Edit response report email

Hello! We have a survey being used to gauge feedback during a classroom teaching observation. We would like the results to be emailed out when the survey is submitted, which I know how to do using the trigger or the new email workflow. However, there is one text entry question we would like to exclude from the response report email. Is this possible?

How to avoid SSO authentication via Personal Link

Hi Experts,We are building the Exit Feedback survey in our instance and we have SSO enabled in our instance. We are trying to send survey invites automatically. When testing this, we observed that when the participant tries to click the link in the email, it asks for SSO authentication. But we want the survey link to take the customer directly to the survey page instead of the SSO authentication.  We observed this behavior after configuring SSO. How to bypass this SSO authentication on a survey link as we cannot grant SSO to every other person. Please let me know how to handle this. Regards,Balaji

Repeated-Measures - random assignment?

Hi, I was hoping to get some help with the survey flow for my study.I am conducted a repeated-measures study where all participants complete 18 trials of a task (labeled T1 to T18). Each trial has 6 potential versions (e.g., for T1, there is T1.A, T1.B, T1.C, T1.D, T1.E, T1.F). I want to design the survey flow so that for each trial, participants are randomly assigned to one version of each trial. However, they should only get three of each "version" (i.e., if they get T1.A, T2.A, and T3.A, they should not get any more version A's for the rest of the study). For instance, once they reach 3 "A" versions, the following trials should be randomly assigned to versions B-F. The outcome should be that each participant will get eighteen trials total - three of each version. Any ideas on how to program the survey flow to do this?Note: I am also randomizing the presentation order of the trials!

What are the priors for the Bayesian HB-MNL used to calculate conjoint utilities?

Reading the conjoint analysis white paper, I see the following detail: “The Qualtrics Conjoint Analysis Solution uses Hierarchical Bayes estimation written in STAN to calculate individual preference utilities. Qualtrics runs 1000 iterations per Markov Chain and and runs 4 chains.” I am wondering if it is possible to know more details about this process, specifically: what priors are used for the coefficients? And, of that 1000 iterations, is that after a burn-in of 1000 iterations?

Calendar/time slots

Hello,I would like to have a question that allows respondents to sign up for 1date/time per person. My criteria is below.I have figured out how to add a calendar and a quota question. My issue is that the only way I’ve found to ensure criteria 3 is to use quotas. However, for a 2 week block it doesn’t make sense, as there would be way too many options for a multiple choice question, and numerous skip logics.I prefer the calendar but I can’t find a way to incorporate time slots unless I add a question which brings me back to the multiple choice question with what would be dozens of choices.This is for a 2 week block of time (Mon-Fri). The time slots need to be 15 min each from 8-5 with an hour blocked off for lunch. Each day/time slot can be selected only once.Is there a way to handle this sort of scenario that makes sense for a 10 day block of time? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thank you

Custom Type in Question for Course Evaluation Survey

QuestionIs it possible to Add a couple of custom questions that are not part of the dropdown list, but they can create on their own questions and then use those questions in the Course Evaluation Data Base.  Some more information on it.Way to add custom text to a survey by specifying the type of question (numerical scale, open-ended text box, etc) then we should be able to allow each instructor to specify the question text and then merge these text inputs with placeholders in the main survey.

Workflow is not showing embedded data

Hi all,I was wondering if someone could help.I am having a problem with a one of my workflows.I have piped some embedded data from my survey into an email trigger in a workflow.I know that the data is correctly stored as it is saved as embedded data. The embedded data is then correctly piped into my email trigger. This works for one language; however, I have the exact same message translated into another language (although the embedded data remains identical), but the data is not being shown. Has anyone else had this, or a similar problem before? Thank you in advance.

How to add total score across ALL entries

My registration form will have an option that is free, called "Clinics only" and will have teachers that register their students, as well as individuals registering themselves. I then have another field that captures the number of participants the teacher is registering.Field 1 = Registering myself or registering others (equals 1 seat) Field 2 = If registering others, indicate how many (numerical field from 1 - 39)Example:John is registering himself and 5 other participants so the total number of seats taken are 6. Sally is registering herself and 10 participants so the total number of seats taken now are 6 (from John’s registration) + 11 (from Sally’s registration) = 17 etc until the seats filled equals 40 then I want to turn off the submissions.Is this possible?

Survey delivery, multi approach

We are getting ready to deploy a survey to our customers. We have a website they log in in addition to an app. In the past we have delivered our surveys via email and sms. I’m wondering is there a way I can deploy via Mobile App SDK, then if they don’t complete within a time frame send them an email and/or an SMS? The catch is I have a ton of embedded data on each of the contacts and so they all need personal links, not an issue with email/sms, but am wondering how this would be done if we were to add in an the option to take the survey on our website/app.

Survey flow: Show a question only to particular groups after randomization

Hi everyone,I want to create a randomized study in Qualtrics. I have 6 groups (video 1, video 2, video 3, written 1, written 2, control). First, all participants get the same questions. Then the participants get randomized into one out of the 6 groups in which they either watch 1 out of 3 videos, read 1 out of 2 texts, or they are part of the control group. Afterward, all participants will be asked again the same questions. Then only the group's video 1, video 2, and video 3 get a question if they knew the actor displayed in the videos (called the "know actor question"). Following, all groups get the same questions again. Therefore:Same questions (Demographics) Randomized Same questions (Questions for dependent variable) ONLY QUESTION FOR VIDEO GROUP 1-3 Same questions (Other questions)My question is on how I can present the “know actor question” block to only some of the participants when they afterward get presented with the same questions again.Thank you!

Additional data in a survey

Hi,I have a survey to evaluate a Training session. We distribute it via QR codes, and within the survey url in the QR code, there is a url parameter that indicates &Training_ID=1So we have a couple dozen of different training ID’s.Each training has a name, location, type, etc.I do want to use the training’s name/location/type in my dashboards. i.e. what is the average satisfaction of the trainings in location B.I don’t want to add every single extra field into my QR code url, that makes the QR too dense. I only want the training ID in my url.What is the most efficient way to be able to use this additional data about the trainings?My current method is to add a Branch per training id.So branch 1: If Training_ID = 1, then Name = x and Location = A and type = z.Branch 2: If Training_ID = 2, then Name = y and location = B and type = yand so forthbut this is starting to be a whole lot of branches as our number of trainings is growing. I also tried to have an additional project, an import

Can I use the field editor to determine who answered some survey questions?

I thought the bucketing option might work, but it limits to one question at a time. I want to group respondents into two groups. Group 1 = yes if they answered Q1, Q2, Q3. Group 2 = No, they did not answer Q1, Q2, Q3.  (I don’t care about their answers, just that they answered all 3 questions.)I’m aware of the “finished” variable, but Qualtrics defines “finished” as those that completed all survey questions and click submit. I’m looking to create a new definition of “finished.”

How do I make all the answers left aligned on a carousel matrix question?

I have a scale that is 1 - not at all satisfied, 2, 3, 4, 5 - extremely satisfied in a carousel matrix and all the answer options are center aligned which makes it look terrible. I want to keep the vertical alignment but make it left aligned. I've never done custom code so please the more detail the better :)

Workflow follow-up email to prolific participants

Has anyone ever used Qualtrics Workflow to send follow-up emails to Prolific participants?Prolific has a function that allows you to send an email to participants, for example 58dbb652520ca20001e87f23@email.prolific.com, and the participant '58dbb652520ca20001e87f23' will receive the email as if you sent them a message through the Prolific interface.More info: https://researcher-help.prolific.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360009222893-How-can-I-contact-participants-#h_01HD4A5EMYNJ2YJFQY2FJY3BKJHowever, in order for the email to get through to the participant in Prolific, the email address from which you send an email using an external client must be registered to a Prolific account (i.e. it must me my own email address)I’d like to integrate this using a Qualtrics Workflow Task, but I’m not sure how to set up the to and from email address parameters. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Help to streamline membership sign in

Hi, Our non for profit currently uses Qualtrics to collect data on our clients so we can apply for important funding. Sign ins are asked of clients every time they participate in an event or program.  We supply iPads and a QR code for clients to complete survey with necessary demographic questions. This is quite inconvenient for clients, especially when they are regulars who are constantly refilling the same survey. Is there a way to use Qualtrics as a membership sign in system, where a client who pays for a membership to our Centre, can use an individual QR code or identifying number etc so the Demographics autofill? Perhaps the first question on the survey could ask if they were a member and then prompt them to enter an identifying code which would then trigger an autofill of that particular members demographics. We already us JoinIt as a membership platform but are able to use the digital membership cards supplied there in any useful way with Qualtrics. Hopefully I’m making sense! K

Piped text from multiple choice option (text entry )

Hi everyone!I have contacted the support already but they could not help me :/My Problem:I have a multiple choice question with different answer options. One of them allows text entry:       Others: _____________Now I want to pipe in the text entry into the question text of a following question.Therefore I have used       ${q://QID42/ChoiceTextEntryValue/24}But then the piped text is (for example: the respondent has typed in “ABC”):       “Others: ABC”What I want is only the answer “ABC” to be piped, not the answer choice “others:”.How can I do that?Thanks for your help!:) h.
