I'm trying to un-check the multiple radio buttons when the user selects one radio button from the table. But, I could not do it using jquery/javascript. Hello.Is there anyway for qualtrics to display different questions at random within the same block, but instead of just choosing, say, 5 out of 10 at random it instead chooses 1 of 2, then 1 of 2, etc.IE. A repeated measures design where each question displayed one of two conditions at random (conditions represented within the question answer text boxes) without the need for participants to repeatedly press the next button (which is necessary when using one block for just one question).I have attached a picture to try and explain the point better,

Hi, I want to have a short 5 minutes in between the questions in my survey where participants are playing tetris and can't click out/through to the next page. I have a .swf file (Tetris game) from a while ago, but converting it to html5 is not as easy as I hoped (is html5 even what I need for this? help!). I know very little about code, so if anyone can help me with this, that would be great! Any other versions/options for tetris are welcome. What should I (not) be looking for? Is what I want to do even possible?

Hello, Everyone:On page 1 of a project, I've created a dropdown menu that includes a list of names (Last Name, First Name) of the select persons who have been targeted as respondents. EXAMPLE: "Doe, John" (Intentional formatting of names for ease in data analysis later.)On page 2, after respondents have chosen their names from the dropdown list on the previous page, I'd like to them to be greeted with a, "Hello (First Name Last Name)!" statement that reverses the format of the names from the dropdown list. EXAMPLE: "Hello, John Doe!"I was someone would know of and be willing to share code that would reverse the display the respondents' names from the dropdown list when they appear in greeting statement on page 2. I have no idea whether what I'd like to do is possible, but I'm living with a, "there is code for everything", philosophy at the moment that I'm putting to the test. 😊Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,I have a use case where I have 3 groups and a total of 4 blocks of questions that are shared with the groups...Group 1 has the chance of seeing all 4 blocks of my survey, however they will only be displayed 2 and it is randomized and evenly presented.Group 2 will only see one specific block.Group 3 can see 3 of the blocks and also evenly presented at random.This means that there is no 'last block' that everyone sees where I could have a submit button. I am curious if there is a way to show a submit button when there is no definitive last block (And I do not want to add a block at the end that everyone sees. I don't want more questions and I don't need to ask anything else)Is there any way to identify that a block displayed is the final block? Anything that you can tap into with JS? I'm thinking that something has to tell Qualtrics that this is the last question of the survey or maybe the number block that is shown. Any thoughts? Is this possible?Thanks,Mike

Hello! Can I customize the background of my survey by each block/page of my survey? For example, the first page of the survey would have one type of background. Then, when the respondent hits the next button, the background would change to a different design.

I am trying to create a matrix of values where the respondent selects the two that add up to 100 (like this...)Can I do this with an already existing question type or does this needed special code?

Is there a way to disable the Signature question that has already been signed? Use case is a retake link scenario where the question will be visible again but we do not want it to be active. I tried changing the attribute to readonly or disabled, but perhaps I am not properly referring to the element ID. Or maybe there's another way? Thank you!

Hi! In my survey participants need to learn 2 decks of cards, each containing 20 statements. Following the learning, there is a test in which they need to group about 10 random statements to the correct deck.If they accurately group 8 statements to their corresponding deck, they will continue to the next questions If they fail to do so, they will have a new chance with another 10 statements. If they fail 3 times, the survey will end.I guess it might be done with JS but I'm totally clueless. I have now idea how to get to the particpant answers in the code (for a "Pick, Group, and Rank" kind of question)I will appreciate any input!

Hello!First time Qualtrics user here—I'm also using QRTEngine (support has been discontinued for this for a while, but it is still working for my needs). I'm getting this weird issue which I am at a complete loss for, and was hoping someone could help me find the origin and/or find a workaround. My survey appears with massive margins on iPhones (both in Safari and in Chrome), but appears as it should on Andriod mobile devices and desktops (both Windows and Apple). All pages of the survey are scrunched up like this on iPhones (not just one page or question). Requesting a desktop site in Chrome on iPhone doesn't improve the display. I am able to scroll the thin column of text a bit left and right to see all of the content of the question. Hi,I have a graphic image where different areas of the image are hotboxes. I would like to embed a display logic where if a participant clicks that hotbox area, there will be a popup/little box that comes up showing additional information related to that particular hotbox. The easiest way to explain this would be if I had a map of New York City, if I clicked the hotbox associated with Manhattan, then a box would pop up showing information I've inputted in about population density, gender, etc. This pop up would differ as I clicked hotboxes for Queen's, Brooklyn, etc. Is it possible to do this with the hotbox question? I would appreciate your help!

Hello there!In my experience with other survey development platforms when adding a dropdown field for zip codes, there was a feature that allowed the user to start typing in their zip code, and the question would automatically start to try and lock in their specific zip code from the list within the question. Is there a similar feature to this in Qualtrics? I have searched through the community forum and have not found anything similar.

I have timed a block for 20 minutes for a quiz section. But if a student finishes the test before the 20 minutes of time. The timer stills runs in the background. Is there a way I could stop the timer if the student moves out of the block? I look forward to any help.

I am currently using JavaScript to create in-page display logic for one of my dropdown menu questions. Some of the child questions have a force response validation attached to them. When I try to submit the survey I cannot because a required question is not answered even though it is still hidden by the JavaScript and selections made. Does anyone know a work around using JavaScript to make questions required only when they meet the proper logic and are unhidden and are not required when they are still hidden?Thanks!
