedded data fields of only that contact list is pulled?
