Back Button Hidden in between

i have enabled back button but back button is still missing at few screens due to below warning given on support page. Is there any way i can still see the back button on those screens where it is missing due to below reason. Warning: In some cases, a back button will not show on a page of the survey even if you have the setting enabled in your survey options. This is caused by having elements between blocks in your survey flow. Any element (branch logic, embedded data, randomizer, web service, etc.) will disable the back button on the first page of the block that follows it.

I am a brand administrator. One of my users (Standard Qualtrics - no limits) wants to email his survey participants, but sees that his mailings will need to b approved. How to I give him permission to send mailings without any approval?

Summing Matrix Table text entry of numbers to place in reporting

Hello - I have a Matrix table of text entries where the end user will enter numbers into each box.  I would like to sum each ROW of the table and embed that into a report.  I am new to much of this feature and not sure of the best way to approach. It looks like using Constant Sum does not report out anywhere other than on screen.  Many thanks!

Hi, I am looking for a way to add custom validation for two different text entry fields in a matrix table, one with a month range of 1-12 for month, and the second for year range of 1990s to 2000s. Is there a way to validate two separate text entry boxes?

Advice on setting up a Loop & Merge for simpler data analysis

Hi all,I was wondering if I can get some advice on setting up a Loop & Merge study and whether there is an approach I can take to make analysing the data much simpler. I am looking to put together a project whereby participants can view two items and their task is to rate the similarity (1-10) of the two. I have tried to conduct something similar in the past using Loop & Merge, but the output ended up being very unruly. For this, I had some JS that took items from a master list and placed them in their positions (i.e., left or right hand side of the screen for participants to just similarity). The information I could only put in the master list were the Qualtrics IDs from the library which, since they cannot be renamed (i.e., F=F_XXXXXX), makes it very unclear as to what each combination is. This can get worse with more items and therefore more combinations. This project was some time ago, and I was wondering as to whether anyone has had better luck with a set-up for something

How do I reference today's date when creating a sample?

I stored a follow-up survey date in my distribution list and I want to create a sample where the stored date is equals to today’s date. However, none of the date operators seems to be straightforward for me to do so. Is there a way to create a sample based on today’s date without stating a specific date?  (this is because I want to later incorporate this into a scheduled workflow that will run daily)

Reasons for same psid

Hi,I have come across a situation where two of the anonymous survey responses on Qualtrics had same IP addresses and psid with different response times. In one of the responses the data seems to be largely empty but I wanted to know the instances as it to how this happened. In what cases can two responses have both psid and IP address to be the same?Additionally I also wanted to understand if we can unique psid for opening anonymous survey link on two separate devices under the same IP network?

Can't find specific survey location

Hi I’m having some issues with finding the location of a specific survey. I know I have access to the survey as I can view/edit/publish, and I’m even a brand admin. The thing is that when I try to browse or even search for the survey, I can’t find it. It’s not under the “share with me” category nor is it under “your folders”, can you let me know where could it be located ? Can I find out from within the survey itself ? Thanks

Is there any way to automatically close responses in progress that have reached a certain question or progress percentage?

Our survey ends with a page of informational text and links to other sites. We are unable to put this information in an end of survey message because some of the information must be shown or hidden based on display logic that is only available within the survey builder. We frequently have respondents who will close out of this page rather than pressing the ‘next’ button to record their survey response. This leaves a response in progress that has functionally completed the survey. We want to make sure that these respondents do not receive additional reminders and are marked as recorded as soon as possible. I am currently closing these responses in progress manually each morning, but they can sometimes slip through the cracks when I am out of office. I asked our development team to see if this could be done automatically using the Qualtrics API, but they did not believe that to be achievable. That leaves us with this question: Does anyone know of a way to automatically close responses in

Optimizing Workflow Tasks Conditions in Multilingual Surveys: Seeking Efficient Solutions

Hi all, I'm launching a pop-up survey in numerous languages and developing a workflow to forward select customer text responses to a Slack Channel.While I understand translations can't precede sending feedback to the channel, I'm facing challenges in filtering out "trash" feedback containing words like 1. "nothing," 2. "none," or 3. "no"; plus the classic 4. “--”, 5. “.” and 6. empty responses. With the surveys live in 6+ countries and expanding, is there a more efficient method than setting 6+ conditions x 25+ languages x n questions each time I want to send new survey text feedback to Slack? Perhaps a more sophisticated approach like using boolean queries?Any feedback/recommendation/insight will be really appreciated.Thank you!

Scripting Questionnaire

We're evaluating respondents' views on seven statements rated on a 5-point scale. The condition we aim to implement involves selecting individuals who answer 4 or 5 for at least 5 out of the 7 statements (statements 1-7). Hi,  I have a question whether respondents can get an automated email with a link to completed survey, to view their survey response, if the respondent receives the survey via email? Is this feature available in the free Qualtrics survey account? Separately, how would the respondent view their completed survey and download PDF?

Validation for each character in a text entry question

I have a text entry question which needs to have the following format:-it needs to be exactly 6 characters long-The first character can only be one of the letters p,m.l,k,n (both uppercase and lowercase are fine)-The second character can only be a number-The next three can only be letters (any letter, uppercase or lowercase)-The last one has to be a number. How can I set this on the survey platform?

Adding excel file

Hi,I’m designing a within-subjects design to be conducted on Qualtrics.I have an Excel dataset with 2000 ad copies (1 per row). 1000 of these are real ad copies while 1000 are AI-generated. I want each participant to be randomly exposed to 10 of these ad copies, and for each one, answer a question that asks how much they think this ad copy was written by a human?'. I want each ad copy in the dataset to receive 5 votes. How do I do this on Qualtrics? Thanks! Luca

Results in qualtrics - crosstab

Is there a way to do crosstabs between survey items in a survey result? I.e., for a categorical variable, stratify along a numeric variable - for example question 1 asks about gender and question 2 asks about age in years. How would I stratify question 2 by gender category?

Custom CSS and custom header JS and HTML are being ignored

Hello!I'm trying to add some custom CSS and JS code to my survey, but for some reason, it's being ignored (both from the header editor and custom CSS). I even tried adding just an HTML comment to the survey header, but it is also being ignored.Since I'm working via a university account, I thought that maybe it is a permission issue, but as the app doesn't block me from adding the code, I don't know what to ask for from the brand administrator in my university.Could you please help me with this?Thank you

Exporting Survey Response to PDF showing Qualtrics Template Language and not actual Question

When I try to download a survey response to pdf the questions are populating with Qualtrics template language for the type of question and not showing the actual question. For example, My first question is a “Form” type.The pdf is showing “Q1. Finally, the last text entry we’ll talk about is the “Form” type. It’s like a group of smaller boxes that are all put together, and allows you to gather smaller pieces of information...”.  Q1 form is showing the correct response, but the question is template Qualtrics language. Same for a multiple choice question. The question is Qualtrics template language explaining the multiple choice question type and even the multiple choice answers are templated, however the selected response corresponds with what position the multiple choice answer is on the actual survey. My question is how can I show my actual survey questions and responses when I export to PDF?Thank you.

Quotas and Retake survey

HelloI have quotas set up in my survey which work well. I would like the respondent to have an option to change their mind about their reply. I know how to implement the retake survey option. However, I cannot find a way for the quota to adjust as well (automatically). It’s not practical to monitor and adjust the quota every time someone retakes the survey. Am I missing something? Thank you!
